MO Meetup

I may not be able to make a late summer trip this year, but I will probably be in St. L. in late October for the American Society of Agronomy meetings. If you live in the area, maybe we can do dinner one night.
 
Ha ha yeah that’s what it says…but you can see where I am.zoom in on tas and look at coles bay on east coast..you will see wine glass bay in my pic…this is the sunny side through winter..the west coast is the opposite.I could actually show you my house lol but better not 😄

I used to make fresh butter and cottage cheese, but back then I had cows. Now I get mine from the Amish. I do make apple butter, remind me when I post that’s what I’m doing and I’ll send ya some. That will be in mid August. 🥰

I love going to the Amish stores. when i was a kid we used to go to a amish restaurant and it was like a home setting. they would bring a big bowl of potatoes, beans etc. it was great.

Friday August 18, 19, leaving on the 20th there are 4 cabins available at $125/night + $30 for cleaning. So both nights are $280 total.

There are also "glamping" spots - i guess glamour camping with AC and stuff.

This is a bit more expensive than I was hoping for. I'm afraid it will limit who comes. But what say you?

This sounds like a blast but can’t make it that weekend. Blessing of the fleet takes place August 19th on the Mississippi and is a new tradition of ours now that we have the boat.


If the locals are ever in the Grafton area be sure to reach out and stop by for a smoke and maybe a boat ride 😎
 
Well, this seems to not have the legs I was hoping for.

It's hard to get everyone on the same schedule, and the cost kinda creeped up there.

I'll look for another alternative.
 
Round springs campground is pretty nice. I think they had real toilets at least lol. Right on the Current River. Large group camp areas too.

The high school my daughter went to, its still on the school records that there has to be a hitching post and water supplied for your horse

Our Walmart does too... big Amish and Mennonite communities here. We have a nice little Amish store close by.
