We have GG#4 Josey Wales Cut and Sherbanger #22.

Had these waiting for the last harvest to end. Sent by G$ from a guy named Ash he found on a Discord server that had just moved to Canada.

They have been in low light getting nothing but water and occasional Fox Farm Grow Big 6:4:4.

The soil was made up yesterday evening and they were transplanted by dinner time.









The remaining red cups will be given away or tossed.

I expect to up pot one more time in March before a two week rest then flip. Going for shorter plants this round.

20260219: GG#4 & SB#22


They seem to be doing fine after the transplant. Color is good as is the newer growth.

Not much to see but each pot had the following added at transplant.

• Biochar: 3 tsp root area
• Gypsum: 2 tsp
• Worm castings: 6 tbsp
• Azomite: 1.5 tsp
• Dolomite lime: 1 tsp
• Mykos: dusted root area
• Azos: 1/2 tsp root area
• Gaia 4:4:4: 1.5 tsp
• Gaia 2:8:4: ½ tsp

1.5 - 2 litres water was used to water it all in. Then left to sit in a sink of water about a third up the pot for a while before moving into the tent. This is to make sure everything settles and gets rid of any air pockets or dry spots. I add soil to the top of it sinks or holes open up.

Winter harvest is doing good after three or four days hanging. Temperature ranges from 19* to 25* with humidity going between 40% to 60%.

20260223: GG#4 & SB#22

Things are taking root, literally. They need trimming or LST as they are starting to stretch under the new light. Bumped the light from 4 to 6 as well.

The GGB#4 & GM I left in red cups to give away needed to be transplanted. They are hungry and need more light.

First watering since the transplant so I’ll be looking for any issues or deficiencies this week. The soils still very loose and moves when watered. The wand was great for this, really wish it hadn’t died.

20260225: GG#4 & SB#22

The clones had been getting Fox Farm Grow Big in red cups for the last 11.5 weeks or so. (6:4:4) And nothing else but water.

Switching to dry nutrients after the transplants has them looking lime color and some yellow leaves I removed.

Temperatures in the tent have been 17* to 27* with 25* being normal lights on temp. RH has been 40% to 60% with 50% being typical at lights on.

They’ve only need watering once after the soaking at transplant. I’ll be adding epsom next watering to try and correct the lime color.

I’m planning to make a worm castings tea this week once I see the plants are about ready for another watering. A bit will be used as a foliar spray.

I had bumped the light from 4 to 6 the other day which probably added to the lime color but it did stop the stretching.

Updated: Just cleaned them up a little. Trimmed off the crazy re-veg growth and lower crud. Now I’ll wait until they need watering/tea.

All the roots are poking through a week after transplant.

A lot of people just seem to be tired all the time, including us. Going to bed much earlier but still getting up before 5am. Never seem to get that fully rested feeling. Lots of stress. Looking forward to spring and getting out more.

i hear ya man, march always brings the blues.. hope you can get in some nap time here and there... we know for a fact Willow would be down for that!!! hehe

February is the worst for me. March can sometimes bring an early thaw or at least a few spring days. I think Mother Nature isn’t done yet this year. Looking forward to Saturday and double digits!

20260305: GG#4 JW & Sherbanger #22

They haven’t been happy since transplanting. Roots seem fine and poking out all over but the leaves are all over the place and multi coloured. Little lime. Little yellow. Little burnt. Argh

I might have screwed up the dry nutrients when making the soil for transplant? IDK.

I watered with a TBSP per 7.5L of epsom. Later I gave them all 500ml of water with 0:50:30 added at G$ suggestion. He thinks it a PK issue.

Really hoping to do even better with the Sherbanger #22 this go round.

A sliver of hash and a bit of butter I scraped off the press. Had me flying for a while.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been following along (short attention span).
Is it possible to flush and add back a half feeding rich in mag, cal and iron?

It looks to me like it’s having a difficult time making chlorophyll, but not due to lack of available N, just can’t take advantage of it. I had one plant do that to me recently, but was never able to correct it fully, on a positive note, still had potent bud, just not a ton of it.

second thought also has me wondering is that possibly PH related at the root layer?

They look like they want more N to me. Soil with amendments in small pots is very doable, but they need a little boost with liquids to really thrive. Last year or so Ive been using this Udder Magic stuff from Lowes for organic immediately available N. Its just whey ferment and 6 1 2 NPK. But I admittedly dont mix amendments and salts. Instead I rely on various ferments like the Udder Magic to get that extra NPK as needed. Hope this helps!

I thought it was lack of N and not adding any epsom.

But I watered with a bit of epsom that day or the day prior to the pic.

G$ said the leaf burn and purple stems pointed towards PK.

I checked the plants last night and I’m back to thinking N & epsom. They are real pale lime now.

These were in red cups getting only low light, water, and a little 6:4:4 for 80 days prior to the transplant.

I’m thinking the same lines. But I have a bunch of stuff already I can use. (See post above.)

I’m trying to switch over to dry nutes after using liquid for a few years. I did well with it outdoors in pots but inside I’m just a little off. Feeding to lightly I think. Want to get to KNF down the road. Already making different things following Stonemasons posts.

Been busy making hash over the weekend. Started with sugar leaves from the last harvest and then tried old flower from past grows.

I pleasantly surprised with the results. I tumbled each group separately but the new stuff was a mix of two and then three strains. The older weed was my strain from Twin 2.












Son and I like to sit on the porch and smoke our wooden pipes but I’ll cheat once in a blue moon and use the metal pipe in the basement for samples. Now that it’s getting warmer and the benches are clear of snow I’m looking forward to smoking outside again.

I hoped to be up potting on the weekend but instead I’m chasing a deficiency.

The 0:50:30 doesn’t seem to have helped. So I watered them but added liquid nutes to try and fix this issue.

I always planned to use calmag and epsom if needed by watering. This time I added FFGB to it. Each plant got 1 litre.

Per 7.5 litres:
11ml Sensi Cal Mag Extra 4:0:0
35ml Fox Farm Grow Big 6:4:4
Total = 10:4:4

Water was left in the tray but I’ll remove any left in the morning before lights out.

I’m finding iron and magnesium to be the beginning to deficiencies in my recent organic efforts.
I think I’ve tried to feed only organic my last 3 grows but the deficiencies always showed up and caused my issues.

This grow, I started (apparently) with enough mag (or cal) and iron that the chlorophyll deficiency didn’t creep up.

my soil build had a lot of ammendments (in small amounts of each). Green Sand, Azomite, Langbenite, all the “meal” addatives etc. I could see it stressing the plant at irrigation time, but it also seems to have gotten past that early deficincy.

Whether I can repeat that success in another grow and whether or not a deficiency creeps up in these next 6 or 7 weeks remains to be seen. But I do believe that early mag and iron are the key.

So for high N organically, hydrolyzed fish emulsion(if smells not a concern) or Udder Magic is my tool of choice these days. I know some folks like to mix salts and organics, but I find it reallllly tough to find a good balance doing it that way. Vs focusing on amendments and using ferments for a liquid boost. Ive had good buddies that did very nice "syganics" as they call it now. But they usually did it in context of salts + teas, not so much amendments. Hope this helps!

Purple stems have me leaning on a pH issue as well. Something's causing a lockout.

I know a lot of people don't pH in their soil grows, but I get purple stems with all the plants in my mother system where I rarely check pH. When I do, it's crazy high.
