you probabaly got it now but yeah just on your rez.. put the chiller pump in there at the bottom and put the chiller return in the rez near the top. you could always use a waterfall effect to provide O2 and skip the air stone...

I was already thinking about that and what I was going to do , I'll give that a shot tomorrow... for now Autopilot is working....

You have great tap water! Can't see too well but looks like PPM/TDS vs EC on the 500 scale, same result just different ways to measure like inch vs mm

Thanks brother.....I thought that was the same but wasn't 💯%...

Reservoir pump showed up yesterday, now comes the installation..... can't think about it to much right now or I'll overload my pea brain.....

Well while I'm thinking about it, we're using the 500 scale? Instead of that 700 Australian bull crappy...

That's right I said it....🤠🤣
 
Haha.bullets aren’t reaching 🤣.agree with Grumps…I do use the 500 scale though 1759072576292.gif .all 3 are pretty much used here than just the 700scale or whatever the hell your nute chart is refering to but I don’t go by their recommendation ..most companies want you overfeeding so your back buying more..

So my blue lab pH prob instructions say to soak in either 4 or 10 solution four calibration. I'm going to guess this is that 5 or 700 scale thing, or something else?

Got an update coming...called off pool league tonight so I'll have some time to get up, the cube is just chilling out

you want to calibrate with 4 and 7 solution. if you were measuring higher you would go with 7 and 10 but for us growers we want 4 and 7 calibration. 7 first and 4 second i believe, don't quote me go by bluelabs.. they're super easy to calibrate though.

I didn't see where it deciphered between the two, I'll read it again and double check for sure I just got a lot going on right now trying to get out of here for Elk camp.

500 and 700 are settings for the TDS/EC meter.
4/7/10 is for your pH meter.
Using both the 4 and 10 separately lets you know if your pH meter is accurate.
They tend to wander if not stored properly.

Those clear lines are just ro testing the chiller. I'm not running it, heater seems to keep it within reason, hard to say yet if it's gonna keep up when the cold comes
System is in, and I ended up doing a heavy flood as ld let them dry back before switching them over, working on 3rd day not needing water..

There on the Strawberry Fields. After thinking about it rather than make any changes i stayed with it, everything seems good at a higher ph. I'm waiting for the lights to come out in a couple hours to see if we need another flood before i take off. I screened-em...20250930_150105.jpg
Had some snapping on a couple, I waited to long, couldn't be helped.
I know I need to flip, but it's probably gonna have to wait. At least now I know that there not going threw the light while I'm not here.
I'll come in and check on them, be nice if I could get 3 days, by the the dehumidifier bucket will need emptying.

The other side needs flipping as well

That back on is a little slow. I don't think it likes that many hours of light. It quits a couple hours before the light goes off.
Will flip it soon....

I don't know shit, but even I can tell that you have set up a very nice grow space. Very nice!
 
Gonna be a tree farm dude!
Does the controller have a timer override so you can turn it off and on manually to flood early or is it like the old kind where I had to unplug it then plug it back in a few days later when it was time to flood.
Later on the floods will be more frequent but until root fill the bag it may be as little as one flood per week.

It's has a manual, switch to drain and flood, and in the middle position it's timed.
Barely had enough room in those bags for 2gls....we'll really about 1-1/2 as far as the size of the root ball, shouldn't take long, they were only in them a couple days and the were punching roots out the bottom.

I went with a fish tank rock on the bottom

With the weight of the plant alone was " probably " enough, but probably wasn't good enough!

if there's not much light back where your chiller is the clear tube is no biggie, it's only for algae growth.

did you flip to flower?

No i didn't, not yet. I was going to and then I was fiddlen around with the hoses and the pump in the brain bucket started sifiing spell check....any way it kept running so I pulled the pump and put a new hose, a little shorter so I was almost shoulder deep in the res.
And it was either change the water and add food or wait, while I was fiddlen around I almost had an oops moment, I cought the buckets filling ,I'd switched it to fill and had no hose on the return......caught just in time before it just flooded the tent....in my mind it was flooding the tent...hahaha

Anyway ya I'm rambling....long day I'm in elk camp now opener is Saturday. Depending on what I find in the morning, I might sneak home and,.......fk...can't do the res change well I could but it would be a waste of effort cuz they probably won't need anything for a minute, hahaha...but i can run home and switch the timers. See how it goes...ya I thought I'd need to be there for the first couple days of flower, but that's stupid....
I'll probably go do that, at least Sunday night that's when I'd planed i garden trip check, if I don't have meat on the ground...looking at a good spot, I was going into another ramble...here....

can't you just shoot the elk from your place? get those fuckers that break your fence!!

Nah man...those elk at the house are really kinda pets IMO..bow hunter got one and there's only one legal bull left and the local hunters if you can call guys that run to field to field and piss of the owners will push them to a area where they can gettem

Anyway, yeah they run away! The cows will see ya at some point there the ones a guy needs to worry about the bull just want the cows. I ran elk hard enough to were mouths are panting like a dogs, and the bulls didn't care at all...

Taste like chicken....😋

i did a lot of driving (pushing) as youngin.. i always had way too much energy to sit there all quiet anyway!!!! i still can't.. to this day i don't call those guys hunters, i call em "sit-n-waiters". my neighbor is a sit n waiter.. has a stand next to a trail and just sits there for hours on end waiting a deer to walk by.. i tell him every year we ain't time for this shit c'mon lets go find em!!

nah, i meant the mountain lion.. do they spook and run away? like we have bear that could kill ya in one second but they're mostly afraid of us and run away at an instant. (for the most part.. i mean bears still kill people)

did ya ever hear about the bear that killed the lumberjack? no? thats because it doesn't happen!!! thats right just carry a chainsaw with ya!!! hehe

Yeah they pretty much take off right away at least the ones I've seen have been running.
I worry more about bears to be honest. Can't see them all the time, and if you walk up on one of those you better be ready cus they won't run. Fuckers!...

Years back...I was scouting elk in a swamp buddies and I had 2way radios, we agree to a meet place, I come up out of the swamp a bit had a sammy and waited for him to meet me, now we're still in the timber. I sit down kinda and we were talking it didn't take him long to me me after I got to the spot...like maybe 5 minutes, pretty quick his eyes got like 50cent pieces....NEXT Thing I see is his gun come up and boom! ...shot a 300lbs+ bear about 20 yards behind my back! No joke, that was the last day I ever went out without a bear tag.

Black bear will mess you up, for real.i don't hunt some places because of it...

Found some fresh tracks tonight, see what I find inthe morning
