Ehhh my sister is weird AF. I think we were both dropped on our heads when we were little but she was dropped twice.
Also in my package, a business card from her friend. Only my sister would gift somebody a business card man.
I think it's that damn town she lives in too. Ferndale, Ca. It's why I have a strong dislike for small towns.

Friday Xmas was the first thing I played after Thanksgiving haha

Thanks for linking that stuff...First time I've looked at it and already have the plug in my cart. Will use that for my UV instead of the ACI plug and probably unload those ACI plugs on ebay. I don't trust them.

I can see using the water timer out back too.
Water collection and conservation will be a priority as I expand more into growing food this year.
Would really love to have some rain collection and solar powered pump and air purifying out there.
Ecowitt gear is just nails as far as what I need.




Moving these into the big tray with big bags tomorrow and flipping them early.
Will continue veg nutes and will also top or prune all the way up until I see pistils
Basically, a manipulation of food and lights on time to still veg but do it with a 12/12 light cycle.

First thing I'd say is don't waste money on the hot knife because there's a hack!!!

Here's my blade and there are many like it. What you're looking for is the 510 thread which is the same as any cart so you can use cart batteries to power up your hot knife

I'm trying to completely move away from hydroton and similar mediums in my Mother-dro setup. I like the mediumless approach I've taken with my clones, but I'm looking for a similar route to take with seedlings.

I could try it myself, but I sent my VG to someone for a contest win or something similar. I want to ask one of ya'll to print one for me but not if you don't think it would work...

That's what I did in the HPA tote.

VG straight to a neo collar, after the seedling stem hardens slightly, I'd loosen the collar a little so it doesn't squeeze the little thin stem too much.

"Mediumless" is the way to go.

No dust, no particles, clean.

yeah ya can... we've gone from vertical germination to collars.. this was even before we owned 3D printers!! hehe .. Bandit has been doing VG since before bluray was even was a thing!!! .. prolly around the same time collars came out!! haha

a little root trimming and you'll have them tearing right of the collars!!!!

The only medium that's tricky are rockwool cubes because the cube needs to be split in half and opened up like a clam shell.

But really, it was designed with the purpose to replace rockwool cubes, starter plugs, solo cups, starter trays and everything else in regards to starting seeds and can be held by a collar, held up by hydroton in a net cup, and obviously any soil or soilless medium. It's universal to all types of growing and any kind of seed that will fit. Popped all sorts of other plant types in them too.

I've had a boner for Montana Knife Company blades for a few years now. Price has always made me shy away. Most of their blades are for skinning and hunters but they have a few pieces for the kitchen too.
This one has been on my radar forever it seems but it always sells out fast and even if I can get it, will set me back $350 and I just can't do it but I so very much want to

Damn thats a nice one, im a sucker for most things that are black and orange. I like how the blade is cut the opposite of a normal knife, its almost like a Santoku style blade.

i still have that VG you sent me to give out... red n black i think.. i still use the V2 XL, i still have the files saved on my tinker if ya ever want them. and i have the raw files saved on my hard drive and on a back up hard drive and on another back up... hahaha i lost files a long time ago and have been anal about backups ever since.. i plan to never lose another single byte off data ever again. haha

i've printed a handful of those new V3 styles but none were for me, i have one of the smaller six sprout ones though!! neon green!!!! but yes, the rest are black!! the best color of all!!!

I feel like the design with the heat mat backpack is over engineered. It's super ez to add on but not needed and really, could get the thing too hot.
I've used it a few times and it gets to be more hassle with the cord for me than anything so when I do use that VG, I skip the heater.
A normal heat mat can be used with or without a controller.
I prefer my space to be set rather warm and not use any sort of heat mat if I can. I find that if the room temp is around 82-85, an ideal temp inside the germinator will be met about 5-10 degrees cooler than the room and in 3-5 days, there will be 100mm sprouts with heads up and no helmets.

A dome could be used to keep it warm as well but I've always been about going minimalist.. That's also how it got to be single wall...just trying to simplify as much as possible.

I have several done in different colors and sizes and maybe some old designs too.
The lighted dab bar is a work in progress but I'm thinking either USB or battery. TPU base with transparent everything else so it will glow and be all trippy next to the light up e rigs.
