A Turkey In The Hay 🦃

It's snowing heavy right now, we're getting two or three inches today, I've got to get the roof scraped down before Monday cuz we're getting one of those 34°, blizzards, 10 in of heavy wet snowman snow ☃️

That new 24 ft. roof scraper is a blessing, I don't have to climb the ladder to scrape anymore.

It's still not the easiest thing in the world but it gets the job done from the ground and that's a big win for the good guys! 🏆

Hit my second mark on the firewood pile in the garage today

The first mark was to hit the not so pretty wood left over from 23 in the middle of December, I hit it on the 18th

The second mark was to hit the hornbeam (ironwood) the last week in December when temps usually dive down here, and I just hit it today! 😁🏆

That's amazing. You must really have the weather figured out and know your wood heating system like the back of your hand to calculate and hit those targets. Weather is all over the place down here. We've had snow and freezing temps, but we had a sudden shift and I was able to wear a t-shit outside on Christmas Eve. I haven't paid attention to the forecast, but my mother-in-law said temps are supposed to drop again, soon.

Thanks, I'm kind of surprised myself! My next Benchmark is whether I'll have enough wood to get thru the season, still not sure on that one. Hope you had a great Christmas
 
Our big storm Monday has been downgraded to a coating to 2" but they're warning of an ice storm, which means I'll be growing cannabis by candle light again🤦🏻, well by lantern, but I like to say candle 🕯 light, sounds more medieval
 
The fear-porn is already at a fevered pitch for Monday's storm! Even tho we're getting less than 2 in. of snow, apparently a half inch of that is going to be ice, so yeah the power will be out. Prayers for those forced to be on the roads 🙏🏻 be safe!20251225_122644.jpg
 
We got about 8 inches overnight Friday.
Staying pretty much frigid till tomorrow when the storm with possible ice/rain arrives.
At least it is really winter now~!

Oh ya, winter's full on now! We get the cold next week 🥶

Another couple months and then it starts getting better, I'm already making plans for this year's vegetable garden

Be safe if you have to go out! They tell me that I'm right on the line too, but it's snowing pretty hard right now. I don't have to go anywhere today so...

I reckon I'm going to lose power at some point, hell I lose power in the summer if there's enough wind 🤣
 
I have no plans on going anywhere until it melts.
I may go get my paycheck from Friday[ which I also did not work] as it has my Xmas bonus included.
Having all this time off is crazy to me.
I don't mind going to work, I actually kind of enjoy it~!
It is easier to enjoy when you kind of choose your schedule.
The weather makes me think I may only get 2 days in this week before the holiday thing again~!

I went out to get a cart of wood and I got soaked, I'm not going to try to snow blow one inch of ...I don't even know what it is slush or ice some of it's frozen some of it's melting, I reckon even more will melt. I'm going to let it turn into a skating rink like every other year cuz I've got crampons
 
One more Kahlua coffee and then I'm going to shake some Keif for Hashish

I just finished my last chunk, scraped down my mason jar with a silicone spatula Christmas Day and this was the end of it.

Looked at the White rhino closely tonight, 3 weeks more would be the most they need to finish. I can start the new seeds anytime now, I'll make a separate grow Journal

Yup, well I didn't do any of that, I went right to sleep! 🤣🤣😂

Well I did some of it, I checked the White Rhino, but I forgot pictures. White Rhino buds are freaking beautiful! Can't wait to put some juicy bud-porn up in the new year!

Watered, trying to figure out which PPM meter works until the new one gets here in a week 🤔 I know how to mix it by recipe, and then cutting it 2 to 1 gives me about 625ppm, and I have one meter that's giving me that reading

Getting the pots ready today and wetting the seeds tomorrow, because I don't want them to crack til 2026 🎉🥳🥂

Got to shake some kif today too, I'm still smoking on my last chunk but it was pretty big


I probably won't do any of this...✌🏻🤣
 
The cold is sure here, 15° now but the howling wind is giving me a -4 wind chill temp

Thursday through Monday is going to be below zero every night and single digits to low teens in the day, I brought a lot of wood up to deck today, should last till the weekend

I had a piece of wood last night sitting on a bed of red hot coals that I couldn't light on fire with six pieces of fat wood underneath it, & three or four hits with the torch.

Eventually I had to put three other pieces of wood in there to get it going, and they all burnt down before that one too.

I've mentioned before I've run into a piece like that every now and then that just won't burn 🤷🏻

I had to take the smoke detector in the room down while I worked on it, there was so much smoke in the house my eyes were burning but I was determined to get that son of a bitch burning

I was already past time (the daylight savings change) on changing their batteries anyway so all the smoke detectors got changed last night while I was at it ...all the while with me swearing under my breath at that piece of wood 🤬

So the Keif is in the Press heating up on the stove, I find the heat makes it more malleable when I press it

Just a guess but I think I got close to three grams of seed stockers Blackberry Gum hash in an hour, not bad. It's not the pain in the ass of shaking it it's the allergies 🤧 I have to take Benadryl when I make hash or trim plants, or else forget about it !!20251230_161030.jpg

Just found out my next door neighbor crashed today, can't tell if his trailer with that brand new blue tractor hit that house or not?

He lives about a half mile up the hill and I think this happened about a mile and a half further up the hill

Our hill has some really exciting roller coaster dips and a couple of steep climbs too, cover it all in ice and it's a good time for all ...not!

Not sure what they use on the roads here but because the lake is about a hundred yards behind that house they don't use the good stuff that really melts it, so it's a sheet of ice out here.Screenshot_20251231_193148_Facebook.jpg
