Bandit on a Safari and I'm Hunting Unicorns

That's a find right there all NOS like that and everything!
Mine are all scattered in boxes if they're not left up in the rafters.

I'll mess with the mood lights later today after work.

It's defunct technology now but yeah! Would be cool if a company like AC Infinity resuscitated it but yeah man check this shit out!

I've taken it even further with hydraulic tables so now plants and lights go up and down by remote control...

Having a bad back got me into all the remote control stuff and building things like the water delivery system. I've always kinda thought if weed got legal here I might get into building handicap accessible grow rooms

BTW I have your VG printed out and now I just need to make time for a trip to the post office

Even those have been discontinued. I saw them in action once in demo and thought they were a downgrade. The app was wonky AF.
Sun System was one of those victims of covid and buyouts.
Hawthorne and it's big ag evilness swooped in and bought it out then discontinued pretty much all products.
They did the same with other companies. Pretty much everybody got devoured in buyouts but some products survived. Like all the General Hydroponic nutes but not any systems, Gavita, Can Fan all lived and are now under Hawthorne but like CAP and Sunlight Supply were lost.
Then that's where companies like ACI and Vivosun came in to offer alternatives and better pricing.

Quality overall across the board has suffered IMO. The ancient Jedi proverb "They sure don't make 'em like they used to" applies like a MF in 2025

;smoke Yeah you could say that.....

It would be crazy to have the hydraulics set on a leaf temp sensor or maybe AI to read the leaves or some crazy Batman shit lol

I may be going that route next IDK.
Not willing to buy Stonington anymore not just on price but in my last 3 bags, one had a huge clump of mycelial mass like something that formed around a rotting log and my last bag had a big worn plastic grocery bag mixed in. It was the best soil ever for me but price and recent lack of quality control have me looking at options. I have 5 bags of Greenfields to start then gonna look around at local options.

That would be super ez to do!
The control interface is ready for several types of control. I use handheld remote but there's also radio transmitter, app control, then aftermarket which could be a trigger sensor activated by anything.
BTW your VG ship
ped out yesterday!
Go Bandit!

that would be awesome if aci came out with a winch system!! we need to whisper that in their ear!!!

.

hope ya had a great time today!!!

Here's that link on the carb cap but there's a ton of fancy options out there too. I think Amazon may have taken this down too.

Man I think Small fucked Briscoe with that last pit. ;bris didn't have winning speed, but I felt it had 5th-10th place speed. KB lost 1st on melted tires but Bell won it as well. I just fell like Brisky coulda been top 10 and not 14.
But yeah...Great to see that penalty lifted and now he's in the hunt!!

BTW...The weekend provided some grow light sticker redemption for me making up for losing the SVG sticker to you

Those freeze dryers are awesome for drying buble hash.only times I have ever been able to get real blonde buble rosin it was dryed in one of those.

You just couldn't help yourself right?

Had to beat the tariffs!
At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it ;pervert

Great seats again. Great race glad you got to enjoy it man~!
Plants look outstanding as usual~!
Another toy.
Watching what you do with this.:sneaky:

Thanks Buddy!
Hence forth and starting with this current crop...All rosin made here will be Live Rosin!!!;rockb

I've been thinking about trying it out to winterize waxy rosin and see how that comes out.
And of course, taking a run at making astronaut ice cream 🚀🧑‍🚀🍨 😋
Cant wait to get the lab all built out and start playing with it

How do you winterize with it.that sounds interesting

It will make some fire full melt buble hash if you use fresh frozen bud.i liked the hash more than the rosin we pressed out of it.

Did you freeze dry before or after running thru the wash?
I don't have a bubble hash washer but almost everything else from press to tumbler and sift screens.
I'm pretty much planning on freeze drying everything before any kind of extraction.
Really curious about how the tumbler will do with freeze dry especially. I think that's the one where with freeze dried material, tight micron screen and tumble for maybe 1-5 minutes would provide the cleanest full melt hash I can probably make. I also have a freezer large enough now to stick the tumbler in there and do everything at below zero temps.

Work is well underway to organize and declutter my carport getting rid of stuff I've been hoarding, cleaning, and making it a more functional and usable area.
With the freed up space I want my extraction lab and a soil lab in there. If there's enough room I may also move my small indoor sauna out there. My massage recliner is out there already but not set up and I may also add something like a bench press or step up station for exercise. I really want my carport to be functional like a garage and man cave more than just a place to store shit out of sight and out of mind.

I want the soil station to be an area protected from weather with a mixer, table for at least 8 bags, a sealed bin for amendments, and be ez to hit with a garden hose or leaf blower for ez clean up.

It's coming along.
The decluttering will free up a trash bin with sealing lid I can use for mix in goodies, the table just needs cleaning up, and I got the mixer a while ago. It's for compost but I'm gonna 3D print some paddles for the inside to make it into a mixer.
This will end up being a very user friendly space as I get back into to mixing soils

IMG_0910[1].jpeg

This space is gonna be my pride and joy because I'm putting just as much into it as I have my grow space since making hash is right there with growing for me as favorite hobbies.
I want the extraction lab to be special. Perform at a very high level and do various jobs.
Equipment is all in place as of today. Tomorrow I'll run electric and also put in lighting and a fan.

I already have a bluetooth speaker to jam while I squish and sift but Thursday it's also getting a 22" TV with neon backlighting and a firestick for streaming. Ya know...Just in case I wanna squish and watch racing at the same time 😋

So for the fresh frozen live rosin we would know before hand which plants where washers.we would chop it, remove all fan leaves from bud ,bag it,put directly into the deep freeze .then we would pull it out when we were ready to wash it.after the hash was collected from the wash we would dry it in the freeze dryer.then run it through a sieve to separate it,bag it and press the rosin.we cold cured allot of that rosin for dabs but did that in the deep freeze also. The only thing we used the freeze dryer for was drying buble hash.they got it right before i quit the farm,so i didnt have Allot time to mess with it .i never put flower in it.we never pressed flower we always made all our rosin from dry sift or buble. We also pressed allot of dry sift from the trim bins .the fresh frozen and dry sift from the indoor weed was sold as dabs or we would winterize it and make carts.the rosin from the dry sift and washes from the outdoor we would make edibles with.we would also do an ethanol soak of the hash rosin chips for edibles. The chip soak was always too thick for the source turbo, because I soaked so many chips in one batch.the source turbo would always burp it into the clean ethanol reservoir. We just used the turbo to reclaim the stuff we were winterizing for carts. Awesome set up dude!!!!!

so remember how this round i started my seeds just after you did? well totally pants yet once again!!!! ;wedg ;rfl

i've really been slacking this round, spending more time on the hydro because it's a diva and the soil plants just do their own thing and don't need training wheels. gonna do an upcan in the few days. i'm out of my used soil so now all i have left is new stonington, i'm so dreading using it because i absolutely know its gonna have gnats like every other bag!!! i'm gonna try to dump it out and add the nematodes and water it in a tote for a few days before i upcan,,, really wish i would have done this a week ago!!! spaced it! those nematodes worked so freakin awesome for me, first time i haven't had gnats in a couple years now!!!

watchin the busch race now.. been proud of myself, i haven't missed a single points opportunity on fan rewards!! got the cup steak bonus last week too!!! scored a bonus 50 for buying the premium app option (scanner) last week as well. only go 10 for the powerball this week, i assume this fluctuates, i remember you saying something about that..

we both got Brisky in the pool this week!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;bris;checkers i took larson in the 36/36.. i didn't join a league or anything with that or fantasy, just a one man team!! hahaha i'm always in first place baby!!! and last... hahaha

Thanks for the run down!
I'll be looking forward to harvest maybe most of all. The idea of just removing fans and bucking to fit in the deep freeze at chop sounds super ez.
The only issue I see early so far is being speedy cutting the frozen weed down to size to fit into the freeze dryer. I was hoping I could remove racks to fit large colas in there but I can't. Everything will need to be in small bite size bits.

Gonna steal that idea about using the chips in a qwiso and render down in the Source.
I rarely squish kief and am probably 95% flower. When I do get kief off the sifting trays I usually just press it an make a temple ball or cannoli, break chunks off and smoke in a bowl or pepper in a doob. Tumbler kief is usually stuff I experiment with or do press since there's so much veg matter that comes with it.

Didn't watch the race until last might after work and yikes it when bad early. Fucking Bell with 3 in a row. Dude is just shitting wins now.

Well my hydro went sideways there to start. Plants sat in hot dead water and almost died. I did give up on 3 but 17 lived to fight on.
During that whole ordeal there was 3 days of downward spiral, 3 days of recovery, and about 5 more days back to speedy growth. So I kinda feel like this garden is slow and almost 2 weeks behind where it should be. But shit if you say it's still fast then groovy!!!
Today they're 7 weeks from dry seed and this week I should start seeing well defined cotton balls.
I like the way it's coming on now. The tables kinda make me look like a pro canopy manager 😋

Been trying to keep up with your hydro and watching you and Moe with the coco in the netcups. I don't understand 99% of the shit Y'all are doing but if I wanna go hydro to start I may need to scrap aero and go with something like the coco cups.

Only real sting now with this garden is I hit 7 males and 10 females. I could fit 14-16 females in there so I'm short 4-6 plants. With no veg or vegging only a few days it's all about as many plants as possible to make up for not growing fewer larger plants with longer veg times.

Then the chance of coming up short is nearly 100% when going with regular seeds and not dropping 30 or so beans.
Tried to tilt the favor with some fems and I think that got me well above 50% full so maybe next grow I do all fem for yield then back to regular and keep going back and forth like that.

It's weird how you get gnats with Stonington and I get mushrooms but we don't get what each other gets. I'm pretty much done with it though. Nice and fun while it lasted but quality control is concerning and pricing feels like gouging off popularity. Availability is a bitch for me too.
Would be cool if Neptune's Harvest made soil then I'd try it out.
These plants here are in the last of my Stonington. After this it will be Greenfields with oyster shell, bio-char and Pridelands Organic Bloom mixed in since I can't get the Pridelands soil to try out.

Thheerr wrecking...But the 20 in front 🏁🏴‍☠️

Me watching that.....

I'm already a fan of cold curing flower so I imagine I'll tilt in favor from bias but will definitely try out everything

Yours may be more useful than mine. I have 7 slots in mine that are not as tall. Mine is called the pharmaceutical model.

Great if you are drying tiny dispo buds. Not so great when your home grow doesn't fit.

I think for us the larger slots like yours would be more practical if you like to keep your buds intact. I have to cut mine up to get them to fit.

But these buggers will suck the water right out of anything you put in there! My wife sticks fruit and candy and whatever in there. Everything comes out smelling like weed tho.

sweet man, ya know when i ordered that i had no idea it was coming from china. is it a real cheapo? after i saw that i was like aw he won't even be able to hang it outside if its that thin..

did you happen to see any nice dual sided flags at his merch trailer?

oh man you don't wanna none of that problem!!! those guys are all trying but nothing seems to be fixing it yet and it just might not be fixable at this point. newest set of leaf edges curl in, second set starts to burn, then by third set they're dead and not functioning anymore. and this repeats over and over.. so all the lower growth is like ferns under a pine tree in the forest, it gets no light nor has leaves to give energy and grow. which in turn sends no signal need to branch out more roots causing a terrible cycle of bad growth. i'll be starting over very soon. hate failing...

i'm gonna give rockwool combined with a flood and drain a try for my seedling and early veg. something where i can easily start a handful of seedlings and narrow it down to the best looking two and still be able to keep them manageable so i can easily add them into my hydro system.
i'm gonna give it a try and if i like they style i will get a small tent to house it all. thats what i wanted the controller for, i want to use the 275 for this hydro veg area and keep it independent.

that might be a really cool way for you. you seem to really enjoy breeding now and then and that would really open up some extra possibilities for that and it would also always be something a little different. mix in your other styles like no veg and cloning and stuff and there would be a lot of different options and freedom in each different grow.

After this it will be Greenfields with oyster shell, bio-char and Pridelands Organic Bloom mixed in since I can't get the Pridelands soil to try out.

oh wow i didn't know pridelands even made a soil mix!! i've been using their lineup of nutes in my soil for three or four rounds now. i like them a lot. the carbs get a little rock hard and tough to deal with but other than that i really like them. it was the low N green aminos that got me into them. now i have all their stuff, except for their great white substitute and lets face it there is no substitute for great white!!!

.

i hope i get good fantasy bonus reward points.. i had 1-2-3 this week!! i had brisky in there and when i saw him 4 x 4 it off other cars i was like noooo.. i quick put in dickhead hamlin that i had in the garage.

i bet joe Gibbs is kicking himself in ass for not letting CBell race dirt last year!!!! enough is enough now, let somebody else win huh!!!

Oh this one has the small racks too lol!
I think they all do but some have more racks than others. Mine only has 4 racks so it will take a couple weeks I imagine to process a whole harvest into freeze dried little nugs.
The height of each rack is less than ideal and it would be best if they were removable but I'll work around that. I'm just kinda shocked I finally have one because I always thought they were out of reach.
I had been looking at one on Costco's website for a couple years since I saw yours. I think it's a home unit but it's stainless steel and 5 racks for $2500. Hardly even discounted off retail. So when this one came up at the warehouse with rebate incentives dropping it to only $1325 I was intrigued. They had 6 in stock and when it got down to 2 I couldn't let it pass even with it being smaller than I'd prefer.

that might be a really cool way for you. you seem to really enjoy breeding now and then and that would really open up some extra possibilities for that and it would also always be something a little different. mix in your other styles like no veg and cloning and stuff and there would be a lot of different options and freedom in each different grow.

oh wow i didn't know pridelands even made a soil mix!! i've been using their lineup of nutes in my soil for three or four rounds now. i like them a lot. the carbs get a little rock hard and tough to deal with but other than that i really like them. it was the low N green aminos that got me into them. now i have all their stuff, except for their great white substitute and lets face it there is no substitute for great white!!!

.

i hope i get good fantasy bonus reward points.. i had 1-2-3 this week!! i had brisky in there and when i saw him 4 x 4 it off other cars i was like noooo.. i quick put in dickhead hamlin that i had in the garage.

i bet joe Gibbs is kicking himself in ass for not letting CBell race dirt last year!!!! enough is enough now, let somebody else win huh!!!

The flag looks like the same one on Racing USA and about the same quality as a Mahindra one with the car I got a few years ago. Texas weather is a bit harsh on them and only last a year so with this one I'll hang it in my carport so the wind and UV don't mess it up and it stays out of the hands of damn squirrels. They tore my SHR flag to hell.

The hauler haul was kinda weak with all the new drivers and drivers changing teams this year man.
Not much for Briscoe so this was all I got. No flag was available

As usual, prolly spent the most at the JRM/Hendricks hauler because JRM always has the coolest shit. My dogs scored this time

Larson may have had a shot getting $8;lar out of me but they didn't have a tiedye #;larhat I waited to see there or the inaugural win Camaro diecast

When my aero failed it was very similar to what I saw with yours. My choice was either fix the 'dro or move to soil and give it a tea. IDK what it was but it just looked like what I call "upset tummy" where everything internal and uptake wise is sick. Compost tea is like a dose of pepto in those regards so I went to soil and tea.
They all lived and moved on from it but I still think it stunted all my plants.
Funny you mentioned ebb & flow because I'm thinking maybe the same thing but using airpots and those mesh pot things stardog uses for seedlings but much larger for my airpots to fit inside. That way the flood cycles don't wash soil out of the airpots.
I'd mostly use it like an autowaterer so I don't have to hand water 20-25 airpots.

Yeah Pride Lands makes a few soils and one is even tuned for flowering! Super hard to find and have it shipped though. I found one shop and it came out to around $55/bag/1.5cf.
But they also make the 2 - 5.5 - 5.5 NPK bloom formula to add into soils and it's much more cost effective so I ordered it to use in my mixer. Got all the good stuff I like to see in a bloom blend like crab & oyster, kelp, glacier dust and more.

🔥

Final plant count and arrangement is pretty much set so today I adjusted lights into an umbrella effect to wrap the patch of grass in light and I'm setting up the UV.....
