2 harvest? Going to shoot for at least 200 this fall. Growing hard neck, Italian and elephant I purchased to try.Garlic?? Been growing them 10-11 years now. Best crop in the garden. You get 2 harvests and seed for next year. I harvested 500 + in July.View attachment 68578
Otay, gotcha. Yes I cut the scapes also...Yes 2 harvests if you are growing hard necks. I get a garlic scape harvest around first week in June and then harvest the bulbs around July 4th.

I have a bunch of elephants here too. I grow them for the flower. I will eat the scapes but the elephant garlic itself is just too bland. It does naturalize nicely though. Makes dynamite cut flowers that last a long time.Otay, gotcha. Yes I cut the scapes also...
Pretty spot for a garden. Looks like you have some good soil to work with, tooSpread garden lime last night and started turning soil over for another garden. Getting rid of the above ground and just going to fence it in.
You get hard freezes over winter?Almost done, just trying to figure out if I should plant onions in raised bed in the ground with garlic and see how it comes up in the spring. Just bed area to turn over is left
