Back in 2004 after finishing an eco-challenge I could barely walk when it was over.
I went to the dr and found that I had something called Avascular Necrosis. The bones in
my upper leg (femurs) were dying from the top down due to no circulation.

At any rate, it's very painful until they cut the tops of the femurs off and replace them with titanium trailer hitch looking devices.

I ate my way through big pharma, every form and dosage of hydrocodone and fentanyl. The pain was unquenchable even with a handful of norco 11/325 and a fentanyl patch. That's fucked up pain. Anyway, I don't know the solution to helping someone like me that wasn't terminal, but I honestly think opioids need to be restricted to very short duration (a couple days) or terminal cases (as needed). But not used as long term therapy. They stop working and become addictive and it's horrible getting off them.

I'll try every form of weed short of boofing the stem if it'll help pain before I'll try the medical field.

If all you have is a Hammer everything starts to look like a nail.

Becoming a doctor seems to do something strange to humans where they become too confident in their knowledge.

Opioids can help with excruciating pain but if a system hands that stuff to people with sprained ankles that seems like a dangerous path. Even more so when people don’t feel good about much in their lives and then you hand them a pill that makes all the pain go away. Who wouldn’t want more of those?
