Ruben from lumatek got back to me regarding some questions I asked..didn’t really tell me much so I’ll give him another buzz and try an different approach.I’m more interested in what the nxt light will b in the 600w range .the apollo is 550w and only 1.2 x1.2 coverage..I wouldn’t mind one that covers an 6x6 ,7 bars 700w..

Lumatek is now working with domestic diodes, with a big percentage of Lumileds, which have been tested over the last few years, which guarantees outstanding performance.
An example of this is the Apollo Series 2.8. Regarding the 3.1 range, it was the last one to use Samsung diodes.

It could b awhile before they make their nxt 600+ watt fixture or what they are going to do nxt.. .the 2.7 I have still throws it down .so the 2.9 would b even better.it goes to show you don’t need anymore than 2.7 umol/j . over 5x4 area area as that’s what my first grow room was.not using a ft at the front for heater .dehuey and fans..still same light in new room which is 1.7 wide by 1.8 deep but not using a ft at the front .i have a new lumatek 465 2.9 coming for the veg room so once 5 weeks veg is up I can leave them in there for the first 2-3 weeks of flower .then throw them in the big room..just so I can have a quicker turnaround..

Just WOW.got a message from the grow shop saying that the light I ordered has been discontinued,after I told them a couple days ago that the Australian lumatek importer can’t get them anymore ..lol.don’t they look in there shop to see if they have the light before I purchase it.been talking to them for 2 days lol.then asked me do I want the 3.1..and I told them I thought I bought a 2.9 from other retailer but they sent me the 3.1 and i sent that back..it’s kinda funny .they don’t listen.don’t look and don’t read lmao .fucken hopeless.

The new rooms has been put to the test last few days with the bloody rain ,the rh is holding steady though. going better than I thought it would.feels like we are back in winter…looks out window…well waddayaknow,it is winter …in spring ..back to the mid 20’s on the weekend..we get 4 seasons in one day .spose that’s what to expect living on Gillian’s island.

That’s a nice Antarctic blast we have had last few days.still snowing up in the mountains last night..They are very lucky ha,getting treated like little princesses. .the plant what I gave a friend hasn’t faired well at all being outside,but he has a black thumb lol.I’ve never seen the weather so unpredictable this year with El Niño in the pacific must b to blame.we have had a warmer than average winter,good rainfall and more is expected over summer.the lawns going to b green at Christmas

Was starting to see a little tacoeing on the top leaves on the back left girl yesterday so I’ve moved the light up a couple inches.I lowered her legs too.still only at 20 so tomorrow I’ll take the middle plant out so I can get in there better to do it.some nice orange,forward terps off the rub .kinda smells like fruit in there lights off .ive started giving them some carbohydrates in the form of canna boost at 1/4 strength .20-40 ml they say is optimal by there recommendation to 10 litres.it’s dear shit and isn’t going to last giving them that amount so I prefer 10ml to 10 litres .a little is better than nothing.stretch it out abit.getting close to 5 weeks with 6+ to go so might start the nxt batch off soon.maybe some of Jeff’s Maui skunk dog x Orange dreams aKa Charlie’s stank ass ..this shits offensive and reeks of bo .

Looking at trying out some bio coco 365 but doesn’t look like we have it in aust.strange really as this product meets bio security import conditions more than the other bagged coco coir on the market here..

what you think of those products I mentioned above from bio 365 .they seem to go above all others in keeping the product clean from pathogens ,insects etc.have you ever thought of trying there products.just a couple bags and compare to the media you use... im just about to look on there blog and have a read. .

Yes even good for beginners to read on the basics when considering pot size and media used and all what they talk on..they even have media for small grows and soil growers .I wouldn’t mind tying higher fertigation and set it up automatically .but that will never happen.im past that time lol..I’m no young whipper snipper anymore but I’m keen to try some of there bag mixes though.

5 weeks gone.not really where I want them to b but if you say we have 6 more weeks till chop then they arnt too bad .I’ve ran some cannazyme through to clean the roots up .I’ve lowered the feed abit too as I have tip burn and looking pretty dark so hopefully the cannazyme can wash out a little salts .the runoff is 50-100 what’s going in .that’s acceptable but you don’t want it climbing anymore than that so I’ll back the nutes off a little..I’m only going by this old truncheon I’ve had for long time so unsure if those reading are correct.you wouldn’t think you’d get tip burn at 600 with the size of the majority in there but that little bit of buildup could b doing it.
Was going to try some sunset sherbet nxt but they didn’t show there tails but the orange dreams x celestial dragon did.there will b 1 of orange dreams s1 and 1 peanut butter breath x orange dreams (reversal).keen to see how that goes.group shot.
