I’m growing for the first time and don’t really have a concept for what my plant should look like before flower this picture is how it looks in veg currently and I was hoping for some advice on how to proceed

My plant is currently recovering from some root issues so I was thinking of waiting till it was recovered and putting it into flower soon after is this plant a decent enough size that i can get a reasonable harvest off of it once it’s put into flower or should i have some intermediate steps before going into flower ?

Welcome to Bud Builders!

Your plant looks good for a first time so great job with that. You can flip to flower any time I would say, depending on your space, you don't want to out grow your space and typically, plants double to triple in height during the first 3 weeks of flower. Besides that, some defoliation might be in order now and as well once she starts to stretch.

almost no wrong time to flip, some wait five days some wait ten weeks.. a young plant not ready to flower will grow a bit before showing flowers, whereas a more mature plant might show sex in a week, or sometimes even in veg yet.

this is a great idea and i'm all for having a plant as healthy as can be for the flip, size and time second. health is always the top priority for me.

you newest growth looks good from here and thats always a great sign.

feel free to ask away any questions you may have.

..

and also everything SLG said above..^^ feel free to pick a few center leaves down the middle and open some light up in her center. some folks like to tie the outer branches out a little further to also increase more growth.

your plant has a nice bushy stance and i'd roll with that advantage.
