Bandit on a Safari and I'm Hunting Unicorns

you gotta be getting close to harvest yeah?

i think Steamroller has been chopping as well.. i wonder if he's using his power scissors?
ahhh speak of the devil, he just posted here!!!! hahahahaha

.

87° here today......
No power scissors yet.
I got the 3 High Mars in the Cannatrol day 4 today.
I think they will need a little longer as I stuffed all 6 shelves with the three plants.
Probably get them into paper bags with meters soon.
The rest [ 5] need to be chopped ASAP so I can clear the tent.
Probably this weekend, they got water yesterday which is probably last for them.

who smells the best? in your opinion.

Fan of Nugsmasher also and owner of an XP.
I agree with Bandit and feel the gauge makes a difference.
Plate size matters and I think the XP is 4x6.
Beyond the lifetime warranty Nugsmasher is a 'diamond' per say.
They will give you 80% purchase price credit if you choose to upgrade in the future.
But the XP or the Touch are likely most peoples top end and good enough for all but the true pro IME.

Love my Touch over my old OG but the buy back program is the only area I'd give NS a failing grade or maybe D+ at best.
Yeah they give money back but not anywhere close to 80% and my trade is was immaculate, in perfect like new condition.
On top of that you cover return shipping and on a press this heavy to Nevada, was about $100 UPS ground.
The credit I got was for around $340 and I was expecting double that. It also took some patience, a couple emails and a phone call to get that refund. Along with the UPS shipping it cut it down to only $240.
While that's still cool for a company to deal with trade ins and stuff, it would be better if they were more transparent on how it actually works because it seems keeping it vague is intentional.

i gotta listen to his scanner for this one!!!

you know they'll be doing interviews with him for sure!!!!

.
trucks in texas this week!!! i really like that track.

speaking of texas, i had to shine up the kicks man. they had a rough week and got pretty dirty!!!! last night i busted out some car cleaners and went to town on them.. used fabric cleaner on most of it and then leather cleaner for the rest. they smell brand new again!!

ready for action again!!

you really have changed my mind on sneakers man. i'm pretty sure i'm gonna take the plunge and buy these this weekend..

that discount code you gave me ran out so i probably should have bought them back then but i wasn't sure i would really war them often, now i know i will, i wear these air's almost every day now.

Trucks are next week bro! They're off this week then everybody comes to Texas for a full weekend of action.
I bet this will be the highest rated 'Dega race in the history of ARCA with that guy running it.
Looking forward to the new Netflix season as well soon.

Hey draft starts tonight!!!!
I saw a mock on NFL that had my guy Kelvin Banks Jr. to The Raiders!!! ;rockb

I'll probably end up sending you my 2025 football season shoes too man. I have so many pairs of orange and white shoes now one pair has become my gardening and yard work kicks. Sent a few older pairs to donation last week.
I get issued all new stuff 2x in August and don't even keep much anymore. I've marked my size as a women's medium and large so this year my wife will get all my outerwear and shirts.

You just can't go wrong with Nike Pegasus or Air Max. I'll die on that hill!
I'm loving my new custom Air Max Bandits!!!

Everything is either hung or on ice. Didn't even need power snips and hand plucked all leaves and left everything frosty on the vines

Not for me anymore!
Been without booze of any kind for 105 days and I aint breaking that streak.
Have my first check up since my heart episode and pneumonia tomorrow. Getting another echo and tests to check my progress and TBH, I'm trying to impress my doc with my choices since he last saw me.
Booze would destroy that progress so I'm not going back to it. Just weed and herbal tea for me brother! Cheers to that!

Damn, I'm sorry, my dad has the same problems, making me want to look for a solution.

I can't imagine what that's like besides maybe some feeling I get in my hands/wrist from playing too much computer games, my left hand starting with my pinky and going out gets so fucking numb sometimes, im not sure what it is biomechanically exactly causing it, and worse in my right hand....

there's a specific character in a game that requires really fast and accurate movements/"wrist flicks" , I've mastered over the last 10 years and fucks my wrist/hands all up lol

sucks gettin old!!!

Another Nike shoe you may like would be the Downshifter. It's another runner on a similar wide platform for stability, comfort, and hours on the road.
I always recommend running shoes even if you're not a runner. Maybe walking shoes too but avoid shoes like cross trainers or basketball as they're not really made to be worn for a long day or have the support needed for people with back pain and other issues. Nike may be one of the only brands making runners in gore-tex as well, not sure.
But yeah the Downshifter is pretty much my daily driver I'm not afraid to tear up or get dirty and stained. Usually can be had for around $50 at most sporting good stores.

I like the Raiders pick a ton! Best RB in the draft and probably the best almost sure bet you can have in a top 10 pick.
You saw what Pete Carrol can do with a good RB from his days with Marshawn Lynch and back at USC with Bush and White. Coach knows how to run the damn ball bro!!! Jeanty will be a star soon.
Saints, Donkeys, and Pack all bettered themselves with Longhorns last night but there's still a couple available.
Rnd 2 we'll prolly see Alfred Collins the big DT who LV could use and Ewers tonight or 3rd round but I think he goes tonight.
Also have another DB and some day 3 picks on the board.
Good draft so far. Nobody took the Sanders bait so that's good.
I saw Raider fans wanting him last season holding signs wanting to tank the season to draft him but Raider brass not taking him tells me they're not doing stupid shit anymore or at least less of it. You do not need an entitled diva with a helicopter dad in your program bro. We get them all the time and jettison them about as soon as the drama reveals itself which it always does.

Yeah Stoney is your guy on cart info. Edibles are indeed better when made with concentrate over herb too.

Hey good luck with all that, none of it is easy, I can kick them all for a while then Pizza drags me back in. Next thing you know I'm drinking beer having shots of whiskey and waking up sick.....I like the steam baths at my gym but saunas I have a hard time breathing in. Back in British Columbia it was all sauna's out east here all I know of are steam baths

thanks i'll use that info for sure. yea arch support is probably second in line to the stability. to add insult to injury i'm also flat footed so a good arch is nice. but the "wide tire" is a must for sure.

and i'm not apposed to the price, believe me id spend $500 if i knew it would help me!

oh man they really know how to keep ya in suspense!!! i'm sure you can feel your body and know you're doing the right thing. i'm still sticking to my low carb diet, it's working. i didn't weigh myself yet but i know i'm lighter. sure feel high today!!! hahahaha

i sure do miss some good cajun rice though!!! hehe

Quitting booze is almost exactly like when I quit cigarettes. Had my last one and didn't look back. My wife marvels at my ability to quit something cold turkey but IDK, it works for me.
Been to some AA classes in the past and considered it a fluffy joke of a treatment. I'm wired different.
What helps me is being disgusted by something and hard coaching.
Thinking about cigs and booze, mostly the flavor and aromas that were once pleasant to me now make me gag and turn my stomach.
Food commercials of big greasy burger or pizza with cheese stretching across a room do the opposite and make me crave a salad.

On the backside is some hard coaching from my doc and people around me.
IDK if others do, but my doc will cuss at me and treat me like a grown man and not a sickly patient. He's from a football background and has a kid in the NFL so we're in the same type of environment where words are not minced and everything is hard. I respond to that. Reminds me of my old drill sergeants in the Army getting on my ass and pointing out things that could mean life or death.
I've also been getting help from a strength and conditioning football coach and told him as well, don't be nice and tell me what I need to hear not what I want to hear.

I'm still able to enjoy pizza but I gotta make it and verify ingredients.
A thin wheat crust is a heart healthy option on crust often with low carbs, 0 fat, low cals, 0 cholesterol, 0 sugar, and low salt.
I use fat free mozzarella. Only cheese approved by heart doctors. Sometimes I'll use plant based cheese too which are good once melted.
I'll use either a no salt/no sugar red sauce, pesto, or my fave, just brush with olive oil and shake Italian herbs on for the sauce.
And for toppings I just do veggies but will add hardy veggies like squash and artichoke hearts to replace any meats. If I do use a meat, it's shrimp or clams.
With ingredients like that I can make a pizza about as healthy as a chef's salad. Satisfies that craving 100% but it also helps that once I grew up into an adult, my taste for pepperoni has faded and it's kinda gross to me now so veggie pizza on wheat is right in my wheelhouse of flavor.

I have the big dry sauna at my work and a small steam sauna at home. Been a sauna guy for about 15 years now.
The dry is hard to breathe and takes time to acclimate to it. At first, I could only do 10 minutes with a towel over my face to cool the air I breathe in. But after maybe 5-6 times I was able to stay in longer and breathe better.
The dry is great for weight loss, pain, blood circulation and acclimating to heat.
Saunas have been one of the reasons I can function in 105 degree Summer weather.
The small steam sauna does some of the same but to less effectiveness yet excels at respiratory therapy with that steam. Add in some eucalyptus oil and you're in business! That's my go-to treatment for cold and flu.

thanks i'll use that info for sure. yea arch support is probably second in line to the stability. to add insult to injury i'm also flat footed so a good arch is nice. but the "wide tire" is a must for sure.

Yeah I just now realized I never did talk about my NS trade in experience. I guess I was so sour about it I just wanted it over with.
That was when you made my magnet plate for me which had me all happy because I was still mad at NS for wanting another $35 for that part after I had just bought a $2000 press FFS. Talk about nickel and diming a customer to death. NS has that shit down!

Luckily I can still have rice! In fact might make some shrimp fried rice this weekend.
Yeah it was just techs and a nurse today then the doc will see me later to go over everything but they dropped some hints to make me smile and happy enough to go to the dispo and grab a celebratory cart of Mowie Wowie lol.
Yeah I can feel it too bro. I feel stronger, faster, and lighter. Can climb several flights of stairs like nothing now without getting winded.
I can also see it being able to wear clothes I haven't worn in a decade so I'm into some of my old Texas gear that look like new vintage today hahaha..
There's some stretch marks on my belly from shrinking like a pregnant woman after giving birth and I even had a lady get all flirty with me so much I had to tell her I was married while on a dog walk the other day.
All that in itself is a high I really enjoy. Booze can't even come close to it so that's just another reason why this has all been relatively ez for me.

Chips and beer around when I’m in the mood look out. But I stopped buying it so lost a lot of weight.

Then a while ago when they started selling alcohol in the grocery stores my wife starts buying me beer or cider. She stopped the chips again but is back to Doritos. 🤦

I think she’s trying to do me in…slowly. 😳🤣

i've been wanting to ask you if you miss the booze at all but it doesn't sound like it one bit. I know DJ makes it sound like it was the best thing he ever did was quitting.

a good friend of mine just quit smoking cigs after a lifetime.. he just turned 50 and went cold turkey. been a few weeks now . even got his younger brother to quit as well. - i'm proud of all you guys!!!!!!!!!

.

i'm behind a bit on racing today.. i'm just finishing up the arca race now. shame cleetus has that issue, still holding on to her though!!! next up i'll watch xfinity.. got my 50 point on check in and saw the top five running so a little spoiler for later...

.

raiders are still picking em!! this is who they got so far... one more pick to go!!!

Cheers to kicking old bad habits and picking up new ones!
I think the key to quitting a bad habit or making a life change isn't just quitting but filling the void with something better or at least distracting.

A new and safe hobby helps.
Like yesterday after sweeping the Ags in hardball and securing #1 or #2 overall seed for playoffs and the weekend finally being the end of a grueling Spring football season in the past woulda had me going on a bender with bourbon, margaritas, and probably a big fat steak off the grill. Even getting the party started at work with coworkers and driving home buzzed up.

Instead while they popped cold ones, I turned some laps with the RC car, hit my cart, then went home and watched the Cup race and smoked some more. Wife made vegan and turkey meat tacos and I got to taste what plant based sour cream is like. Didn't think about booze at all or getting more wasted than what weed and just being happy the Spring grind is winding down could deliver.
One thing that helps with food is the search and discovery of new flavors. Like I've had a billion cheeseburgers in life and know what a burger is about. Now I seek out other types of burgers not using beef and they're often good or better so I don't even crave things like burgers either.
All that being said, if and when I drop down to 220 some things like slow smoked BBQ and frosty margs on the beach will make a come back in life heavily moderated to be rare treats.

You and yours are gonna love them kicks bro! Folks might call you a city boy around your parts but your dawgs will be so happy you won't give AF!!! My wife loves every pair of Nikes I've got her and I'm sure yours will too especially when they're girlied up like that!

I like the Raiders draft a lot. No Horns or Nittany Lions though but maybe next year or we'll see later when cuts and trades are made.
We set the team record for players sent to the league this year. We'll have 1-2 more 1st rounders next year then '27 will probably see Arch Manning in the draft and that will pretty much be an earthquake changing the dynamics for a lot of teams on how they draft or trade etc in the off season.

Now that Spring is winding down and I'll be getting some more free time then finally Summer vaycay I'm starting to catch up on some things.
Got the 3D printer rolling again. Fixed up the flood and drain with the big rez.
And got the tomatoes in....

That's one of my old aquaponics tubs filled with used weed growing dirts and stuff + 2 Earthboxes.
Found some garden fence at the recycle dump to surround the tub to keep the dogs out then inside then fence lay down critter ridder and cayenne pepper to deter squirrels. Will also let that grass grow tall inside the fence since squirrels hate tall grass. Might even put a fake snake down in there to justify their fear of tall grass.
Another slightly more diabolical deterrence if those dont work...3D print fake tomatoes, coat them in Tanglefoot, then roll in cayenne pepper. Yeah FAFO and bite that fuckers!!!
Once I get them melon patch going do the same thing...print fake melons and coat them with hot pepper then surround the real melons with ground pepper rings

Looks like Raiders silver and black to me!! ☠️
Happy they'll work for ya brother!

Man...No big one and that might've been the low point for Fox broadcasting. I haven't been able to watch a race live all month so I'm lucky to ffw thru commercials but geez even with that tech issues and sideXside commercials in the last 10 laps??!! And IDK was the field scared to race the last lap? Just a dud and the 17 getting collected in the Hamlin shit fucked me in the pool.
I like Mike Joy too but damn does he forget where he's at? Think it might be time for him to retire. Harvick might be the only thing good Fox has going right now.
Picked up around 500 points over the week though. Hit the 10x streak on fantasy and cup + all star and hof votes.
That thing ebbs and flows like my table. Took no time to get 1000. Then 1000-2000 was slow 6 week grind. 2000-3000 about a month then 3000-4000 in only like 2 weeks.

I'm gonna start cutting & sculpting tomorrow and go from there but I'm thinking a move, upcan, and flip to the big room maybe Sunday but probably some time next week.

After they're moved and settled in I'll unleash a pyrethrin bomb because it'd be silly of me to think this tent is bugproof when I see flyers all the time attracted to the lights. The tent for the most part is a greenhouse with lights and a dark skin more than it is an indoor grow tent.

I have a mosquito dunk in the rez so any water left in the tray is treated but that's about it so far for bug prevention.
Thinking about adding a UV rail or two.
So far water in the new rez is maybe around 15 gallons and I've added a shot glass full of Fox Farm Grow Big to it.
Flooding isn't timed and instead I have the pump on a Christmas tree lights remote turning it off and on with that and watching it flood then drain.

Takes about 5 minutes for the whole cycle to complete then I do it again 2 days later for now

IMG_1263[1].jpeg

After these move out I'm gonna keep this tent going but just add other plants like veggies and sunflowers.
The grow bags came in a pack of 200 so I can pretty much turn this tent into a plant starting machine churning out 20 at a time every 30 days or so

Is there a name of the technique so I can read up

"pruning for growth" would be the google search then sift thru techniques that could apply.
I use a combo of pruning for growth, bonsai, & mainlining applying those then adjust for indica dominant and hybrids.
My goals are 4-5 main colas, no inner branches, short distance from soil surface to canopy, and no sucker growth or larf. Also, do it fast. I don't like to loiter when I grow so about 100 days start to finish.
Ideally this is what I want in every plant but this is also a 50/50 hybrid. Sativa leaning will only produce 2 main colas on a taller plant and indicas don't produce conical cola spears at all instead growing large goose egg style colas on 4 main branches like the hybrids but just shaped different

IMG_1220[1].jpeg

I want hybrid indicas like this.
100% indicas may only take a single topping if that or if it's an indica that stacks nodes on top of each other it requires a totally different pruning technique to clean all that shit up and get a good yield out of it otherwise it's button size nugs and no real colas.

IMG_1228[1].jpeg

And sativa leaning hybrids like this but handling these ladies is different and way more challenging than the other three phenotypes in cannabis. These girls require support throughout the grow since pruning only hardens up the branches so much before the large yield flowers bend them over.

Thanks man, getting time to figure out what way to go. Looking at everything. Idk veg time sounds tempting. IDK will see..

I think it starts with how you envision your garden playing out and what do you want to see in the end? Large trees or small plants? Just a few or couple dozen? Is the biggest priority yield, potency, or terps?
If you want things like tree size plants, massive root balls, and tree trunks the size of your wrist then to get that you need lots of veg time.
If the only thing that matters is the parts you can smoke in the end then no veg may be for you.
No veg in a sense is like growing autoflowers except there's no rudy in there fucking with shit and 12/12 is a ton more ez on the budget then 24/7 or 18/6.

The caveat is getting yields and following the basic rule of cannabis and how it yields when I go no-veg.
Three 2' tall plants will equal the yield of one 6' tall plant is the equation.
To make up my yields from growing large plants vs small plants, the only way to do that with no veg is have more plants.
So instead of 5 large plants I try to grow 15 at half the size of the 5 and get the same yield.
Add in the factor of no veg I can grow those 15 plants in 80-100 days while the 5 large plants grow would take roughly around 150 days.
As I stack one grow on top of the other almost like a perpetual grow, I can fit in an xtra grow annually and get a record yield/bumper crop on the year or do what I plan this year and simply shut down and not grow during the most expensive part of the year when it comes to utilities.
With this past year of no veg, I've filled my coffers so much I no longer need a continual garden all year long. No veg has filled my vault with a 2 xtra lbs of weed I didn't have when I was growing large plants.
If I was selling my weed, no veg would have me getting record profits this year.
I could rattle off a few more reasons why I prefer no-veg but again it goes back to what you want out of your garden and what will be best for your operations. No veg is definitely not for everybody.

Here's a thread about no-veg and a good link embedded in it for more info. I was early into my discovery of it in this thread but today I'm dialed in on it

i think this starts on discovery tonight....

Finally something new on tv I can get into!!!;hd

I'm also looking forward to the King of the Hill reboot coming soon to Hulu. That was my favorite show for so long until that dumb ass Cleveland Show took it's spot cancelling it. Another dipshit move by Fox because The Cleveland Show only lasted 4 seasons and flopped out

Redbull used to have one of their Flutag events here in the Summer but not sure why it's not a thing anymore
