GRASS! ...now that we can grow it, how do you mow it?

No its not a dehydrater it will dry the bud and cure the bud and you can leave it in long term for storage will keep humidity at 61 percent. 4 day dry and 4 day cure or set what you want
jesus fucking christ

1600$ for the dry/cure stage alone?

and theres no other way to get the same quality-end product with out it?, or keeping/controlling the same parameters otherwise?

if the answer is yes, then why?

then about 10-12 days at 60f/60%RH until the stems crack.
and if you/i/one can not get 60/60 it seems totally fuckin ruined at that point (?), IMO, IME.

but i dont fkin know.

i need more dry/cure time experience, working on it.

No works well noticed big difference in taste and very smooth no more harsh smoke.
wireless keyboard is down again hard to type on my plug in. I checked out the DIY looks .....cool....lol

you like to tinker i thought it might be up your alley
Tinker I do, Do you know of Aliexpress? ...well I just ordered a mini wood lathe...if you can call it that. I didn't look too deeply into it and it might be actual size in the pic but free shipping and no tax has me a wood lathe1699315406481.png

My buddy has one of these, hell of a machine. It Does an amazing job. I do mine in a little wine fridge with a small dehu in it.

I wouldn't say ruined, but it does take a bit more care when curing if the drying parameters aren't great. I didn't really notice a huge difference in weed dried faster and warmer as long as you catch it in time to cure, and cure a bit longer. I prefer 60/60 because the pot is smooth and smokeable after a couple weeks and requires minimal cure time. The bud tastes a little fresher.

ok well shit

im between this is either 10 minutes from too dry, or 10 minutes till time to Jar, and having the experience/knowledge to decide which is which (????)

on this one plant i liked - am trying to dry/cure as "properly" as i can, one of the better looking/smelling ones from the pollen chucking bagseeds experiment/learning test

i dont know which is which, there seems to be a "moisture" smell still, so im guessing keep it in the paper bag still, but the stems ARE breaking, BUT if you get to the center of the bud, theres a "Dankish" smell....smells nice.......

AC is out of Freon....guess they are supposed to come add more tomrrow....APT is 77-79f....

they put a window unit in our bedroom though so its around 70-75

doing this in my closet or my showerbathroom we dont use to dry them for a few days then figure it out

appreciate youre help dirtybags

if i start to cure at this time will it "balance" out? or fuck it up?

You need some hygrometers. Vac seal or jar the weed with a hygrometer in with it where you can see it and see where it's at. 65%+, open the bag for 12-24 hrs, seal it up and see where it settles.
63-65%, crack the bag/jar open for an hr a day.
60-62%, money spot. Leave it there.

Depends how much weed you have. I used to cure in big totes with sealing lids, then went to curing bags, but that was dealing with many many pounds. For my personal grow I used vac seal bags.
For under a pound or so I'd use quart jars.

Recently bought a box of jars too for the upcoming harvest

ok ill give it some time to adjust, its at 59%, this one plant, it probably could have went another week, but im in a rush to get this fucked off run out of my mind, this is from the grow i started at the last place and had all the power outages and AC not working.

its at 60% now

woo, was starting to pant there,

I use cvault and to cure and store. I first used the mason jars with hygrometers and soon got tired of burping 40 jars and went to the vaults. I use the 4,6,8 and 21 liter vaults. 8oz,12oz,16oz and 1kilo.
I just took mine off the nets Saturday and after sweating them from 60 degree drying temperature to room temp the meters went from 66% to 68% now.(warmer temps the humidity goes up).

When i burp a 21 liter vault its the same as 20,jars. Ive left these vaults unopened for 6 months with little or no change in humidity readings

Here's air force one i cut 10 days ago and was 66% on Saturday. The trick is to get it before it hits 62% and bring it down in the vaults. I've never missed.

so least one can do, regardless of temperature control? and try to slow the dry down

my shit is drying in like 3 days...

so i may be in some-luck, its sitting at 59% in jar for about 20 minutes now

i should have checked this yesterday and id be fine i bet, or in a better spot, didnt think it would matter much if it dried down to 58-62% within 3 days after chop (?)

just fuckin aggravated i dont have the spot/equipment for 60/60 to "properly" slowly dry it.

ill keep trying otherwise, got 3 more plants i chopped last night and are hanging in the extra showerroom

gotta get me some of those bad boys down the line.

looks good

Imo a slow dry is better and if i can control that dry in vaults it's still a slow dry. Those have bean drying now for 10 days technically

Dried on the stalk to 62% or dried in a mason jar to 62%. Whats the difference?

i see youre point, i think.

next time ill also wait and just try drying in the tent

the heat

the hydrocarbons

the terps

idk

how cold do yall keep your house?

its 76 here, inside, and with 50-60RH it seems way too fast of a "Dry" (about 4 days) hanging in the bathroom shut
and terpenes are evaporating off the plant. (?)
i want those terpenes too

i have other plants chopped as of yesterday, ill go over and verify with, in my environment

Yeah its something like that, 58 was the number in my head. I always just sealed them up low 60's.
Thanks Y'all

im at 59RH and 75F in the Jars.

so, that'll actually "start" to "cure"?

leave it sealed & Alone?

ill bother ya in a week or 2 about those jars "Curing" and on Status

lol

Imo it takes a couple hrs at least to stabilize again after opening and closing the jar.

Edit as your temp drops from 75 to 72(room temp) so will the humidity reading
