I don’t know Jack about setting up generators with solar power other than it would be nice to have. Otherwise I’d have offered a suggestion.

Regardless I’m still not sure what turned this thread toxic.

Sorry you feel so negative about this. You try an electrical site/forum? Might be a better place for that type of support.

seriously, fuck off.
Hey buddy. We don't like these kinds of posts here. On the verge of violating the "Trolling/Flaming" rule in our Terms of Service.

I want to extend to you a simple warning. Leave that shit for another time and place. We pride ourselves on our positive vibes and if you can't conform to that, you will be issued a ban. We don't like banning people and have only exercised that right twice.

Play nice and keep the defamatory content off the boards or be banned. It's a pretty easy call and it's all yours.

Back to original topic. Not solar but I am looking at a quote for a home standby generator. Just got a quote for the generator. $7,700 to my door. Now looking for an authorized generac installer. It’s a 24kw generac. Generac is offering a 7 year warranty if purchased by November 3rd. I also looked at Kohler and prefer them if the had the same warranty. Theirs is 5 year. Normally generac is too, but they are offering that 2 year extension for 7 years at no extra cost. Anyway pretty sure I’m pulling the trigger on this.

glad @Rootsruler didn't get sucked into that. way to be a man about it dude!

now back to the good solar talk!!!!

hell i'm still back on the first page where Moe says he was on an off grid farm and left it for a place in an HOA??? 😮

After reading his post my A-hole detector went off and when it goes off it doesn't allow me to answer because I'll return that answer in the same A-hole fashion. My answering back like that is not pretty so best I just don't answer. I guess the best response I can give is to roll one up, smoke it and chill.

When I was in the southeast we had a Generac natural gas powered generator. IIRC, turnkey, the system came out to close to $10k so $7,700 is a good deal.

In the time I had it and had to maintain it I can wholeheartedly recommend them. No issues and maintenance was easy.

Wow, and I even went back to see what I missed. I still didn't find it so I don't know what set him off.

Anyway, a 24KW generator would be quite large. More than capable of running the whole house and grow room here. Mine is half that - 12000 watts and it powers all essentials without a hiccup.

4000 sq ft here with a lot of shit to power, lol

I was in the middle of my response when he came with that last haymaker.. bye bud.
I'm a new guy around here and don't think I could have exercised as much patience as you guys. I'm sorry you had to address it, but glad you did what I believe was necessary. This is a happy place for a lot of people.

This is a thing in my city today:unsure:
