Who has and uses an electric bowl trimmer?

Reading the reports from you guys is less than encouraqging, I'd already pulled the trigger and ordered a bowl trimmer...then a bro brought these to my attention?

On the surface its just a another trimmer but if you scratch below the surface there's a feature that's used in the trimmers costing many hundreds of dollars.
I've cancelled my 1st order and ordered one of these I'll keep you updated.

They work if you are just removing dry bud from branches, no real big advantage otherwise besides cheap.

On the printer as I type this.

I usually strip by hand. Hold the branch with a firm grasp between thumb and index then pull the branch with the other hand to strip the buds off. This piece replaces my thumb and index finger in that process

Again my opinion however when dried and cured properly trim tools are barely needed. Everything gets sealed up and burped after a little finger fuck and a snip once in a while to cure.

The cure is all about pulling the last moisture from the inside to the outside??

We rarely have a huge harvest with the plant limit here but I can see how this could help on bushy ladies or large outdoor plants.

you can stick it wherever you want!!! ;rfl

nah seriously though a couple small holes through the rim of the trim bin and a couple screws it could be mounted right on the inside edge.

printing with a cubic infill gives the most strength and also the best for holding threads of screws.

True. I was thinking removable as the bin is already big and bulky to store.

Going to see if I can find any vids to see how much mess and room it needs to work comfortably. We tend to sit in the tv room while trimming. A little mess is acceptable.

Like this idea better than the turkey or bbq brush.

i'm sure you could make up a bracket for it to slide on and off...

mmmm... i was planning on using it outside maybe.. but i was planning on using for dry bucking.. wet might not be as messy if you go slow.

I've been meaning to make that thing for a long time and this thread reminded me of it.
It's intended to be handheld due to the way I hang dry and destem after drying....

This would be a typical hang dry for me

When the flowers can snap off the large branches it's time to buck them up and send to cure.
I cut off the main colas and try to preserve them as best as possible.
Once the colas are off I strip the branch and let the buds fall into a bin. I have a trim bin but I prefer these large pans I use for BBQ + I buy these in bulk at like 40 at a time so I always have a fresh clean one to use with weed stuffs

Just basically hold the dry branch over the bin, match the size of branch to the slot in the bucker, and pull the branch thru bucker.
All the buds and any trichs that fall off will all fall into the bin and the branch will be stripped bare.
I have a harvest coming soon and will try to get a video

Spot on. I intend it to be used for dry bucking.
Wet, I might line the backside of the bucker with parchment paper so it don't strip resin off the buds and get all sticky

haha i must be a stoner too because i never even caught that!!!! but it's okay i messed up the color changeout and went a layer to early so i need to make a new one anyway. saw you fixed it already!! ;thup
 
My mate has one of these bolted to the side of his bench..he does it green then puts it in a hanging screen to dry then into the trimmer.gee it knocks his weed about as is evident looking at his trimmer.he just has soo much weed and no time to do it properly.

This is where I see bowl trimmers and such being useful.
So much weed and no time to properly do it.
I've been thinking about one myself honestly, I always end up trimming half a crop and then just jar the rest and trim it as I smoke.
Im so lazy when it comes time to trim
 
I think he needs a better one too.his has rubber fingers .i tell ya …they are expensive down here.

takes me bloody ages to wet trim trim a couple p..i stagger harvest them now so I don’t have to do it all at once..some plants take an hr or 2 .and even 3 when they have 6-7 oz…

I think they're expensive too, for what they are.
They're over 100 bucks here, average of like 120

its Highway robbery lol.even if I got one from the states it would cost an arm just to get it here..

I bought a manual trimmer. I think for the able body home grower cropping out 5lb- it’s not worth it. Wet trim not for me, and dry brush into the trim bin always gives a supply of keif. I stress able body, at some point we all look for easier ways to take a load off.

Yep!
Those BBQ pans really do a good job catching and containing everything.
From there I sort thru everything picking all those ugly leaves out then prioritize the buds from nice nugs and tiny bits/larf, separating those.
The good looking nugs go into a Grove and the other stuff does as well but it's designated for extractions then when the bin is empty just kinda shake it around, like panning for gold, so all the kief and tiny bits gets collected in a corner and it too gets dumped in the extraction bag.
