Hey what’s up guys! I’m Don, nice to meet you all!😎
I’m a regular smoker and love weed! Recently i bought some weed at my local shop, and to my surprise there were 2 seeds in the bag. One didn’t make it, and the other one is growing as i type this lol. It’s my first ever weed plant (i have some experience with gardening), but i must say the beginning has been quite challenging already. It is becoming a nice little plant alteady though! I’m growing organic (outside) in the Netherlands. I love nature and don’t want to use chemicals.. I hope you guys can give me your opinion and maybe some tips and tricks! I believe the lowest 2 little leafs should change color and shrink and eventually be gone right? I was worried sick about the color, but the top of the plant and leafs look quite alright, doesn’t it? I believe it was just part of the seedling maybe? I used a bit of coffee grounds to feed the little plant, but not over feed it.. Besides that i use rain water mostly, but now it’s a dry period so i use the water from the tap.

Anyways, cheers and have a good day! 😁🤘🏻

Hi Don, welcome to BB. If your interested in general conversations go over to Cannagranny’s corner and say hi.

As for your seedling it’s going to take a while to find out if it’s a male or female. Either in late vegetation or early flower. IDK of any other way to tell.

Looks like she’s ready to feed. Nothing left from the seed. Rain waters great but watch out for the tap water. If you don’t know what’s in it let it sit over night before watering. Lets any nasties like chlorine dissipate.

Make sure it gets around 18 hours of light and 6 hours dark or you’ll make it flower and/or reveg.

If you haven’t already start feeding it lightly, more N. Don’t over water, let it dry out a bit to spread its roots.

Off to a nice start, look forward to finding out the sex. 👊

Hey man, thank you so much. Very clear and easy explanation for a rookie like me haha. Great tip about the tapwater too, appreciate it. Could you recommend any organic food that’ll do the job? I was thinking of Worm castings, works really well with my other flowers..

Better pictures.. These were made today (2.5 weeks old). I see many small hairs and the little plant looks quite full already. Is it a female, can anyone tell for sure?
Hey, Welcome. Lots to learn but your in the right place to get help. You'll need to transplant soon if not already into a larger pot. I transplant at about 10 days old from cups to pots. Your soil needs aeration, I'd suggest 40% perlite added to your soil before you transplant. Cannabis likes light airy soil.

You are going to need nutrients if you want to grow something worthy of a harvest and to smoke afterwards. Plants don't care if its Organic or synthetic nutrients. What we add gets broken down into Ions plants absorb and they don't care if the ions are chemically created or organically, an ion is an ion is an ion, there is no organic ions or chemical ions, they are ions period.

At that age I'd feed a very light feed to get them started, like 2/2/2ml per gal of my Micro/Grow/Bloom General Hydroponics + 1/2 tsp/gal epsom salts this feed increasing to 1 tsp/gal after around 4 weeks of age.

Lots of choice for nutrients companies, pick one and stick with one company to provide everything the plants need. Mixing and matching doesn't always work and can lead to bad interactions and or deficiencies.

Worm castings are usually 1:0:0 or 2:0:0. Great as part of the nutes but not enough to just be the only nutrient.

As PC noted you’re going to need to up pot. Some do it quick, others wait a bit longer. I put a clear cup in a dark cup with holes only in the clear cup. This lets me pull out the clear cup and see how the roots are doing. Once they are established I transplant. Clear cups I get from takeout, just wash them first.

Also as PC noted nutrients are nutrients. If you know and trust a brand use it. If not try to get something you can find easily, preferably on sale as this stuff gets pricey fast.

Popular liquids are General Hydroponics, Botanicare or Fox Farm. Dry powders I don’t know as well but Gaia Green or even Jobes I’ve used. (4:4:4 Grow /2:8:4 Bloom)

If indoors you’ll want clear non scented epsom to help, I’ve not used it outdoors, yet.

CalMag or ProCal to give it a little help/boost before flowering.

Watch out for gimmicks. Stick to the basics at first. Lots of rabbit holes growing weed. 🤣

Ask as many questions as you want/need. Everyone here has a lot to share and will add/chime in with advice. I still consider myself a noob. I just get lucky a lot. 😝

I was waiting for my money lol, i was told this would be a good organic mixture:
