I agree. I quit tips about a year ago. I like the way a doob tastes without the tip, as it smokes and resinates. So ever since cannabis was legalized I could never understand why pre rolls taste like wet cardboard or something. Always left a weird aftertaste no matter what strain. But if you roll a fatty with no tip it taste great! So I made a bunch of pre rolls with tips from home grown. They all taste lick chit. So I break the tips off and bam, it taste like weed again. Try it! It’s amazing. I understand that tips kind of collect resin so it doesn’t get on your lips or whatever it they seriously change the taste to poop. Down with tips!!
But what I really want to know is why back in the day you'd use a matchbook crunch on the outside of the doob but never thought to put it inside thew paper??
I’ve only used a dry herb vape since around june or july. Out of curiosity, I rolled some blue dream (one of my faves) and lit it up.
2 hits and threw it away. I can’t stand the burning smell or taste anymore.
Dry herb vaping isn’t without drawbacks, but it certainly tastes better to me.
That was kind of surprising to me. I didn’t expect to lose the taste for it so rapidly!

Dry herb vape vapes are great for taste until about half way through the session. The other half tastes like the ABV it’s sitting in. Just my opinion. They are very good vessels to be stealthy when needed. Very hard to be a good joint for anything else.I’ve only used a dry herb vape since around june or july. Kinda like water boarding but not, lol.I am no fan of the herb vapes.
Not like smoking at all IMO.
I want a strong oxygen depleting hit.
Bongs and joints~!![]()
it's definitely a completely different experience.I am no fan of the herb vapes.

anybody else here use the ceramic caps from grolsch beer to smoke with, we called em roach rocks!
Difference between smoking and vaping dry herb are the temps. Various terpenes release at different temps effecting taste and high. In a joint there is combustion which releases all the terps all at once. Dry herb vapes can be temp adjusted and the herb does not combust.I’ve found my older weed, especially when lower than 60RH, is best for smoking. Get a little higher too I think.
My newer weed or jars with 62+RH weed is nicer in the vape. Aroma and taste is strong. High is fine but I alway think it’s a little stronger when smoked.
Over the winter we vape more because screw going out in the snow to smoke.![]()
That is exactly what I take advantage of. The PAX2 has 4 temp settings. I used to start at the lowest, now I use the 2nd lowest and with each session, bump the temp up. Definitely taste different things at different temps. Not all are pleasant.Difference between smoking and vaping dry herb are the temps. Pax used to have an app on the apple apps site. Gone now due to vape restrictions and minors. But it was a good app. You could set the temp at whatever you wanted beyond those 4 settings they are equipped with out of the box. That is exactly what I take advantage of. Oddly enough, some taste better at low temps and other are better at high temps.
They all taste burnt at the highest temp ( to me anyway!).
Some of these restrictions are so random it makes me wonder. I realize this old world needs laws, but in my perfect world, it would be peaceful anarchy!Pax used to have an app on the apple apps site.
