How do i get more flavor and better taste out of my buds

Everyone says my buds are top shelf, but taste and smell are lacking any ideas what i can do to improve this how does the dispensaries do it . Thanks for any help I can get Phil
I don't have any advice on enhancing flavor, but would love to know more about your greenhouse/structure. Looks like healthy plants and a wonderful space to garden in. I'm way behind on my wishlist of things to improve on my outdoor grow. One item on the list is to build some cover. Particularly for rain protection in late flower, but maybe even some pest protection throughout.

Hope you get some good ideas for enhancing flavor. It looks and sounds like you've got it down to just minor tweaks in the search for perfection. Good luck!

I agree with Bandit420. You seem to have a good handle on it.

I just wanted to know where you need improvement, by understanding what you are currently doing, and where you are now in your practices.

A friend of mine has the same grow, as your grow "looks like"...big, healthy and abundantly good on yield. BUT, his end product suffers from a little more effort not being applied.

No plant manipulation or topping/fimming. Little to no defoliation, as he can't keep up. No desire to take time to understand nutrients, just throw whatever on top of the ground, which is covered by garden fabric. And limited knowledge about drying, and no resources for a good dry, meaning a dry room, with environmental controls, which is necessary for the amount product requiring a dry. And, zero knowledge about curing.

Love this guy, but he is WAY to busy for the amount of work required to manage his grow. He is very smart too, so that's not the issue. Just too busy, and the priority is low on the list for him. So I do NOT fault him. He is VERY happy with his results and frequently consults with me for advice etc. But, mostly for reactionary reasons and not for preventative reasons.

NO JUDGMENT

I am still new and learning and your question is valid, and as Bandit420 said...you just need some tweaking, which may heavily fall into the Dry/Cure buckets of conversation and consideration.

Would love a detailed explanation of your grow space. I am putting in raised beds and there will be a dedicated spot for cannabis and I am interested in rainfall control and pest control. Some sort of way to prevent rainfall from touching my plants when necessary, as I control all inputs. And a way to screen in plants, to protect from pests, dirt, dust, anything that is floating in the air, for example cottonwood, then hopefully I won't have to wash buds...lol.

Anyways, your grow looks amazing. And, more pics of entire space and resources you used, to better understand construction etc. Lots more pics, lol.

Ok lets start with I made a mistake posting picture was showing that i have some experience in growing wasn't thinking at 72 you get that sometime lol. so, let me try to clear things up the picture is a couple years old, I don't grow outdoors anymore I was doing 12 plants in summer and 12 indoors in winter. Then found a journal from sshz after about a month of reading and lot of questions i changed the way i grow and quality and quantity increased substantially. I guess this would be a good time to give a shout out for all the great journals and the help he gives to people that ask him questions SSHZ has helped many people I just want to say thanks And please keep it up.

Hope this clears things up now back to better taste and smell when they are done flowering i cut branch of plant and hang for around five or six days until dry i think this is were i need improvement. Again Apologize for the long post and the misleading picture Any input will be appreciated I'll tell you the truth at 72 that's about the longest post I ever made LOL Thanks Phil

Hey, 73 here & there's a few of us old guys still growing and participating here. I can never get optimal dry conditions. I can get my RH to 60-62% but I can never get 60-62f so I over dry my weed then Grove bag it with size #67/62% humidity packs. I've found 2 of the packs in 1/4lb bags brings back the moisture and smell in my buds. Its not ideal but its the best way I've found in my 30 odd years of growing and drying indoors.

Lol, Im starting to feel like a youngster here at 69.......

I'm convinced the UVB lighting I'm using has a big impact on taste and smell.......more resin= more of everything else.

I'm not sure I've helped people with the quality component but many, many people who have adopted my style have reported big yield increases overall. I remember when things got serious over at the Farm and everyone was calling "bullshit" to my final yield numbers- now I never hear a peep as many others are equaling or surpassing my figures.

Thanks EPC111 for the kind words..........

def the light plays a crucial part for sure But i do think it’s in there genetics mostly..

I just purchased 2 of these 1oz Cvaults. I'll see if there's any difference between them and everything else I've tried. I'll keep 1 and 1 for a Christmas gift pack.
