SSHZ does Purple Caper "Grand Fire" and Anesia Seeds "Frozen Black Cherry"......

Do you cut the stem out or leave in..bottom pic looks very nice.

I remove as much stem as possible, when trimming.............it dries faster. I do a final trim up when packaging everything too.

But, I do not remove every bud off the stem. If it forms a large cola, I leave the stem in.

i guess it's a pretty easy decision that this crop was pretty impressive, considering I was down and out for almost 2 months with the surgery...........B2ACG's genetics surely helped the cause as 2 of the 3 were his stuff. I never went above 450 ppm, kept things well watered, added the UVB (which I'll continue to use now for future grows), no gnats, mites or anything else the entire grow and managed the heat/humidity well.

I'll continue the clean up, and start back up in a few days.......

Purple Caper "Grand Fire" final review............

If you remember, I started 10 seeds- 4 didn't pop, 1 was a runt and killed off and 5 plants made it for the grow. It was billed as a strong indica, smells like cherry and grape kool-aide, with a good yield done in 7-8 weeks.

I haven't talked much about this one, as the other two strains are A+++ but it's a really good strain. Plants stayed short and I still managed 16 1/4 dried oz off the 5 plants. The plants smell "sweet" but it's a stretch calling it grape or cherry- maybe with a good cure more will come out more.

The smoke reminds me of a good afghani- thick and dense, tasty, sticky and strong. It's definitely a night time smoke- relaxing, mellow, and calming. The taste while smoking is what keeps bringing me back though- it reminds me of some chocolate thai I was getting from Arizona in the early 90's. Buy this one for the taste alone, it's special.

The buds on the plant were not large but it branched out well with the topping and they were very uniform in height and appearance. A few were done at 7 weeks, but I let it all go to 8 weeks and took them all at the same time. Pretty smelly too so be prepared to combat this in flowering. My phresh filter fought the Fire and lost.........lol Just ask the wife.

Here's 2 different buds.......image.jpgimage.jpg

Frozen Black Cherry review.........And a pic below.

Well, no cherries per se, but it's flavorful and a resin standout. We'll see what transpires with a longer cure. It definitely leans a lot to the indica side buzz wise. I ended up with exactly 35 oz from the 10 plants, so a decent+ yielder. They got uvb starting in week 6 til the end, starting at 45 minutes a day up to almost 3 hours daily at the end. Plants were pretty uniform, one pheno was a bit taller than the rest and that was 3 out of the 10. All but maybe 1 plant was done in week 9, that single plant or two maybe could have used another 5-7 days. Overall, a successful and pretty easy grow..........image.jpg

Florida Gaspack strain review later today.........and this thread will be basically finished.

I wish u would have had better luck w the seeds, but I'm glad that u were happy overall w the final results. U nailed it with your description of it too.
Everything looks killer, as all your grows do. Looking forward to the next.

Last review, this time it's Florida Gaspacks............

These were started after the others, to replace the Grand Fires that did not sprout........so they were a week behind in veg from everything else. I got 16 3/4 oz from only 4 plants. The buds are not dense and actually quite airy, but the plants grew large and held their weight well. These probably smell better than either of the other 2 strains, but it's the weakest buzz of the 3. Maybe another week or two flowering would have helped I guess. It still gets me high, just not as strong as the other 2. But, loads of resin with a great taste and odor. These were freebies from B2ACG, and I don't remember why they were thrown in (as he normally doesn't give extras)........

So, this will be my last thread, at least for a while..........I'll be posting more in others threads, but no dedicated thread this crop. I need a break for multiple reasons.

I have started up B2ACG's Roswell Code and Honey Fried Bananas as my next strains and if anything interesting or unusual happens, I'll report on it.........
