Movies/Documentaries (general TV programs)

is episode 8 the last one?

i only watched half of ep 1 so far.. it starts out pretty awesome i remember that!! i need to download the rest but if there's more than 8 of them i'll wait.

Yep #8 is the last one for Skeleton Crew.

I need to rewatch the last 3 of Acolyte because I had it on but was going back and forth between living room and grow room. A jedi wookie was pretty cool.

i thought natural born killers was good back in the day, even bought the soundtrack... the rest of Tarantinos movies are not for me.. tried watching them all, as i'll always try watching a movie before i say i don't like it. and i've tried them all.. don't like em.. dajango wasn't bad but i wouldn't watch it again.

on my radar for the weekend,,,

the new gladiator..

the order...

and the new season 2 of squid games...

The new Gladiator will be on Paramount + on the 21st. Been looking forward to that one but waited for it to come up on one of my streams.
Kinda done with going to the movies since people seem to be going to be assholes taking reserved seats or putting phones on speaker thru the films. Not sure if it's just a thing in my city or a tiktok challenge but it's keeping me out of theaters.
I damn near rented it on prime but decided to wait and I've only had to wait 3 weeks lol.

Happy!

Downloaded this a few years ago. Great show. Funny, nutty and a little crazy. Whole family liked it. Not for young children.

Superb Time Machine AKA A Complete Unknown movie took me back in time. The scene where Al Kooper sits down to play the organ introduction sent chills down my spine. Most deserved of Oscar, Joan Baez was superbly portrayed. FYI, I once washed her windows and made dinner for Joan Sr. before I left town.

Happened to see this in the list of comedies. Haven’t watched it yet but downloaded for later.

Added it to my watchlist buddy! Thanks for the rec!

I've had this one in my que for a while but haven't got the nerve to watch it yet

I've also been getting into some DC stuff....
The animated Harley Quinn show is about as naughty as it gets and a really fun watch.

The newer movies that got bad reviews and online hate....The Batman w/ Robert Pattinson, Joker, and Joker part deux.
I enjoyed all the three TBH and DGAF about the reviews or opinion infulencers trying to take these movies down. They got it wrong.
The Batman was probably the best since The Dark Knight and the two Joker movies are really good IMO. They're all dark and gritty origin story type movies. Raw and unhinged and not cartoonish at all

Poltergeist on roids...if you wanna scare the fuck outta your kids or nieces and nephews grandkids whatever...this is that movie that'll haunt them into adulthood. No lie, glad I didn't see this one as a kid ...not to be confused with "beyond the darkness" which is also decent but this one has like everything scary you ever imagined as a kid

Jokers were okay. I try to watch a movie based on itself, not what I think it should be. Unless it’s supposed to be a certain way for a reason.

Only real issue I have is changing the characters I grew up with to match what’s currently fashionable. They are only doing it to make more sales and to try and get new readers/watchers.

Why creat new heroes when you can just change the existing ones to fit the mold you think will sell? Save money, effort, and who cares if the older fans fade away? Not like I buy comic related items anymore.

Going to have to add this to the list. 👍

Nobody told me all the good stuff is on Apple TV!
Now I know where all the good writers and actors went off to
Binge watching Morning Show this week during some down time

they're not new but check out..

and for fall on the floor funny give this one a watch...

Apple came along just at the right time because it seem every movie and show I've tried out lately has stunk.

Those shows are on my list. Ted Lasso has been mentioned many times on the football message boards.
Their Vietnam doc series got me interested enough to see what other content was there. Every trailer I clicked on looked really good so I got the free 7 day trial but will probably keep it for a while then negotiate it.
Will give Napoleon a shot but that movie, The Greatest Beer Run Ever has my tail wagging but I'm also a sucker for all things Vietnam War related

I've been using service channels thru Prime and cycle thru on promos. When I click to cancel, they offer the promo rate again to keep me on. Now I'm getting Starz, MGM, PBS doc, A&E crime, and History Vault for $2 each/month when that would be like $30-$40 all together without the threat of cancelling. Will see if they do the same with Apple

Yeah it def adds up if you have a few subscriptions.

Wife pays Netflix, I pay student Hulu for 1.99, and the VPN $50/year to get other platform exclusives.

I just watched a good debate point on why video torrenting is still as big as ever, despite new streaming platforms.

The good point was Spotify really was the first to make it easier to pay them to stream than download it yourself illegally. But there is no such video service that has everything like there are with music platforms.

Content changes from platform to platform, some shows are permanently deleted for tax purposes, and then some of your favorite movies aren't streaming on anything.

For stuff I really like, I download, to preserve it for me, not to sell, just for safe keeping.

Second season was different. Wife couldn’t get into it.
Yeah!!! That second season threw me off... It picks up a little, but nothing like the exploratory feeling of the first season. I did really like the last episode of season 2, it's trippy af...

The dance starts a little bit into the clip
