Coffee

IMG_7907.jpeg
@Stoneyluv i opened the Grizzly Claw last night. Unfortunately my wife decided to help and poured the coffee without telling me. She added cinnamon without asking me first. So I wasn’t able to give any feedback.

I’m trying again this morning, no cinnamon.

It’s not as thick on the tongue. Taste is lighter. No bitterness up front or after. Reminds me of a diner coffee.

So far the best has been the Kick Ass. I think the other good one is called something like Three Sisters. This is based on the two they keep stocking the most of. I want to try that one next if I can remember to pick it up next weekend.

I just ordered a French press with my Amzone order, We've been kureging coffee for a long time now. I'm ready for a change.

@Beachwalker

I’ve noticed you’ve had a few different women wearing your same shirt. Some in the same week. Quite the stud sir. That or you have a lot of missing person posters in your neighbourhood. 😝

All these women hang out at the 2:00 a.m. Cafe, where the clothing requirements are very relaxed! 😉

I don’t do a lot of coffee these days. But if I do I want to be half decent. The kureg pods are okay if you want a coffee quick. Same goes for Tim’s or McD.

But if you want some good coffee and don’t want to go to the trouble of the old percolated kettle the French press is a nice and cheap alternative.

The amount of beans and water along with the grind can really make a difference.

When they say how many cups it makes they are not talking coffee cups. 🤣 We have a large one and it does three coffee cups perfectly.

So we had an after dinner cup of Joe. Tried the Grizzly Claw again with nothing but cream/milk and honey.

It’s not bitter. It’s not strong but it’s noticeable. Earthy. Lingers on the tongue.

We like a strong cup in the morning but this was good for after dinner. It goes well with cinnamon if you’re into that.

You're going to want a fairly coarse grind for a French press

I have one I use during power outages to make coffee in the wood stove because with everything I have to handle power outages the one thing I was missing was a way to make coffee, so my French Press is a lifesaver!

prime has a decent cyber monday sale on the three sisters, at just sixty nine cents an ounce i bought two bags... it says notes of stone fruit and cocoa. sounds like something i would like. i mean i'm a stoned fruit and a little coocoo myself!! hahahahaha

No judgement. 🤣

All the different bags have been on sale a month or more. Regular $20 a bag they are now $15.

Let me know what you think about the three sisters. I’ll be looking to pick one up next Saturday.

Wish you had the link but it looks like Amazon. I’ll see what CNDs get charged.

The best price I can find for the 1lbs bags we get is $23, so $15 in store is pretty good.
