I may have bought the last $33 bag of COM Stonington Blend on Amazon

Just saw this today.
$35.99 and I have an ACE less than 2 miles away.
I'll be checking this out and stocking up if possible.

Still a no-go for me. $85 to ship four bags to my house.
The "Ace Hardware" in my area is an Ace affiliate but way different than what you might think. It's what people call an "upscale hardware store". Luxury brands and shit. It's more like Bed Bath and Beyond for the elite.
Why it's an Ace, I have no idea but fuck that store.
They don't carry dirt so they wont have ship to store there. Rich people don't get their hands dirty so they wont sell that stuff or offer it to be picked up.

I knew I was fucked pulling into the parking lot and not seeing the classic Ace Hardware sign and instead some fancy pants shit that read Breed & Co.

Wtf is "breed & co" ?

Sounds like a stuck up snooty tractor supply that never has shit you need.

That's exactly what it is.
Say you want something like a Traegar grill that costs $400 everywhere. You can buy that same grill there for $650 and be able to say you bought it from Breed & Company. That shit means something to rich people.
The first time I ever encountered it was with cars and California. People in NorCal would go down to Beverley Hills to buy their car just so the license frame would be from a Beverly Hills dealer. The rich are weird AF when it comes to those optics. It's not just what you buy that matters but also where you buy it.

I like to spend money too, but to flat out waste it just because you "can" isn't the right way to go about it, Holy fuck lol
Pay 400 from TSC and give the other 250 to a charity if you really wanna spend 650 lol

Good point lol, was he running one at the time though? Didn't think he was.
I believe that was the trick he was using.
The whole temp thing revolves around DO.
I do think if you grew like me or G$ the cost would be made up in a couple grows and then the only cost would be nutes and elec.
I have just about everything needed except easy RO water since my shop is unheated.
The water and the fact I still stumble with soil keep me from taking the leap fall.

Ive gone CHEAP! I'm reusing my promix now, I don't need a buffer and thats all that is in promix.
I give water only the last 10-14 days so I consider that a good enough "flush"
Seeds get fresh soil, but when I go from 4" pots to 2 gallon they get used shit and they love it 🤷🏻
Aint shit in promix anyways so I didn't see the sense in buying new every run.
Maybe every 3rd I will.

Yea, u can run higher RZT if the roots are getting plenty of oxygen, around 20-30 mg/l DO, I think, atleast.

The bad, anaerobic bacteria does not like the oxygen concentration, and think that plays a role with keeping it clean and benefits the root system.

Mycorrhizae fungi should be fine with that oxygen concentration too, don't quote me on that though, need more data.

Once one can recycle the water, cost goes way down too.

Edit: Yup, he was running 02 Injection.

Tell them you got it on sale or at a “lesser” store and watch the lip curl and nose turn down. But somehow Costco is okay?

Bandit would with his temps

I could if I wanted to...DWC is a nice little tool of experience to have in the box, but at the end of the day it's not for me.

Too high maintenance, hands are tied when it comes to multi strains in one grow, salt based diets result in metallic tasting weed, it's Hell on equipment, tear down post grow is just the worst and more.
There's a time and p[lace for it though. Like if I wanted to produce a mother plant, a single lady, then break her down into clones, I'd do it with DWC. And for cloning I'll use DWC. But when it comes to smoke, I want it organic.

Waters Cheaper :)

The tribalism between hydro and soil growers has always been lost on me. Mainly because I'm in a prohibition state and there's enough enemies there for growers of all methods to unite against. In my local circle most are soil, some in Earthen soil outside, aquaponics, and SIP. Couple Undercurrent style DWC too. We all feed off each others tips and tricks. It's there where I learned to merge coco hydro with organics.
I use both and have been trying to mate the two for years. The perfect grow for me starts in hydro for the speed and ends in organics for the flavor and potency
