Where's are air guys at?
This has me wondering WTF?

How the hell dose the air drop 30 fucking points in that short of a run? I've confirmed it with other temt/rh taker that I know is accurate?....WTF??

Temperature and relative humidity are inversely proportional. This means that if temperature increases, the relative humidity will decrease. The relative humidity is determined as a function of the absolute humidity, and varies with temperature.

Here in NY I have to add moisture to the room most of the time.
I use a humidifier for this. Since November it has been hard to have enough.
With recent swings in outdoor temp my RH has gone whacky. 70+% on warmer days while struggling to maintain 50% on cooler days.
I don't have a dehumidifier anymore but use the air conditioner when temps outside are warmer and humidity is excess.
It is almost time to turn on the AC, but still staying cool enough here that only on the warmer days is my RH too high.

I just don't understand how it drops like that, humidity is sitting at 58, let me check something

My room has a 20 degree rise on the intake during Winter and a 10 degree drop in Summer months compared to ambient outside air I draw from.
Air was the greatest challenge for me indoors but eventually I figured it out and got it to my advantage. It's just not cookie cutter for many and all sorts of extra fans, heater, dehuey, and or AC will be needed to make it work

Yep, you know as well as I do that air is worth it. I just don't understand why it drops like that, fuck it's short.

Just know that if air being used is a different temp than the tent the RH will change when it enters the tent.
As Bandit mentioned fine tuning these dynamics can take a grow or two, especially in areas where seasonal changes are large.
My room would like me to run both humidifier and dehumidifier if it had its way.
Sometimes middle of the road is as good as it gets.

Lmao....I don't like your answer bud!!! šŸ˜‹
I know it bugs me tho, not really being able to know how. ...but, something just hits me!
I know air drys when it hits warm air, I get all that. I was wondering how it could lose that MucH in that short run?... was talking about ELK this morning and reminded myself air rises in the morning it's lighter, and falls the rest of the day heavier.
So...fuckjust some bullshitery on a Sunday morning.

Awh ya I'll do a seed update deal later..fuck...

Nice bro. Yeah I have bow hunted those things over there. Never got a Rosie though. That country is tough man. I have gotten several bulls and cows over on the dry side of Oregon where I live but I really can't stand hunting on the wet side, or the dark side as my friends call it. I'm sure it is the same in Washington. Just jungle. And I agree, those are huge bodied bulls. Must be the lush diet. I hunt outside of Prineville, OR and the bulls are tiny bodied. Like the smallest bodies elk Iv'e ever seen. Its weird. Anyway yeah I kill shit too. Here is some of my taxidermy (attached pic). But more importantly, Have you had any Squatch activity??
Last summer I was vaca on the boarder. I bumped into him

My coon hunting budy in Ohio has had some strange squatch encounters.i spend allot of time in the woods, hunting fishing but personally have never encountered one . I did have some strange stuff happen to me in the alegany national forest in Pennsylvania one spring evening mushroom hunting, but it wasnt Squatch related .you guys ever ran into one?

So this little sprout today is only this big??

On my phone: 230-250 ppfd... under 24inch away...( not yet watered in )...I could tell something was up, they lost speed and stopped, I've raised the light to over the recommended 24in to 30in @250-290ppfd.
The did respond to the water-in...
What ppfd@ inch away roughly?

Edit:: Auto flower..water only..6.2
250 seems a little high for a seedling, imo.

I do low ppfd, 100-200, 20-24 hours for the seed stage, once they start drooping away from the light, I can then adjust the
DLI - A balance between light intensity, and duration.

I'm working on your VG now and I'm using wood filament to match your living space. First time I've gotten the wood to work for me! It's a blend of actual wood and plastic so when it prints I actually smell the wood burning thru the hot nozzle. So far so good on the print but nothing is guaranteed when working with unique fifilaments.
šŸ˜Ž

Actual wood in it?

Neat

it is, but remember her had the cups on for domes. so he was probably closer to 100..
I thought it would not be a significant amount of diffusion (?) Compared to having an opaque cover?

Not trying to be argumentive or combative, just steepen understanding/knowledge.

Its not great but I've seen worse, as advertised i over/under watered and low,low rh . Dry back is going better than I thought it would. So a few still need some time, some will not make it ,
20250413_180143.jpg
I've turned down the light, not lookin to blast any amount of any thing. Turned off the red, and dimmed the blue to a t5 level , later today I'll know more its recovery already

So ya...FYI. do not paniK at 2:30am when you see 28%rh and just bottom water 30 fuckin freshly planted seeds, you don't have to...I've already duun it...šŸ’Æ

;bsmoke
Well fuck...27.5 fuck..in under 36hr germ?? I would have NEVER even thought I'd be planting that many at one time. And a legit germination...far as I know anyway.
3-4 days is all the days old. I've rushed water. Lights have been not over done much, this is what I'm seeing, they responded very well to a forced dry back . The long legged ones will get potted up to day.

Irs only been a few days Dj...slow it down..haha. and this 550 for now to me its just a veg light.
I'll never start like this again, just making notes...cuz i forgot how many days/hours old we were

Did a 911 media refresh. Then went blue for a few hours after .
Then just now went to a 2r 10w 35b it's not much but I don't think they need much right now.....I could be wrong...

My little runt, it was in the seedlings starter mix and it had grabbed a pice of mix and just matted up with the overwater. Some will make it, some and wont, there's one or two that I'm not holding my breath about 20250415_050406.jpg20250415_050515.jpg
20250415_050310.jpg
I was gonna say something else but I forgot

watering is something everybody has different and no real template to follow. i look at how often others water and there no way it would work for me. i try to induce more dry back but my basement holds the moisture no matter what the meter says on the wall.

here's one to blow your mind.. my plants are around twelve weeks old since seed right now, i bet i've watered around five times total right now. between upcan timing and top off with fresh moist soil i just didn't need any water. in fact every watering has been a feeding for me.

all except for one plant in the garden, that one drinks like a sailor and smells like truck driver!! for some reason that one plant uses way more water and gets watered at least every five days.

watering almost becomes an art as much as it is a science...

those gen 1 lights were made during the wild wild west times of led manufacturing, they're on the hot side and require some restriction.

i wouldn't give your plants any more than 30% of any one color and i would be at 9R-15W-30B if it were mine.

a plant has five stages of life that i count..

seedlings are from birth to five bladed leaves and the stem starts to harden.
veg is from that time till a week or so before the flip.
pre flower is just before the flip until cotton tops
flower is from cotton till two weeks before harvest
finish is the last two weeks.

and thats how i do it every time.. i follow these spectrums and just adjust power but keep the ratios.

my next bump will be flower spectrum 90-90-33

i miss pool.. a lot. i still have a table, in pieces. i lost that room when my mom moved in.

.

those spectrum settings come directly from solar system's webpage.. i figure the webpage hasn't been updated since that light came out so these settings apply to this gen1 solar system more than any other. i don't use these settings with my gen2 or gen3 light.
