CannaGranny’s Corner a Thread For General BS and Good Will On BudBuilders

many moons ago when i worked in a kitchen they baked bacon on a bed of sliced bread, helped absorb the grease and also never stuck to the baking sheet. i would always stash a couple slices of that old bread for a lunch sandwich!!! :D
the bacon there was always perfect!!
We used to do that at the cottage or camping. Don’t remember doing it at home. 🤔

KFC used to be Scott’s Chicken Villa up here. The Colonel got pissed at US taxes so moved to Canada, just outside Toronto in Mississauga. Back then they used to serve Grecian bread. It was fresh bread sliced and had melted butter and chicken fat on it. It was crazy good. (If I had know what it was as a kid I probably wouldn’t have eaten it. 🤣)

been busy doing car shit yesterday and today.. sucks when shit doesn't want to come out. the hub was seized to the bracket, the axle fell apart once removed from the hub leaving the end housing of the cv joint in the transmission, even had to loosen transmission mount bolts and raise transmission one inch to remove one of the control arm bolts

it was a bitch, had to rent an axle puller tool because there is near zero access to get a fork in there (believe me we tried and tried using normal methods)..

what a day.. but the driver side is done. new control arm, new inner and outter tie rod, new wheel hub, new axle(cv joint), new sway stabilizer bar, new ball joint knuckle.. just hit 100k a few weeks ago and decided since i'm doing the axle, might as well replace everything while it's exposed

speaking of exposed...
the bad axle, boots ripped and exposed at both ends like a...
can't believe how she just fell out, leaving the inner housing attached to the transmission... glad i found the issue to the problem and it matched my diagnosis, and glad my friend was able to help me get it all done today

Hope everyone else had a great weekend, hopefully more relaxing than mine

I used to like doing that kinda shit. Still got all the tools for most anything mechanical on a car. Now I just take it to the shop and keep my hands clean and all skin on knuckles. Good job though. A lot of guys wouldn’t tackle a job like that.

I have to do this soon too. I just got the lovely sounds of someone grinding rocks as I backed out of a parking spot this afternoon. I knew it was coming

I'm getting to the point where I just want to pay someone but 120-175 an hour for labor is ridiculous imo

If you've got Friends who are handy you have good C(k)arma.

I got this week off.
Haven't had time off since this time last year beyond bad weather days.
Heading to the beach tomorrow to see brother and do sisters memorial on the weekend.
Might be last year of gathering at the cottage.

Sorry for the loss of your sister, I haven't been lurking as much to know if it's recent or not but i wanted to send condolences.

Working on cars is only fun for me when it's planned and at my pace. When it's something that has to be on the road, it's no bueno. We made the mistake of buying a Mini Cooper for one of our daughters. That POS has spent more time in "front end service mode" than it has on the road. It's one of the years that has the Peugot engines. It is the first car that I have truly hated. Definitely not a car you want to have your daughter driving while she's in college.

Sorry for your loss, man. Hope your time at the beach is spent sharing good memories. The sea air, sounds and sights can be healing. I enjoy surf fishing, but the whole environment makes me contemplative. It's weird how you can come home from the beach feeling tired and rejuvenated all at the same time.

It has been 3 years since she passed.
It is just how some people go that make it harder.
She took her life on the fourth anniversary of the loss of her son.
He took his life back in 2017.
I have talked about this before.
Don't wait to tell the people you love how much you love them.
Thanks everyone for the nice thoughts.🫶

That is brutal, sorry for the loss of your nephew as well. That's a tough pill to swallow with all that. Never an easy out for those who love them, tough thing to shoulder for the rest of life. Thinking of ya big boss, sending positive vibes. Certain dates man they just hit too hard. ☮️♥️

It's funny.. how when you get older, or maybe just wiser, you truly appreciate how lucky you are just to have a few good friends, true friends.

@steamroller I hope your trip and time with family can bring some additional healing

Happening here too. New to me.
Do they have Cannabis spice coffee or just pumpkin?

it was the COTNABIS SALE that had us giving the wtf face... i've heard or croptober before but never cotnabis sale or a "cold sale" as they have listed at the top...

those guys are pushing sales one after the other, i bet they're trying to get rid of all their stock while their new facility is just getting going. and something tells me all the new gear will be rushed out and promoted heavily with little to zero testing. hope they prove me wrong though!

Hey Guys!
In an attempt to get caught up, I owe some of you seeds for the POTM contest…please inbox me your addy!
I’m back on my feet, have regained 75% use of my arm and it’s getting better daily. I’m sure if I stick with the self induced pain and physical therapy I will recover it all!
I’m going into flower with the most horrible looking crop I may have had in my entire life. But, I’m making strides! For the first time in 12 years I have no reserve smoke, butttttt..I got roaches! Quart jars of em lol.
I have also been locked out of BB. For any of you trying to contact El..or @B2ACG he has been locked out as well.
Look out Bishes..Granny is back. I have missed you guys and some of ya, I even love! 😜
Thank you for the patience of you folks that I owe seeds to. I’ll be making that right this week!
