I'm growing one plant for the summer of 24
Well if you don't count the re-veg out in my yard.

This was the hardest nut I've ever cracked open.
I tried paper towel - 3 days later - nope
I went to my secondary method - soil
I used the same seed as I was not going to give up on her.
I also used Gibberellic Acid.
Followed the directions and put 2 spoons (sm spoon included in the package)
which is supposed to bring it up to 400 ppm in a 500ml bottle of purified water.
Nope!
So put in a few more, got it up to 227 ppm.
Put seed in soil and gave it a soak.
A few days later......Success! It germ'ed and pushed the seed up and out of the soil.
But wait, that's too easy. Looking closely after a few days went by and the helmet is still on her.
It was sealed and not coming off.

IMG_5664.JPGIMG_5663.JPGIMG_E5670.JPG
Emergency removal is required immediately.
Got my best tweezers and held on to the staulk with my other hand and crunched the shell.
With a little bit of pull, I finally got it off.
IMG_E5671.JPGIMG_5682.JPG
It's been one week since I put her in soil and this is where she's at now.
Except ......... For the Flies!!
I have no idea how they got in my sealed grow room??
But there they were, Lots of them!!
I sprayed but there were too many of them and it didn't kill on contact sooooo
I used my fly paper that I saved for thwerps or any other bug I used to have.
Must have got 50 and that doesn't include what I swept up off the floor and table!
It's like something died in there lol I still have no idea how they are getting in.
I finally put a screen over the exhaust incase they were coming in from the chimney, the intake already has a screen.
IMG_5682.JPGIMG_5683.JPG
I was using my 4 light T5 but one bulb went out and after not much growth from C99
Today I switched to my TS1000 (140w) @ 25% and 16" above.
That's where I'm at now with C99

I did try to start 3 Strawberry Banana seeds (unfem'ed)
but they would not germ. Gave up on them.

One good thing is the FP 2.0 Re-Veg is doing nicely outside
IMG_5669.JPG
I re-potted her into a 10g cloth pot.
IMG_5674.JPGIMG_5675.JPGIMG_5677.JPG
I am really happy with her growth and she looks good.
I wanted to put her into the ground but with the new fence going up, I might need to move her to keep from prying eyes đź‘€

Took a tour of the Niagara Gorge pathway today.
Got the Electric bike out and took off lol
Was beautiful out there.
They removed the thruway and made a nice walk/bike path and did a nice job of it.
This is the first time I've been there since they re-did it.
IMG_5688.JPGIMG_5689.JPGIMG_5695.JPGIMG_5698.JPGIMG_5699.JPGIMG_5700.JPGIMG_5704.JPGIMG_5706.JPG
The drop off is hundreds of feet and scary as hell to look down.
You can see Canada on the other side of the Niagara River and those towers and high risers are on the Canada side.
We have nothing on this side, other than a casino lol.
Far in the distance is the Falls and the Rainbow Bridge. The other rusty bridge is supposedly where Tubman took slaves over to Canada.
But the story is highly suspect.
There are viewing areas all along the inside pathway that give a spectacular view of the gorge and river.
Going to the Falls next.

Got these Govee plugs @ GW
Still trying to figure out how to use them.
Something I got to change in my wlan settings on my phone
which I cannot find in phone settings.
View attachment 64965View attachment 64966

i use the Govee app on my phone for lighting. not for their smart plugs but i've used others. if you're still having issues, maybe i can help?

I use the govee thermometer/RH device so I can read temp and rh on my phone
but might find these plugs useful if they can be programed for something.
Maybe fans or lights in my house.
Everything goes good till I get to a part that says I need to go to settings and change my wlan to accept the device.
I would really like the one you have for lighting, that one sounds cool.
If I could run everything from my phone ahhhh would be good for my back.
This is as far as I get.....could not find WLAN

once the things are connected and working they can make life easier... until that point they can be frustrating. sometimes youre doing everything right and it just takes multiple times it seems... but no worries i think we can get you set up!!!

so what it is asking for is to connect your phone to the wifi signal that the unit is sending out.
once you're at that screen you want to go to "settings" on your phone...

009.JPG

once in settings then go to connections at the top of he list. in the connections screen select "wifi" at the top...

010.JPG

once in the wifi settings then look for Govee_plug_H5081_xxx (more numbers will be at the end when you see it) , select that wifi connection. and connect to it.

011.JPG

once you are connected to the govee and not your home wifi then go back to the Govee app and continue from there. it will probably ask you to select your home wifi within the govee app and also include the password. then it will probably ask you to go back to your settings page and connect to your home wifi and you should be golden!

so what you're doing in all that is just connecting to the govee unit with your phone and instructing the govee to remember and use your home wifi signal and password to connect. (it doesn't know your wifi info when ya buy it so we have to tell it) once it knows your info you will not have to do this again.

best of luck and let us know if it works!!!

I have an iphone 10 so kinda different.
I go to settings/wi-fi/Davlin(my network) and seen govee under it and check it to join.
It joins and when I go back to the govee app it's not there.
The button on the plug is kinda purple instead of blue.
IMG_5720.PNGIMG_5721.PNG

Still got them flies, put out more fly paper, must be close to 100 dead now
Plugged the exhaust with a filter so nothing can get in threw there.
Hey, the C99 is perking up a bit.
I think it's a week behind, but what's new, seems all my grows are a week or two behind.
She's bout 2-3 inches now but has another set of leaves growing.
I thing the TS1000 is what got her going.
She's about 10 days old.

sorry i shouldn't have assumed android, in my head i mentioned it first but forgot to type it. glad you found the connection though. sucks you couldn't get it working. let me ask.

once you were connected and you went back to this screen and selected "go to set" what did it say next?

42706-f78c8fc6014e363693aeb629138e7fa4.jpg

did it just time out and fail or did it give you a warning or anything?

Also the button stops blinking and has a red ring around the blue one.
Probably a fail notice.
Also I can check one network "govee" or the other one "davlin".
When I go back to govee home it says network error check it and try again.
And the Blue light continues to blink slowly until it starts to blink fast again then the red/blue and stops

What is your router setup for 2.4 or 5g wifi ? If its 5 wont hook up will only work with 2.4g wifi

The new govee plugs will hook up with either wifi or bluetooth. Blue tooth is more stable and faster than wifi

Spectrum has both but I believe the default is 2.4
I have govee temp/rh monitors that work good with no problems.
Also 2 cams that only work with 2.4 and they are working perfect.
Maybe the nw will only allow so many.

Brought them used at a thrift store I don't think they are Bluetooth capable.
Govee
Smart Wi-Fi Plug
Model H5081
It's plugged in but I have nothing plugged into the govee if that matters.
The setup for use looks complicated as heck.
I just found out I have to go to the "home" page not the "Device" page.
I'll prob figure it out in time.
I def would like to get some devices that I can use on my iphone to control lights, fans at least.
My SF controller 6" fan and 4" fan are pretty good but my Gro buds and Vivosun fans are shit.
They broke after the first year. One stopped turning and the other won't occilate.
$90 down the tubes.
I figured the govee plugs might be good as I turn some fans off at lights out time.
I got to cool my jets money wise this property I brought has a lot of hidden cost they don't tell you about.
I am usually good at figuring things out it's just that I take the long way around :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.

i looked at the manual and it says to hold the button down for three seconds until the blue light is blinking. this puts it in pairing mode.

it being used it why it didn't automatically go into that mode.

so try holding down the button for three seconds or until the blue light blinks. once it's blinking then try to go to your wifi settings and join the Govee signal then back out to the setup screen again and select the "go to set" button

.
.
p.s. here is a link to the book that would normally come with them new...

Yes I do that.......
I plug it in and the blue light starts blinking fast
I hold the button in and I hear a thunk sound and the light starts blinking slower.
then I get this screen on the govee app
IMG_5724.PNG
I fill in the network info then get the instuction screen to go to phone settings
In Settings I go to Wi-Fi / in Wi-Fi I see the govee plug on there and click it...... a circle spins and a blue check mark appears next to govee plug
Under the govee plus name this appears "no internet connection" in orange font.
I was getting and it appeared for a few seconds "unsecured connection"
IMG_5725.PNG
I think it has to do with my network
For some reason my office jet 5200 printer is on it's own network idk how that happened.
Then, this time the govee went under the Wi-Fi instead of under Davlin.
My Spectrum connection is MySpectrumWiFi28-2G with a dif password than my Davlin network has.
I tried it using the myspectrum but that didn't work either, maybe the plugs are junk, that would not surprize me

Checked on my plant after the rain storm we had.
Seen a spider on it ha
Don't like most spiders but Daddy long legs don't bother me.
Like a gaurd dog for bugs.
Anyway it looks good, waiting for the flowers.
IMG_5726.JPGIMG_5728.JPG

In the process of doing so much it makes my head spin.
Got to seal my blacktop driveway 24' x 31' Wed or Thur. Doing this job myself.
The Fence permit came in but waiting for the Surveyer to do his thing, hopefully in the next week or two.
Then the Fence Co. will be working for 3-4 days on it and I have to supervise.

The new C99 Plant is coming along, finally.
Flies are all dead and plant has 3 nodes going on 4.
So I will let it be till next Mon. It'll be 3 wks since germ'ing but I think it needs that extra wk.
I usually do a 2wk/2wk/final pot thing.
IMG_E5730.JPG
I have so much problems with seeds maybe that seed germ unit, that, I think, @moe.red has, would be helpful to me.
Not sure how to get one or if it's available.

The outside re-veg Fruity Pebbles 2.0 is doing good and will be upping the nute feed next feed time.

Life is so much simpler with out all those fancy gadgets. all that fine print and those tiny buttons to work with. I think to myself sometimes that I should get a cell phone then I read things like this, fk that my phone stays on the wall. Won't get hacked that way either so I won't have Bob down the street fking with my lights

Ya but when they work they're pretty awesome.
I save alot of time with my camera's and Temp/RG monitors.
I see who tf is on my porch or how my plant is doing without lifting a finger.
But they can be a mf to hook up. Some easy, some I would like to take a hammer to.
As one camera found out. hahaha it kept beeping and would not connect sooooo
after a fustrating week of trying and continuous beeping, it was hammer time!
But love my gadgets!
Latest thing I got is from Spider Farmer.
Glow30 Full Spectrum Supplemental LED Light Bars $58 n free shipping.
2024-Spider-Farmer-Glow30-Full-Spectrum-Supplemental-LED-Light-Bars_6e88ac66-8c13-4161-a8c0-2...jpeg48fecef2-935b-48d3-be3b-94fb349b46f3.8852799785ee2c614795e1bbcfdd1cc0.jpeg27eeb10e-95a8-4d70-b125-b391079ca8c4.a88c698248811b2f38886b4d523e6804.jpeg
I got them today and looking at the pic I not see how to use the velcro tape they included.
Shows on the left one, hanging from the ceiling with the hanger clips attached.
Nice, but really should not have but I'm an impulse type guy and did it anyway.
Sheese I gotta stop myself sometimes!

Summertime, I love it but have so much work to do.
Sealed my driveway myself, !st and last time I will do this haha
It was a lot of hard work to try and get it evenly distributed.
Before and After shots.
IMG_5733.JPGIMG_5735.JPGI'm happy with results but my whole body hurts.
Not perfect but I did it! Saved $ it cost me $200, if I farmed it out that would be at least $600.

Survey should be this week, fingers crossed.

Had a visitor this morning.
IMG_5742.JPGSky was not happy and chased till I took her inside, The lil varment would not move. Then read, put epsom salts around the garden to keep them (Groundhogs) away. I did that and it left soon after and don't think it will come around again any time soon.

The outside plant is doing great!! Man If it don't get stolen, it will be a good harvest.
FP 2.0 had alot of branches which mean alot of cola's. It almost looks clonesh.
Tore out the remains of the og part of the plant and took some clones off the bottom that were not gonna handle the flowers too good.
IMG_5747.JPGIMG_5748.JPGIMG_5749.JPG
I am growing one plant in the cellar room, Cinderella 99 C99
Not doing well imo, she has some hieght to her and 5 nodes but the leaf structure is suspect.
Leaves are showing something but I don't know what yet.
Moisture in the pot is not drying up as I think it should.
Have some green mossy stuff on top of the soil.
I put the oc fan pointing at the pot to try and dry that up a bit.
I also drilled more holes in the pot as, I seen, I picked one that didn't have enough.
Turned the light up to 50% now at 16" above.
Temp runs between 76-78 with RH at 65%
Nutes are at 500 ppm with PH 6.5 (Still using old nutes will change at final AP pot change).
Letting her dry out and not doing anything else to see what happens.
But this plant is structured way dif than the last C99 which I believe is seed mistake.

IMG_5746.JPGIMG_5740.JPGIMG_E5740.JPG
I can't feed until it dries up, nothing to do but wait.

This bean plant sprouted July 1st so over 3 weeks old!
It's 12" high now with bout 5-6 nodes but No branches and tri-leaves and
they don't look like any canabus leaves I've seen.
And stretching like crazy. If I didn't plant the seed from the sealed pack,
I would think this is also a mistake seed.
Had to adjust the light height 3 times, still at 16" but turned down the light intesity
from 45k lux to 29k lux. Maybe too much for the leafs to handle.
The pot is finally drying out, so that's good.
After it dries out good I will rinse out all the old nutes till clear water runs out.
And start using the new nutes (Athena). But looks like 2 or 3 wks till final pot, if ever.
IMG_E5751.JPG
Outside plant is doing spectacular just fed it 1000 PPM and she looks like I could raise to 1500 np.
Out of the 5-6 clones I took, One looks like it will make it so I will have a backup if this current plant is a stringbean or something :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Wk 3 + 1 day
The stringbean is growing like one, almost 2" a day.
Leaves are looking a bit more weedy but still 3 leaves on a short branch.
I repoted to gal size and it dried out enough to feed so I bottom fed it.
Let it sit in the nute water to let them roots get used to sucking it up.
3 wks and 18" tall and now she sits in a pan, on the cellar floor.
Nice thick staulk and it is looking somewhat healthier.
I have to adjust the light hieght daily. Intensity is bout 35% @ 36k lux.
Temp is 79 degrees with RH @ 61%
Feeding it with Athena now @ 1350 PPM, sounds high but after a couple of days the plant looks good.
I think I will wait a week or two then she goes into final AP pot and system.
I know one thing, this is not going to look anything like the other c99.
IMG_5783.JPGIMG_5785.JPG

The outside plant (Fruity Pebbles 2.0) is rockin' it!!
Just a beautiful plant.
I don't have to do a thing but put her in the GH if it rains.
And feed her every few days.
Last I fed her she took 1400 ppm
I am thinking of making a compost tea for her.
I guess just soak a cheese cloth full of compost in water for a few days?
It's in a 10 gal. cloth pot that is super heavy when fed and takes 4 gals of nute water to feed.

I'd top that tall one to let the side shoots develop. You've had that happen a couple times now, I wonder if being in your green house some how makes them stretch like that.

The stringbean hasn't been in the GH, but you're right, and I did top it.
Guess I was waiting till it got enough leaf to do that and then forgot to do it :ROFLMAO:
Thanks for the reminder. (y)
I'm letting it bottom feed for a week then it goes into the final AP system.

As for the bush outside I'm ethier going to top or bend them branches pretty soon.
Don't want it to get out of control, the lower the better.

Rode my electric bike yesterday to the Falls and the upper Niagara River Rapids.
Was and nice ride and put the bike to the test of about a 14 miles pushing it to see how the battery does.
Didn't faze it seem'd like it would be good for 3x that.
Fell once when the pedal assist kicked in around a corner lol
Gotta turn it off or don't pedal around corners.
The Mighty Niagara Rapids about a 1/4 mi. from the falls. Was crowded so didn't venture that way on the bike.
IMG_5803.JPG
These are the power intakes that generate electricity but not for us in Niagara Falls they give all that power to New York City and we get it from a PA coal fired source.

Grand Island Bridges in the BG, I used to fish by them and climb on the girders to the second pier to swim hahaha crazy!
I grew up around there, back then, we fished alot along that shore.

Lucky you didn't kill yourself in that river, as a kid....shit I'm glad I didn't grow up there I did some crazy shit, water like that would have been exciting when I was in my teens, lol reckless excitement = dead , then so sad no Pipecarver...lol

We would rent a row boat and row accross to Grand Island but if we didn't have the $4.00 we would ride our bikes accross to fish.
We didn't have 10 or 21 speeds back then nor did we have helmets! We were tough kids and survived.

How much peddling do you have to do on your bike? When you go uphills is there stress on your legs and......most importantly your knees? I can't put too much stress or pressure on my knees without them swelling up and aching for months afterwards. They can go round and round okay but climbing a hill is out there's no way my knees will take it if the power assist doesn't do ...ALL..... of the work and my legs just go round and round.
