Kuwl...... MH FC 8000 EVO + 6 Plants

Since it can't get worse I made some efforts to save as many as I can.
I loosened up the dirt, with a screw driver, to give the roots some breathing room.
I was kinda compacted I felt.
Also took the half dead WT and put it in fresh soil in a solo cup.
Sprayed some folar spray ( 1ml Mag in quart sprayer) on the one AHLJ plant that has the yellow leaves.
Maybe it will help idk.
Picked the light up a couple of inches and set exhaust fan to lvl 2 and started up the air intake fan to 1.
I upped the ventilation to get rid of any excess moisture and get them pots to dry up better.
I also turned off the steamer, hummi still @ 40% but raining outside so more moisture should come in.
By tomorrow I will check and hope the runtz and ahjl will show some signs of recovery.
If not I'll pop more seeds.

The 2 seeds I put in water (WT/TD) popped a lil last night, put in damp pt, got legs this morning, put in plain SSM #4 soil.
In a few days it will catch up to the other WT. The other Tangi is done but another is on the way.
So no water till these pots dry out.
SDH is going strong and will be a beast by the time the others catch up to it.

I think I got twisted and screwed up and the whole thing went sideways bout the time wifey got sick and then went to hospital.
We were both having dificultys at the same time and I guess I lost it.
All good now, wifey better and so am I.
Now if the cats get sick, I'm done 🦃🤣🤣🤣!

Here's my progress and hoping the runtz (under sized but looks healthy) will show improvement
and the AHLJ with the yellow leaves will get greener and better.
If not the seeds will be poppin' (solo's are all WT and 1 more on the way, I'll pick the 2 best ones)

Glad you and wife are feeling better.
The beauty of photos is they allow you to make up and correct things.
I bet you pull them back into great shape in just a little time.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Hey,if memory serves me right you are in Sunshine Mix #4 ...right?? ...I was out today getting some clay balls ( hydroton ) I use rather than the plastic bases. I get much better root growth with the balls over my domes. Anyways the place I went to had a lot of bales of Sunshine mix so when I got home I wanted to see the difference between The S Mix and My VPW30 so Google my friend I asked and this is what I got.

ABS Greenworld VPW30

  • Composition: Primarily 70% Canadian sphagnum peat moss, 25% coarse perlite, and 5% coarse vermiculite.
  • Aeration/Drainage: Designed with a specific 30% perlite and added vermiculite to offer balanced aeration and moisture retention.
  • Nutrient Content: It is a professional growing medium, generally considered a "blank slate" with a very light or no initial nutrient charge, requiring growers to start their feeding program early.
  • Growing Style: Best suited for a "soilless" grow style, where the grower controls all nutrient inputs through a bottled or specific feeding schedule.

Sunshine Mix #4

  • Composition: The exact formulation can vary slightly by region (e.g., "Advanced" or "Aggregate Plus" versions), but core ingredients include Canadian Sphagnum peat moss, perlite, coir (coconut fiber), dolomite lime to adjust pH, a wetting agent, and often added mycorrhizae. It does not typically contain mineral soil or compost.
  • Aeration/Drainage: Known for having high air capacity and fast drainage due to its high aggregate content, making it ideal for plants that prefer more air porosity or where frequent watering/leaching is required.
  • Nutrient Content: Includes a starter nutrient charge, often enough to last the first couple of weeks (around 7-14 days) before a regular feeding program needs to commence. It often contains RESiLIENCE® (silicon-enriched additive).
  • Growing Style: Also a soilless medium, it is used similarly to Pro-Mix HP. Growers will need to introduce nutrients after the initial charge is used up, treating it as a soilless/hydroponic medium (monitoring pH and PPM/EC).

I always treated the them the same and still don't feed until I see I need to. That Smix#4 would be hot after a transplant and if you added any feed that maybe what happened, too much food all at once.

yes it's a bit different for sure.
Yep my soil mix was too hot for the transplant and then I doubled down and fed after 2 wks.
This soil seems tricky, when to add nutrients, even then, it don't seem to grow right.
So far all my new seedlings are doing kinda fine.
I say kinda because the WT should be farther along in growth than it is.
It started to stagnate so I had to feed it a light feed (half) it seemed to respond so waiting to see if I should feed again.
It's still in the solo cup.
(WT, 14 days old and looks like barely 1 week old). (WT and TD 2 Days old)
I just put 2 more runtz/alhj seeds in water for poppin' as the two that are in soil are not growing!!
Might be a major lockout because their stagnet after 2 weeks in trans to gal. pots.
I am thinking root damage from the previous pots they were in.
The one SDH looks like it might be growing but will have to measure to be sure.
It's kinda short and squaty but looks pretty good overall.
It's the only one to survive the hot mix.
New soil, new hutrients learning curve all over again.

With the Worm castings,Gypsum,Mycos,Azomite in my veg mix It doesn't need much feed early but watering it won't flood my pots with added nutes either as I thought it did until this last search.

I'm using that search feature a lot lately.

I just bought a new/ refurbished win 11computer for movie streaming. I asked what specs I need into the search bar it answers with explanation then I type/copy paste that into Bestbuy or Amzone and walla. $189 + taxes and a new 27" monitor for our bedroom $99 or $119 can't remember. Looked at so many options. Today my wife wants a win 11 laptop shes looking around $300 taxes in. fairs fair I suppose. I get the old win 10 down here and mothball the one I'm on now.

I just finished my last bag of SSM#4 in my current grow.

I don’t recall it having any nutrients, just the dolomite. But mine was the older blue bags. Not the black bags I’ve seen in pics.

Hey,knock on wood but, I don't do enough looking around on the web to pick up bugs I guess.I just use the addons I can get for Firefox and windows ( whatever version) to give me virus protection. I have bought anti virus programs and run them through my computers to find nothing, Some adware but they've been removed as far as I know by the program, Zen would know better than I. I then uninstall the protection because it slows my old computers down so much.

We keep our computers separate 1 for banking, 1 for movies and this old one of mine for this stuff and pics. None cost over $200 until my wife's laptop last night at $319.....and you gotta remember these are Cdn dollars take 1/2 off for Usa$.......I get an upgrade down here, by getting my TV computer...lol... and stack another one on the self for parts.

Kids, they break stuff at a record pace.
That's what happened to my first. They used to go to gaming sites that were loaded with spyware and viruses.
Second puter got highjacked but lucky I know a guy and after 6 hrs he got back control and only charged my $100.
Third just quit on my after a long run with windows 9
4th one I just upgraded to win 10 and this is my current which does the job so far with no problems.
Spectrum gives me free anti virus and other stuff to protect me and it's doing well so far.
It's always tempting for me to buy the newest one!

I just wanted a win 11 computer if they are not supporting win 10 any longer. I have an issue with my TV comp There is no brighten screen button in the controls or settings. I've googled and its a common problem.I've done all the solutions I could find to fix with no success so a new/refurbished has been on my mind since they stopped supporting win 10 I've had to fiddle with my TV's controls to brighten it up but its all washed out.

It arrived today, ordered Thursday night 2 day delivery is back. Now to set it all up will take me hrs.not today I have some transplanting to do. I bought a large 50lb bag of the large clay balls (hydroton) yesterday I'll have to wash and ph them first. Then transplant...work,work,work.....smoke a joint or 3 first....

Posting some pic's for reference, seeing how things progess.

Was doing some light excersize and bamm threw my back out, first time and man it's killer pain.
Gotta see a doc and see what he can do about it. I feel like Quasimoto, I can't stand upright.

Still waiting to see if anything I did is helping.
Fed the SDH and the little one, WT, n gave a very small amt of water to the new seedlings.
I measured the SDH at 8" so I can see if it's growing at all.
The other two (Runtz/ALHJ) are staying the same they don't want to grow up.
Got them 2 seeds in tp.

These 2 don't respond to anything, zombie plants. AHL left, White Truffle right.(4 wks old)

IMG_E6936.JPG
SDH was planted the same time in the same soil now @ 4 wks old. (that's the larger one in above pic)
IMG_E6941.JPG
The Seedlings - The larger one (WT) is 2 wks old, the 2 small ones are 3 days old.
IMG_E6935.JPGIMG_E6943.JPGIMG_E6945.JPG
I gave them a lil drink, WT got 1/1/1/1 + 1ml RR, the other 2 enough water to moisten them.
A whole new grow almost. They seem to be ok so far.
The Sun Daze Haze that survived the pot transfere I never did anything but a lil water.
I didn't want to mess with it as it did so much better than the others right from the start of the transfere.
It got it's first feed today at 2/2/2/2 + 1ml Rapid Root. (Next feed will be .5ml RR)
I did not add any epsom salts it didn't look like it needed any extra.
The other 2 seeds should pop tomorrow, then go in the solo's.
It's a cluster haha but what else is there to do this winter.

Dam almost forgot to post these pic's of the Cat Room 🐈‍⬛🤣
First one is the pantry I got fixed up for them.
I'ts got a rug on the floor, a heating pad in the box with baby blankets, oil heater to warm the "room" and a litter box.
It's about 63 in the day time and 53 at night. I put the govee temp thing in there to see.
The other pic is the heated water/food bowls for the other outside cat, Marbles.
Buddy (Tabby female) and Cow Kat (3-4 month Male) are the only ones to live in here righ now hahaha.

One of the biggest things that kills computers besides electrical issues is dust and pet hair. Desktop or laptop.

Try to keep all the fans and ports dust free and clear. If it’s a desktop and you’re comfortable opening the case use an attachment on the hose and vacuum around the heat sink and fans inside. I guarantee it will help keep it cooler and extend its life.

I do that about once a year with the vacuum but a few months ago
I used one of those compressed air cans, after using the vac, took the pc out to the porch
and I was amazed how much dust and hairs I missed using the air can.
Just make sure the wind is blowing the right way or you'll get a face full.

I don’t recommend the compressed air to people anymore. A few have used it in the wrong place and killed fans or jammed fluffs into the power supply.

If you’re careful it’s fine. I use my shop hand blower for the same thing. Just watch out for the cloud of dust. 🤣

If you’re good at disassembling and reassembling a laptop you can remove the keyboard and usually clean it up pretty good as well. The GPU and CPU fans eventually get clogged at least on the blades and shroud with dust/skin. I use old toothbrushes to clean that off when the time comes.

A couple of reference pic's of what's left of the previous startup's.
Last one standing is the Sun Daze Haze which looks very good to me after I feed it a 2/2/2/2 + 1ml rr Sunday 11/30
It grew an inch so it's responding and that's good.
The other 2, Runtz n AHLJ are done, finished and gone.
I got tired of looking at them doing nothing, no matter what I did.
When I looked at the roots they were short n looked very small at the ends with no new looking growth.
The WT that is 2 wks old is responding well and so are the other two newbies.
The seeds I stuck in the dirt last night are not showing up yet.
One had a small tail but the other had a nice one.
Progressing nicely

Got some deficiencies in the oldest of the seedlins a WT so gave it
some nutes a 2/2/2/2 + 1/2ml r + 1/2 ep a day ago when I first noticed the problem.
That seemed to work also gave the other 2 a ltl bit of that nute mix as a preventive measure, I hope.
The charge in the SSM #4 is used up rather quickly, maybe a week,
I got the other seeds in dirt and they are growing nicely for 4 days growth.
The survivore, SDH is doing great after an initial feed.
I will up the mix to 4/4/4/4 cut or r and ep. This plant is 5 weeks old but
living off the over charged soil mix for quite a time which makes it hard to know
when to feed.

Hey, after comparing our 2 soils with Ai it stated there was a starter charge in the SSM#4, that maybe a bit hot for seedlings but once out of the solo cups it should be fine. I never noticed it when I used the sunshine mix but its been a while.
I was out getting Peanuts for Crows and Bluejays we feed through the winter at a Needs and Feeds store and they had my VPW30 on sale $18.99 a bag normally $28.99 so I bought 2 bags, I'm set through till next winter now. I only use about1/2 bag/ grow, I'll need more perlite though.

I've always bought the large bags about $50 each. When I was out last week buying some of the clay balls I use instead of the dome bases the store had large perlite chunks, far bigger than I've ever used but less dust as well with it, they were all the size of moth balls with no small stuff, I'm not sure how well it will work but the next time I need more perlite I'm going to try it.

I use the sunshine 4 alot and i dont feed seedlings till about week 4 but i do add earthworm castings maybe that helps with the nitrogen. I also picked up 2 bags of vpw30 at 18.99 already used it started 8 auto Bruce Banner.

I put my seeds in the final pot right off the bat so have no experience with using sunshine 4 in starter cups no up potting for me one and done.

I don't know how you can do that, small plants in large pots makes watering properly difficult. I guess like everything experience has its benefits. I feed the pot not the plant in soil until they hit the AP's.

I used the Google Ai feature and compared VPW30 - Sunshine Mix #4. They are comparable but there's no starter charge in the VPW30. I always treated them the same and I thought the VPW had a charge in it as well ( I don't read the fine print very often).

I have some leaf problems now from not giving them a regular dose of Epsom salts, I kept forgetting to add and now I've a few leaf issues. They'll get better now that I'm on it but its always something.

I don’t think the older blue bushels of SSM#4 were charged. The newer black ones might be.

I just asked to compare Greenworld VPW30 to Sunshine Mix #4 for growing cannabis

Both
Greenworld VPW30 and Sunshine Mix #4 are effective peat-based growing media for cannabis, with the main difference being the perlite concentration and the need for nutrient supplementation.

  • Greenworld VPW30 comes pre-mixed with a higher perlite content (around 30%), offering excellent drainage and aeration, and is often a more budget-friendly option.
  • Sunshine Mix #4 is an OMRI-listed (Organic Materials Review Institute) mix that includes beneficial mycorrhizae, which helps with nutrient uptake and root health. Its perlite content is typically lower (around 17-20%).
Both mixes are primarily composed of Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss and perlite, designed for high aeration and excellent drainage. They are considered "inert" or soilless media, meaning you have full control over the nutrient schedule from early on in the plant's life cycle.

I’ll have to see if the last bales wrapper is still in the garage. Pretty sure it didn’t but you know how old stoners memory goes. 🤣

These are not the compressed bales, they are lose pack with some chunks 80L/2.8cu/ft. I used to get the solid 3.2cu/ft bales around $35. These bags are easier to handle, those old bales were supposed to be like 50lbs but left outside in their yards they turned to 100lbs after a few rains.

Second opinion
I believe these spots are a bug, mites?
or thripes I have to check with a mag glass as I cannot see.
None of the other plants have them.
gtg eat, here's a pic

Better pic but nope, no bugs, that I can see with the loup.
From problem leaf pic's, it's a early Calcium def., Guess I will feed a 2/2/2/2 + 1/2ml r + 1/2 tsp es

I don't think they are bugs from what I see. I get funky spots and deformed leaves early a lot of times. I think its just a temperamental/ finicky plant., doesn't like the ph or soil or air pressure/humidity but will eventually adjust

Ah, that’s it then. Mine are compressed. Good to know if it comes up again. Carry on.

I re-potted them today.
All but the 2 seedlings (Runtz/AHLJ)
The root look skimpy but pretty good in length.
I put the 2 WT's in one pot, from there it will go into the XXL AP.
They look ok so far, now if I can just keep my hands off them. haha
I'll have to get a note book to keep track of all of them, with dif start/feed times an all.

Took the pic from the cam down there, to lazy to go down there again lol.

Let's see now:
Runtz @ 1 wk old
AHLJ @ 1 wk old
White Truffles x2 @ 2 wks old
Tangi Dream @ 2 wks old
Sun Daze Haze @ 6 wks old
That's close enough, so I check on the pots this morning and lift each one to see how light.
SDH was light again after a minimimal watering with plain PH'ed (was at 7.5 ph'ed it down to 6.5) water.
As I see the high N in this plant. When I checked the run off it was 2300 so just plain water till that calms down.
Now after only a few days it's dry again. I watered again because it does not look like it needs any more nutes added.
Next time I will add a 4/4/4/, (Micro/Grow/Bloom) to give it some fresh nutes.
This plant is very very green and lush and bushy as heck, the only plant to survive my soil mix.

Only problem I see is the one WT with some yellowing bottom leaves.
The other WT is responding well. In fact all the plants are doing ok except that one.
I hope it don't stunt again but I do not see any growth with that one.

Tangi Dream doing much better now

Being careful I don't water till the pots are dry enough, keeping track of it.
SDH is drying out fast, 2 or 3 days, the roots must be big.

I would pull the yellow leaves and the ones next to them/ the whole cluster of 3 blades if they touch the soil.
You don't want your leaves resting on the soil.
They all look to be doing much better.

Progress :)
I let the pots get bone dry before watering with PH water, cause my PH lvl for tap is 7.5 give or take 2.
Still no nutes going in it. The big SDH is doing much better, the dark green leaves are finally fading to a more normal green.
The plants in the solo's (Runtz/SHLJ) are getting along fine and so is Tangi Dream in the gal. pot.
White Truffle plants are doing well except for the one that had yellow leaves is not doing much of anything. Stalled again.
Still a nice color green and no yellowing or burning just sitting there, not growing or developing. The other WT has over taken it.

I raised the light over SDH from 13" to 16" and increased it to 50%.
Lux reads are about 36k over SDH - 27k over TD/WT's - 19% over Runtz/AHLJ in the solo's.
I got a note book to keep track of everything cause it's a cluster f in my head.
I'm thinking of transplanting the SDH to the AP pot to be done with it and maybe TD and WT's too.
Maybe I'll wait another week and do them all in the AP's. idk
But so far so good.
IMG_6978.PNG I think the numbers look ok.

Stripped the SDH today, it was to thick with too many fan leaves.
She was bone dry again. That was fast so I'm gonna transfere to AP's tomorrow.
Also fed her a 3/3/3/3 (Micro, Grow, Bloom, Mag ) with no ES, the leaves are still so dark.
Topped TD and the larger WT, also topped SDH again.
They are taking off and doing well, it's nice to see some growth.
Just remembered to order some clay balls, should be here tomorrow, it says.

Been going to a chiropracter for a few weeks now. 3 times a wk and it has helped my back problems immensely.
Insurence does not cover tho yipees!! So I gotta whip out a credit card to pay for 20 hands on and 20 visits to the decompresion machine.
But it worked so good I don't care too much. I feel like I did before I hurt it and actually much better.
Ah It's only $, my quality of life is more important to me.
I feel so much better but now I'm more careful to not go beyond my limitations.
Wifey now going with me as her car ins is going to cover it.
We go together so it's great to have her with me!

Transplant day and my clayballs have not arrived,
I used what I had left and got the 2 WT's into the XXL AP pot and the SDH into a lg AP.
WOW the roots on the SDH but I figured that.
The others had a fair root system going.
The TD is getting done tomorrow when I get re supplied with clay balls.
Could not find the big bags of balls, like PipeCarver has. Guess only Canada has it.
Also did the Runtz and AHLJ into gallon pots for a couple of weeks then they get to fo into the AP's too.
Week after that the Auto Pot System gets turned on, if all goes well. haha
Man that XXL pot is huge!! Should be interesting to watch how the WT's perform.

I got my last bag at a grow shop but I've been getting them at Halifax Grain & Seed an urban grow store more inline with Vegetable gardening than weed but they have some hydroponic stuff as well.

Forgot this pic of the Sun Daze Haze Roots omg!
I probably should have broken them up a bit before popping them in the new pot.
