Has anyone used the 1 lb bags with good success or would it be best to use 1/4 lb bags? I seem to remember someone mentioning that the 1 lb bags didn't work as well as the 1/4 lb bags.

Also, would you recommend a wood moisture meter to check dryness? Any you recommend? Saw this one on Amazon and I like how compact it is.

 
i have a one pounder about 80% full right now. it is my first time using grove bags or any bags. the one pounder bud seems exactly the same as the smaller bags. no difference to me at all.

smokers don't need meters and gauges. we all know how we like our weed. some like it dry and some not. never really found a need to measure it.

I use 1/4lb bags. I use a wood moisture meter from Lowes

I have several 1 lb. bags in use and they all are fine, no sealed bags, just "Zipped up", then a client or patient will request my lineup, Mean Tree, Masonic, Baja Blast, Mosca, Biscotti Ice cream, mosca, Supreme Planet,Mosca. I like the Grove "Terp-loc" bags and continue to use and buy them, impressive to customers as well. costly but impressive SS
 
it took me four plants to fill that thing!!! 😆
 
I just bagged my harvest a couple days ago. I ordered some 1lb bags to use, and when they arrived I realized they were kinda big and had some 1/2 pound bags, so I used 6x 1/2 pounders to not have all my eggs in one basket.

I wish they would label their bags with the size. I have a variety of different sizes and not sure what it what.

I got 2.65lbs after 10 day dry at 60F/60RH. My best 2 plant yield to date - not bad for autos. Only my 3rd grow.

i agree, had to look up my orders to even see if i had the pound bag or not.. sure doesn't look like a pound, but i never weighed it to know for sure.
 
Velvet touch...terp loc...child resistant zipper...This is the way 😋

I prefer several 1/4lb size for extraction stash and 2oz for monthly supply quantities. The longer it stays closed up the better IMO so I wouldn't be a fan of putting my entire haul in one bag then opening it all the time to get my daily stash out

For those who don't know, the child resistant zipper is better sealing than the regular zipper and there's no need for heat seal with it

Their website is as glitchy as it comes lately. The shipping rates surge and drop for whatever reason and sometimes some types of bags do not show then you go back the next day and they're there

just wanted to add that I love these bags they work well. I wonder how much they charge to make custom bags, would be really cool to get some Panama red bags for my next batch
 
I use the 1/4lb bags and size #72 @ 62% boveda packs. With the packs I can open daily for my smoke and whats in my bags stays sticky moist, without them it dries up. I have a few 1-lb bags but I don't get enough of 1 strain to fill them. I know it says not to over fill them but I can get 6oz in 1/4lb bags without them bulging at the seams.

Standard Mylar backs will not allow any air, especially moisture, to move in or out of the packaging. In addition, the food storage bags are made to prevent any oxidation or biological development inside the package.

The pro for the Grove bags comes from the Cannabis industry, which can regulate their dry goods by using bags that can keep the buds supple instead of dry and crumbling.
The difference will come with when the packaging is holding a product, which will make the Grover bags a little more difficult to maintain due to the permeability, which will allow the immediate environment and seasonal elements to affect the contents inside.
 
Ive used them in the past, and while they do work, I just stick to mason jars now. Easier to fill and store, and unscrewing the caps to burp them only takes a few minutes, and they’re much easier to clean, and last way longer.

Around here weed doesn't stay in their containers long. I'd probably use one of the jars I have for curing and pour out whatever we'll be smoking for the next few weeks. I can usually fit around 1/4P in a large pickle jar. 1/4P will last almost 3 weeks.
