Regular or feminized seeds What do you use and why

I have been using feminized seeds now for a few years if you use regular seeds do you think there's an advantage Or I guess I'd like to know why do you use them I've had some of my friends tell me you can get better seeds more flavor better aroma that you can't get from feminized seeds Well I don't know if they're nuts or not so I thought I'd ask the professionals Also I have a question if you use regular seeds and send them someplace to have them checked for male or female what company do you use and how much does it cost per plant I want to thank all the great people for helping me out over the years I don't post much but I read a lot and this this place has helped me immensely over the years Thank you and have a good day

Each has an advantage and disadvantage IMO.
For the most part, your friend is correct. There's a consistency that comes with fem that does not come in regular but you're more prone to find an elite pheno in regular than you ever would a fem.
Fem increases chances of getting hermies but just because it's regular does not mean you're in the clear, just very unlikely.
When buying fem seeds, I look for seeds made using STS spray. If the person making the seeds used collodial silver, the rate of hermie increases a lot and makes it more likely to happen than not in many strains.

I'm not sure if anybody does testing on seeds to determine sex but places like Farmer Freeman test plant leaves and can tell you the sex. I've never done that but it's available.

Sexing and culling males is quite ez and it's very ez to prevent pollination since males open several days before females show pistils.
There's about a 5-10 day period of sexing with males and females in the same space with no worry of pollination as long as you're inspecting often and culling males at first sight. Males always show first, as early as 3 days after flip and females show later at around 10-14 days.
If you want to get into growing regulars you'll find the help you need here to make sure you dont end up with seeds unless of course you want them!
