Probably have to take it apart find that out for the guess or tinker with it...like I know you will....😉

i have extra pumps here. i'll probably hook up a small one, maybe rated like 400gph and hope it really pumps at 200.. i'm probably overthinking the heat from the little pump.

two more freakin power cords to run!!! haha

edit>> i got a tracking number already, shipping fedex.

Yeah I'm using a second pump because my recirc pump puts out too much volume. Cooling is more efficient with a slower rate of flow. Maybe it wouldn't make much of a difference with the oversized chiller?

My 1/10 keeps up just fine with my chiller pump in the control res. 35ish gallon system.

ahh i never thought of the volume of the recirc line.. damn and thats at 1" tubing too... i'd blow the seals right out of that chinese chiller!!!!

Yessir. They have a recommended flow rate. Not sure what yours will suggest. Maybe @ninjadip has his manual handy.

Those little low flow DC pumps won't add much heat at all to it.

I have a vivosun pump (not DC) in my RO res that NEVER shuts off... I never wired it to a switch and got tired of plugging it in when I needed RO. It's been running nonstop since I built the system last November. I've never had my RO hit the top-off res above 76 degrees with that pump just sitting in there spinning with no flow. It doesn’t stay at 76 for long once it's getting circulated.

it specs out a 264 gal/h flow.. i have a small pump thats around that. i think i was overthinking the heat from the pump.

it will be nice to not have to change out freezer packs, steadier and better on my plants too. plus i'm just waiting for one of those freezer packs to bust open and contaminate my rez!! you should here the popping and cracking when i drop one in there!!!

I don't have the determination for that kind of work. I went hydro to be LESS involved. I barely remember to keep my humidifier filled. I'm about to run a Tee off my RO line, before the float valve and after the pressure switch, to a seperate float valve in my humidifier. Get two birds stoned at once...

Moe saw me hitting 74 early on and was like "you really might want to consider a chiller" and I was like "Bet!"

In my humble beginnings, I was of the mind that the more money I threw at this, the less likely I was to give it all up. Now there's no way I'm stopping. Growing this shit is as much fun as smoking it. I know you know but... ya know?

A pump just for the chiller, should come with one specced to match what it needs. These are AC pumps that can make hot spots, if money isn't an issue you can replace when a DC pump like jecod/jeboao. I have one of these for my recirc, they are awesome.

This is the smallest model, i have a bigger one from a different setup that i have to turn to it's lowest setting not to make waves lol

i have one of those multispeed DC ones for my recirc. they're pretty sweeet!!!!

for now i'll just use a tiny birdbath pump that i have, i think it's spec;d to what they call for.

Same here, it's free, and nice to know when all of the sudden someone wants a signature upon delivery,but didn't mention it when ordered. The account allows you to reroute to a holding center if you can't be home that day

exactly!! and ya know i've never gotten a single solicitation or advertisement from them in any way! probably the only large company i signed up with and didn't get pitched something at least once a year.
