Kuwl...... MH FC 8000 EVO + 6 Plants

I have several sets of ACI Ionbeams..The 16" full spectrum bars and 11" UV bars.

Each set will come with a little controller that will plug into the driver. The controller works as a timer and dimmer.
The light system can also plug into any of the ACI controllers that control environment along with light scheduling.

They can also be ran as "dumb" lights. They will be at max power and use an external timer like most older grow lights.

Given their output, dumb is the best option IMO. I run mine off an old analog timer. The controllers just make things confusing and over engineered.
These lights for the most part are like seedling lights, old 2' T5HO or 50 watt CFL type of output and performance, so there's no real need to ever dim them down.

I bought their Green light with its controller and I disconnected it. I'm glad I was able to or I would have cut it off, I just want full power all the time. Same for the side lights...I just don't see using the controller. It comes with the deal I'll have 2 here if anyone needs one....lol

I have a small box with maybe 6-8 of those little controllers still in plastic. Fans come with a similar device to control them too so all together, like 20 or so tiny controllers.
I'd trade those little controllers and less on the packaging if that meant the price on lights and fans could be brought down. Feels like that stuff adds to the cost when nobody is using or even needing it and it just collects dust and all the packaging gets thrown away.

Week 8
Dumped the old mix and cleaned out the tanks.
Changed the mix, pulled out Core n CaMg and added Fade n cut down Bloom and upped PK.
Tanks are at 800 ppm.
Humidity is nuts here. 59% this morning.
Heat in the room is in the mid to upper 80's.
Even outside the room, in the cellar, it's high T 76/RH 73%.
Usually the cellar stays at 65-67% which is why I was going to use it to hang some plants till
the others were done. Not sure where I'm going to dry them out at.
No room for another tent and can't hang them any where else, cause of cats.
Might have to put the small tent upstairs and hope the cats don't destroy it. lol.

White Truffles will be the first to chop, prob by next week (w9).
It looks frosty as heck but bud colas are small and not much of it, so that suxs.
Blue God will be next, either w9 or 10.
BG has nice big colas with good bud spread with some wieght to it and will bring in a decent amt. come harvest.
The others look to be 2-3 wks away from harvest but doing well.
I thought I would harvest at w9 for sure but can't do it when I see clear tri's still.
Pistil hairs still white too on most of em.

Still trying to guess who is Blue Dream and who is LDS.
BD's leaves should show eventually, Then I'll know, I think.

Brought wifey a scooter to get around with.
I also brought her some Stablizer (Training Wheels) wheels for her electric bike but she is not using or trying to use it yet.

I guess the cam was set to a email format, very small pixel size and changed it just now.
These 2 I took with my iPhone with a loup just to see the tri’s better and the dif in harvest time.
1st is WT looking very ripe n next is BG that might be 2 wks away.

White Truffles will prob get chopped at wk 9 and maybe Blue God also.

The rest are kinda far behind if ya ask me.

I put in a horse shoe pit, stakes are 40 feet apart and the sand pits are 36"x48" (Official Size)
That's pretty far so I have to take 4 steps before I shoot one cause those shoes are heavy!

REGULATION SIZE: Meets official size and weight standards for consistent throws and traditional gameplay;
Each horseshoe measures 7.25 x 6.5 inches and weighs approximately 2 lbs..... (They sure seem heavier than that )

Green House Garden is doing well.
Almost ready for transplant to 5 gal. Cloth bags.
5 More seeds sprouted, I think they are peppers.
Peppers do well here. The biggest plants are the Cucumbers.

This Cucumber plant is in a 10 gal. cloth bag.

Discrepancies bother me, so I just take the average .

I’ll take 2 out by Saturday unless I could stand to wait longer I don’t think so but we’ll see.

The dark one is the mass Hydro controller 43 rating, the white bg is the Govee device reading.

I mainly use them for humidity readings.

The basement is where I’m going to dry these out at, going to use a net hanger.
I think the humidity is perfect for this although the temp is a little high, but it will have to do. With a small fan for some air movement.

Hey, I used to love playing horseshoes and drinking beer in the summer, We used to set to a golf course too with croquet mallets holes in difficult locations like in a sand trap or behind some bottles, knocking them over a penalty. A combination golf Croquet where if you touch up against another guys ball ( singular) you could whack it across the yard....That sound gay after reading...lol... we we're young...not gay....lol fun game none the less.

Week 9
Turned off the reds and the side lights.

Going to chop 2 plants today and put them in the hanging net.

White Truffles and Blue god are done.
I see enough amber to satisfy me.
The WF is smallish with small tiny colas. Different than any other plant.
Maybe with the exception of that fake C99. The red one last grow.
It was a mistake that was sent to me by accident, I'm sure.
I tried to look it up on the QCS site and found what looked like my "c99" but then
the next time I tried to find it, cause I forgot the name, it was gone.
Had a flowery name I think. Anyway that plant was great smoke so I hope this one is
cause there won't be much of it.

Blue God I've never grown but looks fantastic with big colas and flowers all the way down it's stem.
Looking forward to smoking these!

I took off the buds, so no stems in there.
Very frosty!

This plant was a low rider but heavy for it's size.

Week 10 almost apon me and I am going to chop on Sat/Sun.
I'll hang them up in the room so there's no problem with cats. haha
Leaving them on the staulk just picking the leaves off as much as possible.
Can't believe I'm on the finish line finally.
The crop is looking real good.
I turned the light down to 60% a few days ago.
Gonna run the tanks down and might just turn them off tonight.
Tomorrow night I'll unplug everything but the fans.
Then sometime Sat/Sun, I'll chop the last 4 down. 2 LSD - 2 Blue Dream.
Might leave them in the dark for an extra 24 hrs.

One of the main things I noticed is the small pots (2.2 gal.) suk lol
They grow smaller plants and smaller crops. Not worth it.
The 3.9's are a nice size and I like them but I have to buy 2 more.
6 plants are perfect for this light and this size room.
That means I need 2 more 3.9 gal. pots with all the accessories = $180 yipes!
Worth it tho. The 2 plants in the small 2.2 gal. pots were half the size of the others.
That and new side lights (AC Infinity ionbeam S16 $89?) and not sure if I'm changing nutes yet, which will cost bout the same
as the $77 for 10 lb's of Athena Bloom I would have to buy.
New soil too, not sure which one yet but prob another $50-60.

I love that MarsHydro Controller 43.
Nice to see what's going on in the room and adjusting the light, from my phone, with precision, is sweet.
Once I realized the Sunset/Sunrise was indeed working the whole time. haha

New light (MH FC-E8000) is the bomb, I really like it and my e bill was lower than my FC 4800.

Weed in the net is drying nice and slow, can't wait to try that sparkely White Truffle.

Harvest Finished at 10 wks
Chopped and hung, I did some leaf pickin' on the biggest one.
The 3 others were of similar size and weight but that huge LSD is 3 x as heavy.
Well it' s finished, now for the clean up.

It was a pretty good grow using Athena Pro product line.
I added in Cal-Mag and PK (I didn't see the PK working so well.)
2 plants are really bulky/chunky, they others did well too, with very little problems for me.
Easy too, cause hardly any maintenece at all. I only cleaned the tanks out once and they did not need it.
But will probably switch nutes because I think they can do better at finishing
Nov. is a way off so I'll wait til then to figure it out.

The light was a perfect fit for my room and 6 plants.
Next time I will use the sidelights earlier and will have some new ones too
and I'll have the timer I want for my UV's.
Plus 6 - 3.9 gal pots instead of 4 + 2 - 2.2g.

Had to turn on the humidirier today as the plants were not drying as they should.
Hummi just too high this time of year.
BG should be almost done but not. It's on the brink tho.
I should be able to put it in a grove bag by tomorrow.

Brought some RH control pads from Amazon, I think it was a good deal.

Cleaned all the pots an stuff plus the room needed vacuuming too.
These roots looked terrific! The others were similar but these were the best.



My guess it's the large LSD plant but could be BG both were exceptional plants.
Not sure why only one LSD did so well and the other good but not as good.
Same pots, same location (back of room) and same feed.
At this point I could smell which one is which.
BD is an obvious smell, I could not miss.
So is LSD which is more of a fuelly smell and BD smells, well, blue haha.
BG is also a dif smell more earthy to me.

Bagged White Truffles @ 22 grams wow hope it smokes good.
I knew it would be a low harvest but not that low haha.
Nice shiney crystaly buds tho.

But did not get any cola's really, small plant with sparse buds.
I got 3 more seeds so I might try again in a much larger pot.
Good thing is I got 3 more Blue God seeds!
I might pop 2 more next grow.

Thinking of taking a bike trip down to the Falls, up stream, Ito fish.
Wanting to go fo a long time so I might just do it.
Up past the rapids there is a small cove, I think they used it to dock the Coast Guard boat
or was it an Ice Breaker idk but nice place to throw in a line.

Never seen this one before, the Lion King
Hopped on my shed and slinkered down to check out the food.
Other cat took off and left the goodies to the big black cat.


Haven't seen it since.

Blue God
The results from BG were much better.
I popped the buds off the stems and bagged her today.
She was a nice plant with large buds all the way down.
Dry weight is 4.15 oz. which makes me very happy!

The other 4 plants hanging in the room will be dry enough to bag soon.
The weather is drying up here and so is my cellar room.
Turned off the hummi and turned down the fans. (76F/64%)

With a lot of relief, the MH 8000 6 pot grow is over.
Finished her up today, didn't want to wait, they were as dry as I wanted them.
No use to stretch it out for another 1% dryer.
So I clipped them and bagged them all today.
Hummi was going up again and I didn't want to fk with the humidifier.
8 days drying time.

Before I get to the pic's I want to say this grow was pretty easy for me.
I had a few hiccups but not many, I think I'm finally getting it.

The light was superb, excellent, beyond my wildest dreams!
Beyond, because it cost me less $ than the old FC4800 (480w) when this one has 800w.
Old bill = $250 New bill = $176
Granted I only used 80% of the lights total power most of the time and had it to 100% for only a wk, I think.
I guess it scared me a bit, all that power.
I'm going to krank it up to 100% for a longer period of time next grow. Only worries I have about that are seeds.
I believed my seedy problem started when I used too strong light during flower, maybe I'm wrong but will find out next grow.
It's size is impressive too. Takes up half my room and covers 6 plants easily.
The plants loved it, loved it and it showed.

Pots
Never will I use the small 2.2g pots again lol.
I'll have to buy 2 more 3.9g (x2 = $110) or jump to the bigger XL 6.6g pots (x 2 = $145 w/round air base)
Other than cleaning them out once to change the formula, from veg to flower, they were perfect.
No leaks, floods or drips.

Sidelights
I need more and they are coming out with better one's all the time.
Wish I installed them sooner tho and maybe just around 2 plants with what I had.

Results:
White Truffles = 22g
Blue God = 4.15 z
Blue Dream x 2 = 5 z
LSD x 2 = 12 z (10 z off one plant)

After all that is said and done, I still wonder why that one LSD plant produced 10 ounces, what did I do?
They all had the same feed and the same light source, but most finished at 2 ounces each, give or take. The only other exception was the blue God with 4 ounces, but that was a different strain.

That LSD plant was in the back right or left hand corner, not sure, not the center of the light like some of the others. Go figure.

I think this was my biggest harvest at 1 lb. 6 oz. I couldn’t be happier.

We got out of the house after my wife had a angiogram and a stint put in.
She felt so good I had a hard time keeping up with that scooter.
But main thing is getting her out of the house.
Rode all the way to the Falls and around the path to the gorge trail and
that was enough and we headed home.
Took about two hours.
Seen a few fishing spots further upstream then went to the Falls and it was crowded.
They still had all the fenceing up destroying the view.
From there we just went down the path. The scooter worked good!!
Took this pic of the Balloon Ride hahaha no way would I go up in that thing.
While I was taking a pic, she was zooming along.

Wear your helmet man, We almost lost old PC yesterday, head is still achy. My son and I took a small trail and hit some rocks, I stopped dead and fell over, no big deal right? just a small fall been there dun that a thousand times but bang I hit my head like I've never hit it before, a rock in the wrong place, I heard a Bang pop and I thought i was going unconscious. I wasn't sure if I was hurt or not, bike was on me , son lifted it off me and helped me up. He says you okay? I didn't know I was confused a bit. No blood other than elbow off so shake it off and off we go, another 1/4 mile same thing down I went no head bang but knees and hip. I'm too fkin old for that.

My helmet saved my life! I've never whacked my head so hard in my life and I've whacked it a lot in sports and bike accidents, through a car window once head first and it all pales to what I did yesterday. A temple whack and there's not much bone there, a good helmet attached securely did its job.

Glad you’re OK man wow yeah you gotta be careful. I don’t go on the rocky paths too much. The path we went down was very smooth, but it can happen.

It was a hard stop, I can't get over it, like nobody can possibly know how close that was to serious brain injury other than me and it scares the shit out of me. Too close to being no more so innocently too. It wasn't a major fall just a cartoon fall over but the whack at the end of it said smarten up. I gotta go take pics of where that was. I should have been able to handle the ride but I'm shit on the bike, my balance aint what it used to be.

Curing is going well in the bags with the new 62% RH control packs.
Smoked some of the White Truffles, was a good heady smoke that needs a little more cure time.
Cleaned em up a bit for the pic.
They all look really good but for a couple of random immature seeds found in the LSD.
Just in the nick of time cause I'm running real low on smoke..
Basically down to some C99 and some seedy Fruity OG and whatever else is already broke down in the jars I have.

Went fishin' with wifey down to the Niagara River down near the Falls right before the rapids.
We used to fish there long ago. Caught small Rock Bass, Sucker fish and Sheephead there.
Mostly Rock Bass or small mouth Bass, tho .
Something fun to do with no car yet and it gets boring around the house.
Nice day for fishing. Sunny but a bit too hot at 90 degrees F.
Didn't stay to long and went cruising up stream towards the Falls.

Still thinking on what to use for my next grow as far as nutes go.
Right now I'm looking at the General Hydroponic's stuff.
I'm going to dive deeper into that and see how complex or easy it is to use with the Auto Pots.
Another thing I'm thinking on is 4 or 6 pots?
Not sure at the moment. If I decide on 6, I have to buy 2 more 3.9g or 2 of the XL 6.6g pots.

The pot garden is coming along pretty good, even got some small tomatoes growin'.

It's so nice to read about good times like this. Awesome that your wife is feeling so good. It has to be miserable when you aren't getting the blood and oxygen circulated and at the levels we're built for.

I have a fear of heights, but have enjoyed the rush out some things I've made myself do way up in the above the ground. I'd be nervous, but bet I'd end up loving a balloon ride. The views have to be wonderful.

This is about as gnarly as I want to go haha.
The Gorge Trail is pretty rough with a lot of med to small rocks that can take you out in a sec.
I take it slow, no hot doggin' for me.
But the bike did great and traversed the rocky steep trail pretty good with no problems
going down or coming back up. The trail gets very steep 40 degree angle at times with a few
twists and turns thrown in. It's the clift to the right going down that terrifies me.
That drops down to the gorge below, maybe 200-300 ft drop off.
You start skidding and you're in big trouble.

I snatched them up before an alley cat or dog did anything.
So now I got to get them a home or keep them.
They running around the house now!
Hissin but no spittin' and only tail waggin' from Sky.
Wifey not feeling good today because of new meds.
She's not sure what to do either.
They are tooo small but the neighbor said he feeds them kibble and
I seen the mother, she comes to my backdoor for food or water.
So I think they are 5-8 wks old.

Hey, were back from Vegas, great trip but very expensive after all done. One of my biggest fears now is finding stray cats, We can't afford more but I'm a softy and there's no way I could turn 2 more away..lol..If they were black it would be a done deal but I'm fond of tabby's too...and as bonded pair??? we'd have 5 cats...lol... it would make my wife a bit overwhelmed but she'd cave eventually. I keep looking at cats for re- homing on Kijiji and I keep pointing out cute little ones to my wife and she's a hard no........ but a stay or 2???....lol...more litter boxes....
