Hey everyone, welcome to my 2026 journal, and thanks for checking it out. This season is going to be a very busy one, and I hope to be able to share the rollercoaster that is my reproductions/breeding projects. So heres a quick update to catch everyone up. Over the winter I upgraded my little 6 x 8 greenhouse for seed production, adding tables, fans and a heat mat under a capillary mat to allow me to make seeds all year. Now that the weather is warming up here in California, its time to expand and start doing some larger projects taking advantage of that wonderful summer sun. My method involves running seeds indoors 12/12 from seedling, and putting choice males/pollinated females outside to finish under the sun, regardless of the light cycle. It allows more space to pop new things indoors and keep the process moving as quickly as possible. Theres also some peppers and veggie starts on the right table, some overwintered peppers on the floor, as well as some choice females getting the reveg treatment in the corner. Its not looking too full yet, but the plan is to get it very full very soon.

And heres the same greenie last fall in Jungle-mode

The main projects Im focusing on this season are larger open pollinations of Bodhi gear for Bodhi Apocalypse Vault(BAV), as well as line working/making selections of old Neville NL/Hashplant indica variations, and of course working on some beloved chem and diesel lines. Currently the seedout-table is loaded up with Some Hunza Valley 91 from Lucky Dog, chasing that Neville HP/chem recombination with the seeds almost ripe. Some Chem91 x Sensi Star from Doc D that recently got seeded, as well as some Lavender Lemonade x Hashplant D from Bodhi currently dropping pollen. I make a lot of F2s based on F1 populations that have traits I really enjoy, but are more of a fun side mission to my main projects.

The current main projects are hunting through about 70 Berry White x Snow Lotus seeds I made way back in 2018 from hitting my best commercial cropper cuts from my deps in Santa Cruz with snow lotus to try to preserve them in seed. I made the F2s last fall, and just did some testers and should have F3s sooner than later. Berry White seems to have gotten lost with time, but the distinct bubblegum flavor and really euphoric high has passed really well into the F2 population, not to mention some really nice yields. Just like the old clone we loved so much.

And here's a dep greenie stacked with Berry White circa 2018.

I also just planted a tray of some F2s made by my local buddy grotebag of an F1 cross I made of my beloved Lav mom x Neroli91 in attempts to stabilize a really amazing 50/50 diesel/chem and lavender pheno with unrelenting potency and very nice yields. In addition, I popped/potted up 11 seeds of DLA 14(Jalalabad x 88g13hp) from Bodhi for my first BAV reproduction of 2026. Instead of my usually 12/12 from seedling method, these will get vegged a good 4-6 weeks to get a good stock of seeds to share with BAV and anyone interested. I personally really love those ghani x ghani crosses, and I have a hunch these are going to be no exception. Aside from this general outline, I will be constantly popping new stuff made by myself, breeders, friends, and breeder-friends lol. So at any point there can and likely will be other stuff popping into the rotation as I hunt them out and make some pollen fly. And for anyone interested in my day-to-day SOPs, here's my cheat sheet that explains exactly what I do

Really glad to see you posting this here, Boogie. I’ve learned a ton from watching your grows and I’m excited to see the magic unfold again. Wherever you document your work, I’ll be following along. Appreciate you continuing to share with the community.

My apologies for the delayed update. The last month has been extremely busy with trying to get everything up and running for the season. As well as doing a bunch of upgrades that I've been putting off over the winter. The main project has been getting my greenhouse irrigation upgraded to be able to work with capillary mats. I normally use blumat surface sensors, but they require a rez sitting in the heat, or hose line that's always on. And I know in the summer, cool water is vital to keeping stuff as happy as possible. So instead, I'm using some 1/8th inch soaker hose I made into a simple manifold prototype that I will run on a basic manual hose timer in line with a pressure reducer and carbon filter. I have the lines all intentionally loose, so if any of my dog homies decide to kick it around while running past, everything has several feet of give. And hopefully no blown irrigation connections. I've also just upgraded some circulation fans in the tents, as well as completely reorganized my tea/nutes/foliar, added a new shelving rack, and did some spring cleaning of the grow space overall.

As for reproductions, the weather is just starting to warm up, so the seed making process is sped up quite a bit. Since last month I have harvested a number of seeded Chem91 x Sensi Star’s from Doc D. As well as some Hunza Valley 91’s from Lucky Dog to check out. They both have really killer old school hashplant/NL traits that I find irresistible in cannabis.

The DLA 14 plants have since been put under 12/12 after about 3 weeks of veg from seed, and just showed sex/got potted up this week. I potted the females to 1 per pot, and stuck multiple males per pot, mostly to save space. It's a trick I've been doing a good bit lately, and really enjoy how it works out. They look about a week from the males starting to drop pollen. So a couple days before that I'll put them outside in the greenhouse, and bring the females out periodically to catch some pollen without messing up their light cycle. But once they're fully seeded, they'll stay outside to finish out.

As for the BW x SL project, I narrowed it down to 6 females and 5 males. Trying to chase down the pheno that is almost exactly like the original clone, as well as one that flowers a good bit longer, and has more of a snow lotus cool cerebral influence. I've been smoking testers of both a good bit, and found them both worth chasing. So I intentionally let all the males/females of the smaller BW learners seed out together, then let the bigger ones catch pollen about a week later. It's kind of a pain to juggle multiple angles in the same project, but oftentimes worth it in the end. They are all visibly very seeded, and I expect them to be ready within just a few more weeks. Just like all the seeded plants I run, I will let them go until the plants basically die on the vine.

Speaking of dying on the vine, The HP D x Lav Lemonade seeded females are just about dead on the vine now. They're not a thing of beauty to look at. But the nice ripe seeds make it very worth it. The sensi testers from the same batch have been absolutely killer. I've been really impressed(and so have my buddies I make tests for me) how much it has that intense sweet flavor, but just a mule kick of potency. Definitely not one I would recommend for daytime smoke.
IMG_5001.jpg

I've also been running testers of HPD F2s I made last fall,, and it seems to carry that same relentless potency. But with a classic Puck/hashplant flavor vs the sweet Z flavor Lav Lemon seems to give. I was really interested to see how those new Bodhi Yab Yum crosses came out. And most of them have been really impressive. I've ran many sweet plants in my tenure growing, but very rarely do I find ones with that much flavor paired with that much potency.

Up next on the docket is something really special that I am extremely excited to be able to share with folks. Every year Bodhi sends BAV special and old packs to F2/share. But this year he did something even more over the top with kindness and sent a bag of about 60 Tranquil Elephantizer(Snow Lotus x G13HP) to reproduce. The seeds are no doubt pretty old, but I have been able to get 16 up and into soil. With a couple more potential ones sprouting now. It's not the best return, but plenty enough to save the line! They are growing pretty slowly as expected. So for now, they're hanging out in the veg tent under a HLG Saber 150 so they can take their sweet time. I do plan on vegging these a good bit longer than normal to try to get as many seeds as possible. But in my experience doing repros on old beans, there's kind of a point of diminishing returns past a certain size. So I will keep a super close eye on them,, and make sure they're staying nice and happy until it's time to flip.
IMG_4956.jpgIMG_4983.jpg

Another fun little experimental side project I'm playing with right now is what I call project in a pot. I took all the nice males/females from Chem D x PuckBx from Crickets and Cicada and potted them all up into a 5 gallon pot once they showed sex. Then did a super low tech light dep for a couple weeks by keeping them outside in the day. Then putting them inside a dark area of the garage at 6pm until dark, and putting them back outside. This time of year the plants aren’t going to grow to their maximum potential. But it does allow me to make some F2s quick and easy.
IMG_4953.jpg

Also, here’s another fun little trick I do now that it's warm enough to keep plants outside. I normally keep my inside mother plants in 1 gallon pots, but on sunny days I put them outside to catch some natural sun and stay real healthy. But oftentimes the other clones will get kinda pissy and wonky over the winter months. So the trick I've been doing for many years is make sure the majority of the light they get is from the sun. Luckily they need very little to stay vegging outside. My solution is nothing more than a simple LED solar spotlight zip tied to a bamboo stack in the pot. This really special pure gas diesel mom is just a short year old now, and in need of some natural sunlight to revitalize. I've got clones of it as backups, but I always like to keep the original moms around as long as physically possible. Especially something this offensively gassy. Second pic is a Hashplant 1 mother in a 1 gallon to get a better idea

Finally, here’s a quick recap of some other fun plants that are blowing up the yard. I've got a bunch of peppers from my buddy ChiliRx that have been potted up into 3 inch pots a couple weeks ago, and are doing wonderfully in the greenhouse on the table. As well as most of the peppers I overwintered are coming back with a passion. I'm only a 2nd year pepper grower, so these are more to experiment with new varieties and see what I enjoy from the exotic pepper world. Luckily they've been a breeze to grow. There are also a handful of tobacco plants I planted in pots and in the ground last season that have been exploding in growth. About a month ago I harvested them all back to basically nothing, but after some warm and spring rains, they all came back with a vengeance. Which is very welcome in my yard. Last year they were so effective at pest control, I only had to spray some citric acid a couple times the whole season.
IMG_5008.jpgIMG_5005.jpgIMG_4995.jpg

My current pop is a half tray of F5s of my beloved Lav line for some more headstash, as well as a half tray of PNW HP x Puck F2s to hopefully find some special specimens for F3s. As well as some Neroli91 F2s, and a good number of Lav x Neroli F2s(also known as LN91 in house) to hopefully lock down a special 50/50 diesel/chem with lavender pheno in there.
IMG_4980.jpg

I’ll be sure to be more on top of updates in the future. Especially now that things are going to start moving a lot quicker with the warmer weather. Luckily, at this point of the season it's mostly about keeping things watered/fed and staying out of their way. Well, and trying to figure out what to pop next lol.
