Pretty much what I'm getting ready forcheck with kawi!! he's using them right now.
2025 new year grow
Getting fabric ready to transplant to 5gal. 1 auto strawberry cheesecake, 2 photo banana jealousy and peyote forum. Also will be a few purple ghost candy clones... ;pass ;roll;fafobudbuilders.org
I have 12 of these:Who's running them? How do you like them?....![]()
They are a bit pricey but with some DIY engineering, you can make your own at a fraction of the cost. It's a basic wicking system where the fabric pots sit on top of the wicks. The fabric pots then draw in the moisture from the wicks. I've never had these give me "over-watering" symptoms in my outdoor grows. They also seemed to draw nutrients up through the wicking system so other than the initial cost, I'd recommend them ... I'd also consider DIY using an oil basin from autozone, a plastic plant elevator and some wicking rope. You'll make your own at about half the cost.I see ACI has 2 sizes I've never used any before back before my back didn't hurt.
So there's that...
Interesting...I was wondering about standing water....Do tell us some more about the air stones setup. Pics? Size, ect... if you don't mind good sirI use the AC Infin wick bases with good results. I use them with soil grows mostly...but I've used them for a diy top drip with everything under the sun. Perlite, hydroton, coco, and anything else I have handy. I have airstones in mine and feed through them with Jacks 321 from my hydro res.
What are you doing for the PH, in regards to stability?I use Autopots, not the same but self watering and I love them. I use air stones and home made domes
I've been reading your grow, they work pretty goodI use them and my only concern is being so dry up top. I have 4 vivosun 1.3gal and 4 ac infinity 2.3gal.
I noticed plants didn't seem to stretch as much and I use a lot less nutes ot watering to drain. They are very helpful for vacation time.
Do you have a little pump for each plant? Here's my diy top drip using the bases...just a cheap pump on a timer through a ring on the soil.View attachment 92692View attachment 92693
Yea I caught that but let my mind wander.Belive he said hydro res to pump to the top
Yea I caught that but let my mind wander.
Sometimes its good sometimes it is stoned~!
Maybe he syphons from res and he just sticks the tubes in the base when not in use.
Maybe I just invented something there with a small fountain pump on a timer like Recycling DTW?
I looked into diy and could have but I'm lazy and I just built may staircase, so kinda over that right now.I built my own and I’m running them for the first time. I’m sold, I spend so much less time in the tent hand watering, and it keeps the environment more stable only going in every other day or so. I switched to the Crop Salt line and it holds ph so well I only have to check the ph once!

Yes...cheap little pump in each base just pumps it up to drain back.Do you have a little pump for each plant?
It looks like you are pumping top drip from the base correct?
I like that.![]()
No...I use the water/feed from a hydro res to top off bases. Then it just pumps from the base to the top and drips back through.Belive he said hydro res to pump to the top
Really? So it just feeds runoff back?Yes...cheap little pump in each base just pumps it up to drain back.
Gotta it...sorry I'm a ...well and..a..stonededNo...I use the water/feed from a hydro res to top off bases. Then it just pumps from the base to the top and drips back through.
