Can’t sleep so i sometimes vape on the stoop before bed. Or in this case when stressing waiting for meter reader.
So at 3am Willow and I see mom rabbit chilling in the grass about 6’ away when willow breaks and gives a little chase, with me yelling at her to get back up here. After a few minutes she comes back, in her time. And I notice that a baby the size of a tennis ball is beside the light…trying to be invisible.
I put Willow in the house and sit with the little one a bit. It tries the sideways I’m dead thing a minute but the rains started and he gives it up and just watches me watch it. Then after a few minutes it starts to wander again…heading under the hedge out of the rain.

They let me up to touch, but I don’t. Mom even lets me about 3’ away before she keeps one eye on me.
They seem to leave the crates alone. Stick to the clover and other leaves like the hollyhocks. (Ate all but two I planted to hide Twin2)
Unless they get to be a big problem I’ll let them hang again this year. Never know, the way food prices are going could be part of the garden bounty this fall.
Wife won’t eat wild game and I don’t like dark meat…so little fuzzy is okay until we can’t afford dog food.
