Post which topics you would like to see covered the most. Please keep in mind that i am only able to do one at a time with an expectation of about 2 weeks per article.

First i will be breaking down spectrum and its impacts on cannabis plants.

I will also be doing o2 in the root zone and its effects. Those from the farm may remember @Moe.Red and i working on this and i used elevated o2 levels in my system on my last grow with water temps into the high 80’s and at one point over 90f. Keep an eye out because im going to disclose exactly how it is accomplished and how you can do this for your grow as this is on the back burner for some time and i wont be ready to sell units for some time or at least the foreseeable future.

If you are doing articles, it would certainly seem we all need a PH refresher on the hydro side.

If you want to take this up a notch, my videographer at work could make videos for you.
That would be cool. I can prob finish the PH one very quickly so maybe ill start there. Cause i can prob just grab my old info and cleanup and add to it

Also on nutrients taken up more by the plant at certain ph levels through the grow.and some of bugbees videos would b good to include on what ph cannabis performs best..or maybe we have all bugbees vids together?

How about an over-arching Who We Are and What We Believe section I like what Mad Max said about reliable resources

Myth dispelling is one thing but best practices probably provide a better yardstick for newer growers who may have difficulty separating the wheat from the chaff.

Water: Oxygenated water will increase plant health and is good for roots. Rain water is best, purest...Water slowly, take 1/2 of the water you want to give -- and wait 1 hour for the next 1/2.
Soil: Easiest to get started with 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 plus additives. Don't use compost raw -- it must sit and mature. Re-using soil OK? Discuss.
Seeds: No one should have to buy them if they are budget minded? Give away section?
Lights: Largely $$$ talks here, better ones are more expensive...not sure if much more needed
Darkness: I thought this was a thing....but others say it isn't discuss
Hydro: Know nothing about this one....
Bugs: Ditto
Edibles: Brownies are good

Just spitballing here as Pipe carver says....interesting he is being chased globally by ladies...

I love the idea but I'm starting to feel like a red headed step child. Can us dirt farmers get some love along with some mythbusting? Most of the info being disseminated portends to hydro style growing. Can we get some articles written on CEC, Live Soil, etc.?

Been waiting.

Aqua has full control over this sub forum. If he wants to add threads that are video channels, like all the bugbee videos in one sticky thread then close it, it would make an easy spot to go grab the video link and post it elsewhere as the need arises.

Arranging content to be the most usable is up to you all.

And I agree, soil farmers need some love too. I think all will happen in time. You notice he is the weed guru, not a hydro grower like me! We also have @CannaGranny doing her thing, and @TSD managing outdoor content. It will all come together!

Idk about topics but I was thinking about a seed and strain section. Some place we can give reviews of seed banks or breeders, show off some of the plants grown from said breeders. Also a place where the breeders we have can peddle their goods. Just a thought?

Heyyyyyy @Aqua Man been too long brotha. So glad to see ya and hope you are well. Not sure if this would be the place but I fell into a bit of a rabbit hole and would really like to know what you might about electroculture. Quite random but the guy I have been listening a bit to lives in the same exact town I do.
The links below are to his YT page and 1 video I found interesting. What do you know, I then got baked and now copper wire and 1 foot bamboo sticks are on the way to my house  It makes a lot of sense to me and I don't see any harm in trying so what the hay.

Anyone know anything about this? Is it worth a thread?

I can say it WILL effect the plants but how i cant say if it will be positive or negative because i just dont know anything about it. As does magnetism and i have a feeling that electromagnetism is probably whats being used. Ill watch the video shortly and see what i can pick out.

But as of now i think it’s something that needs a lot more research and im not sure if the gains if any are worth the effort but again i know very little about this

There’s a supersoil and knf farming thread somewhere I thought ? I know red gonna Do a soil grow

Love the new avatar. That dog is such a clown.

So my honest opinion and I haven’t watched the whole thing but i have seen some of his stuff before… is…. Its like saying advil cure cancer.

Now thats not to say it has no benefit but my gut tells me a lot is exaggerated and unknown.

Plants get their energy from light through a very complex process. They are over 95% efficient in photosynthesis. Recent studies at MIT have shown plants use quantum mechanics in this process. It’s extremely complex and if you want more details i will have to reread some things so i explain better.

So with that said how much energy can a plant gain from electromagnetism… again gut says not very much but thats not to say that it wont have a positive effect on nutrient availability or stimulate microorganisms in a way that is beneficial to the plant. I feel like that is where the most benefit will come from after more studies are done.

In the NOW… i feel its more work than its worth and i feel like that largely due to the lack of data available on the subject ao my opinion may change.

Sorry I couldn’t give a more definitive answer. And its quite possible i eat my words in a few years

For those interested in how plants use quantum mechanics i just plucked this. Its from a berkeley study. Its quite fascinating that an electron can travel all pathways at the same.

Aqua in short what is your take on PH?
I like to run say 5.6 veg and early flower 5.8 mid flower and 5.9 late flower.
All depends on the nutrient ratios and tbh i cant say which is best for what because there are sooo many different ratios.

Using Athena will be different than using jacks.

Typically they do very well at a wide range so long as it is relatively stable.

Add to that different genetics will have a preference. Probably the best method would to to find its native habitat but even that doesn’t exist for many strains.

So imho in hydro a range from 5.4 to 6.2 should be fine and yes in veg when nitrogen demand is high you will likely benefit from a lower PH and as the demands change a higher PH is favourable.

I would say its likely you have your PH dialled in and those numbers are a very good place to be. Only over several grows of the same genetic might you dial it in better. But as long as your within range you can also tweak ratios.

The fact we change our ph and ratios is where ppl can create problems but its also where ppl can dial in their grows to perfection.

If newer i suggest just sticking to the range and keeping ratios very similar or the same for the entire grow.

But you sir are neither of those and will/have benefited from tweaking both.

Jeez I can’t seen to answer anything definitively lol

I have a pretty good idea what you are talking about. I ran Athena for years, best yield was with it but it is challenging. Jacks is kind of like, works for every stain sort of thing. I tried tweaking it the last couple grows and some plants did really well with it and some got angry. All nutrients have their challenges.
I am going to move on from Jacks, I will use it in Veg but I am trying Masterblend 0-12-24 and Calcium Nitrate. I have to look at the numbers again and what I know about Athena. Seems Athena publishes the Mag as half the actual content which is legal but the large companies do not do this. I really liked the Masterblend, mixes way better than the Jacks. Jacks uses I believe Calcium Chloride in the base 5-12-26 and that stuff does not want to dissolve in water. I am worried the calcium in the Masterblend might be too high. M ore research needed.

Cal to N ratios play a huge role… this is where you want to talk to Dr.green brother. I think you have his email no?

I knew him pretty well towards the end of my time at the other place. Can you send me his email or invite him to this site? He shared some really cool stuff with me over PM's. I always think of him for what he called the six pack. I still wanted to find out his boron bump at Transition. Dr. Fernandez touched on something I found that is probably true also, these Monosilic Acid products have to have an additive to stabilize the acid. Mentioned Boron as one of the stabilizers. I used this stuff called silicium, it really worked better than what I am using now. Dr. Fernandez mentioned they might be adding more than needed to improve results. Just because I hate paying for these over priced bottled nutrients I cannot deny they have crap in them (legal) besides what is on the label. All perfectly legal!
