8 strains x 4 breeders. No veg. Seed to Weed in 80 days. Let's ride!

Happy 420 everybody!!!

To members who don't know me, I'm Bandit420
I grow so much pot I always have plenty

I live in a prohibition state and am considered an outlaw
Got two pretty good green thumbs, maybe because I'm a southpaw

I might be Sith but probably more Jedi
One thing for sure, this grass gives me redeye

Gonna grow some alien, banana, ice cream, OG, headband, and even a nuke
Stanky dank aromas from this crop just might make me puke

California Lightworks makes my LED light
They do a helluva job growing these weeds, frosty buds with density nice and tight

I pop my seeds using a 3D printed vertical germinator
It's tech sent here from the future like a Skynet Terminator

I start them off in airpots for awesome roots
And for food I give my ladies Great White, King Crab, & Neptune's Harvest nutes

In flower, Coast of Maine soil, 3.84 gallons per plant is what I use
Best soil around? Hell yes! That's old news

Pull up a chair and get ready for a show
Gonna try and turn these plants so white it'll look like snow

We'll be flying in a starship and I hope you don't panic
After all, this grow is 100% organic

🔥

The Breeders & Strains:

Irie Genetics ~ Nuketown

Cosmic Wisdom Seeds ~ Banana Twerpz

Greenpoint Seeds ~ Straight Jacket....AC/OG....Tahoe Animal....Gellazi....Banana Punch

My home bred cross ~ Haunted Banana F1

Everything except for Haunted Banana is feminized

🔥

A no veg grow is exactly what it sounds like. Once they break thru the seedling stage, the stalk firms up, 5 point leaves emerge, I flip to flower.
Several reasons for this and some are pointed out here

Not only has no veg growing saved me money on operating costs but it's allowing me to fit two extra grows annually which in turn means greater yields per year.

The speed though is the biggest game changer in all this. To be able to take 20-25 seeds and turn it into one lb of sensi in a little over two months time is some real shit that's hard not to notice.
And not just seed runs...I'm hoping to do some clone runs as well

So lets light the fires and burn some tires!!

23 plants have been started. I have a max capacity of around 25-28.
4 starts are from regular seed and I expect some attrition occuring there and maybe a runt or mutant or two. This plan for attrition was done intentionally with the idea of taking clones and running a trailing crop with more Haunted Banana, Nuketown and Banana Twerpz to max out capacity and then some

New for this grow is an updated and ugraded air moving and cooling array of fans in addition to 3D printed, ceiling mount poles for ACI Gen 1 fans to cool the Spectramax heat output.
This was done by pointing a laser thermometer at the light's rails and identifying where the drivers are at causing the heat.
Before the cooling the rails were at 116*F. After cooling they don't get past 94*F.

IMG_7033.JPG

Right now two SS550s are on and they're both at 30%

IMG_0583.JPG

420spectral.png

Another upgrade is a center positioned SS550 under the Spectramax able to come down and help with starting the sprouts and also be a back up option in case heat is too much of an issue running the Spectramax.
This SS550 like the other two are on a remote control winch to be raised and lowered or installed or removed with ease.

IMG_7035.JPG

Y'all may be noticing some other changes well. 🥴
If those aesthetic changes are kinda doing a mind fuck with your eyes, that's the intention😋

🔥

The grow is monitored by Pulse and controlled by ACI, Blueprint, and Spartan controllers and thermostats.
There's eight 6" ACI fans, one 16" Air King, Hepa filtered active intake, a 10 speed 20" ceiling fan, and 700CFM worth of exhaust power

pulse.png

So that's the grow. 😋
Now comes the crazy shit like cannagars, rosin, dab life, bbq, and all other things 420 😵‍💫

They're looking good buddy, how long are you going to give them veg hours?

Thanks Buddy!!
A bunch are ready to flip right now and have been ready for a couple day. I hope to have it done by Sunday. They're all 3 weeks out to the day from being dry seeds.
I'm delaying for this electric table project which shouldn't take too long, maybe an hour or so to set up then I can start upcanning so hoepfully it's delivered early Saturday.

Some will need to go into the holdover tent to cook a little longer but yeah it's time for most.
I have the two picked for cloning as well so by the end of the weekend I'll have probably 15 or so flipped and upcanned then about two weeks from now maybe another 10-15 to add.

lookin young n sexy!!!!!!

did you start them in stonington?

.

so just to show ya my disappointment i rolled by the meat section tonight.. they had two flats semi trimmed on discount yellow sticker! trimmed and packed on 4/19... they gotta sell it by tomorrow and the store was only open for another two hours,,, PASS!!!

20240503_204829.jpg

it was a sad meat cooler... nothin but ribs and pork shoulders and those two yellow stickered flats..

20240503_204914.jpg

got the lamb and fixins for gyros though... and pizza toppings so our weekend is set!!!

Gyro's and or with lamb sounds like a great alternative, Bandit can tell ya, BBQ brisket is a slow art. I still struggle with the cut and do ribs, pork alot. Cheers!

I lived in the southeast for long enough that BBQ means pork. When I see BBQ beef ribs, they remind me of the brontosaurus ribs on the Flintstones.

When I lived in the north during the first half of my life, BBQ restaurants were almost unheard of. Now that I've returned in the third half of my life, they sell it as "gourmet." They don't seem to understand that in order to have the best BBQ, you first must find a wall, knock a hole in it, put a hand-painted sign over the hole, then start making BBQ in there.

Thanks man!

I started them all off in my last bag of Harbor Blend.
The pots may be a little deceiving making them look like they're in a lot of soil but after resizing and using the 3D printed bottoms each plant is in about 1 quart of soil except for the HB which is about 1/2gallon since they're regulars.

1st time watering they got plain water but every watering after I've been microdosing with Neptunes Tomato and Veggie liquid food.

You know one day I'd like to try a shwarma with lamb on a vertical spit. They use that way of cooking in Mexico too and I've always wanted to try it. Just something about it looks so damn delicious!!!

Pellet smoker makes my life ez when it comes to brisket. Way too hard to maintain temps and smoke for 12+ hours in a stick burner for me but my pellet grill makes me look like a pro bbq chef!🤘

Yep in Texas BBQ is all about beef and the pride of the state is brisket. The big Flintstone ribs are called plate ribs or yep Dino Ribs around here. We also have "finger" and short but yeah those dino ribs can cost $20lb and have over a lb of meat on the bone but unfortunately most of the purchase weight is bone. A rack of 4 can cost close to $100 and then they also have to slow cook for 10+ hours.

🔥

I've finished the electric table and folks.....This might be the best idea I've had for this room since I wanted to install a urinal.

How it started.
I took this grungy old table, cleaned it up and removed it's leg parts.

IMG_7082.JPG

I went with the table since I already had it. It's much lighter than using a sheet of plywood with 2x4 support ribs and it probably offers just as good support

IMG_7083.JPG

Attached it to the electric hydraulic lift I bought off amazon

IMG_7084.JPG

Perfect size to support the whole big tray

IMG_7086.JPG

Minimum is 8" up off the floor and maximum of 27" high. Pretty much exactly what I was hoping to get out of this idea

IMG_7088.JPG

IMG_7089.JPG

Going up!!!

And going down!!!

The only thing I wanna add is a sort of non slip surface to the table so the tray wont slide on it and kinda stick to the table. Plastic on plastic doesn't have much friction but at the same time the more weight I put in the tray the less it will move if I happen to bump it.
But other than that I am so extremely happy with this idea and how it's working out

thats just straight pimp!!!!!!

if you don't like the plastic on plastic slide you can always put a towel between the two.

.

for some reason man we have a few good greek places near me that have the vertical spits.. one place even has a trailer with one they take to all the local festivals and stuff. so i don't really need to make them, i can just do it for the fraction of the price. it's like $18 for a gyro and fries. for that amount i got two pounds worth of meat enough to make more than twenty gyros with!! i mean c'mon for real.. it's just a sandwich!!

.
.

of coarse C-Bell gets the pole the week after i pick him!!!!

Me watching that thing go up and down the first time

200w.gif

I have plenty of Gatorade sideline towels to try that out!
Yeah we have a ton of Halal and Mediterranean joints around here now too. Around 2017 they started popping up now they're almost everywhere.
Really popular near campus because for like $10 you get a shit ton of food with protein over rice or salad which college kids will eat on for a couple days. Seriously those platter bowls weigh like 5lbs!!! Chinese joints around here will do that with fried rice or lo mein. Portions so big they can feed 4-5 people or one person for a few days.
I like the gyro or chicken shawarma wraps too. Not too fond of how they do beef though. It will be flavorful but they use gnarly ol sirloin cubes cooked fast with kabobs on griddles and it gets super chewy and tough.
Those vertical spits just look like fun to me. Reminds me of my Santa Maria where it's an action packed cook-out either with rotisserie or moving the grate up and down with the crank over fire.

Kinda undecided how I'll watch the race today. Gotta baseball game at 1pm that will keep me busy until 5pm so IDK if I'll have the race on at work and kinda watch live or DVR it for later. I also got really into Ahsoka yesterday then there's new stuff on netiflix I wanna watch.
When I get home I'll start grilling up a fajita fest with all the fixins so I'll be in the backyard with the radio for a while before I can sit and watch something on tv.

I've got the 11 today in the pool. Necessary evil I suppose. Unfortunately first place has the #5 today then others have Bubba. Anybody in the top 4 could be the leader after today but yeah sorry man I gotta hope the 5 and 23 fall to the rear. Like that'll ever happen with the 5 lol.
Brisky got top 10 and how about that #10 car!!! Top 3 qualifier!! I gotta go hang his flag back out there today!! He's got the best paint scheme today too!
I tell ya man NASCAR needs a Gragson win!!! He'll burn it down, get out, throw up on the mic, chug a beer, and climb the fence if he does!!! Dude's an animal when he wins!

Hey this popped up in my imgur feed yesterday for Star Wars Day and thought I'd share...

MAosiZT.jpeg

Those cabinet mats for dishes make for a pretty cheap no-slip solution. We put them under carpets that are on the hardwood floors.

That's a great idea as well Grump! I was also thinking adhesive backed velcro would do the trick too.

🔥

It's time!!! Flippin' day!
Lots of work to do here. Gotta wash the pots first. Bring in the bags of Stonington then get to work upcanning, cleaning off the little baby bits of growth, and reset the light schedule.
I'll try to get some good root porn when I do the deed.

First it's time for some espresso, avocado toast, and some dabs then it's Sunday work day all day today

looks like you'll get to see your game and the live race!! delayed for rain right now!!

.

ya know man that was one thing we really noticed when traveling to texas. it was tough to find a normal portion for a normal price. we would always try to stay on a budget when working on the road. and unless you spring for a suite to stay in your leftover eating options are limited. i'm sure if you know all the local spots it's like that but we didn't. we go to a place hoping for an $8 burrito to fill up on and leave, but only having the option of a $15 burrito bigger than my neck!! hahaha i'm leaving on a plane in two hours what a i going to do with this?!?!?! always hated wasting food on the road!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i despise throwing out food so it was always a moral conundrum for me. glad i don't have to waste a single morsel anymore!!!! and ya know man it seemed like the bigger the city the bigger the portions!!! hahaha

california was also an expensive state to work in. both cali and texas would always blow our food budget!

.

man i don't know if i can handle listening to larry and jamie mac anymore today!!! ..... ahhhh i bitch and get my way... they just swiched to talking to taco man!! not that i can understand his spanglish ass!!!! he a citizen now!!

i'm torn in rooting today man.. i always root for the pool leaders pick to wreck.. hhahahaha i can't do it man... it's gonna be a green track with all the rain. kinda hoping nascar gives em a competition caution to check tires.

oh damn back to jamie mac.. don't these clowns ever get tired of hearing themselves talk?!?! hahaha

it's 4pm east coast time now about an hour late so far and it's still raining there. edit>> they just said there switching programs for an hour and will come back at 5pm east.

.

have fun getting everything upcanned and in place!!!!!!

Many thanks for the kind words Buddy!
I had to add support ribs to it after upcanning since the weight of the pots was making the tray warp on the sides overlapping the table so I got that fixed up.
Next a small manual lift will be here Tuesday so I can set up the second smaller tray

If only the MRN crew could simulcast for TV!!!
Looks like I'll have a firm hold on second in the pool and now I'll look to C Bell to he;lp me at The Lady in Black.

Gotta lot done yesterday!

Free range roots! Coiling and compacting just isn't a thing here

Majority of the plants were upcanned into 3.84 gallons of Stonington using C2000 containers, reverse topped by removing baby bits of 1 and 3 point leaves and all growth associated with those nodes to reduce/eliminate sucker growth later, and given a car wash using Jungle Rain.
I figure if I'm gonna do some shit that will stress the youngsters, I'm gonna do it all on the same day at one time rather than string it out.

And they were not happy about it at all but they're tuff and can take it. They're just gonna whine a bit about it all.

IMG_7107.JPG

But less than 24 hours later they'll shake off all that grumpy sad face look and turn on the juice

IMG_7111.JPG

IMG_7115.JPGIMG_7116.JPG

IMG_7117.JPG

Got 6 hold overs in the tent but will upcan 2 of these and 2 HB today

IMG_7114.JPG

IMG_7105.JPG

After upcanning I'll set height according to DLI on the lights and table and also start adjusting air movement.
With the Spectramax on now it's heat is already significant and zapping out the humidity. I'll start microdosing the herd with liquid crab and lobster and it's included yucca extract will help make this garden more tolerant and resistant to the effects of a high 80s, low 90s grow op

After further review of the play, I'm calling an audible at the line of scrimmage, sending it to the rear for unapproved adjustment to the aero, and going to the bullpen for a pitching change

IMG_7143.JPG

I've been so happy with the electric elevator table I'm going to make it bigger.
For this grow, I'm scrapping plans for more plants and will just run 18 and only have two lights on.
After this grow I want to get another electric lift and build a custom sized table with dual lifts that cover the whole 4' x 10' footprint and then go with a 25-30 plant grow op

you got my ears perked up for sure!!! 18 plants!!! only two lights.. which two? you parking the Smax for this grow?

about what size footprint are you gonna have this round?

i ask these questions because it sounds like a lot more my size grow than your normal sized grow.

.

the table must work great if you want two of em!! you'll be able to do that tilting action you were talking about!!!

Now this is some bud builders shit! The originator, the innovator, see ya haters as I fly by cuz I'm a player 😎

Total footprint today is only 40" deep x 80" long. I'm only fitting plants into and filling up the big tray for now and leaving the other half size tray on the sideline.
S/max will cover most of it while a Gen 2 SS550 covers about 30"x40" of that with overlap. I'd say I'm at around 2/3 capacity now.

The table is allowing me to run the lights, mainly the s/max, at a much lower output than I've been able to do since I can close the gap on headroom then open it up as they grow.
With energy costs the way they are I think that table can pay for itself in less than 3 grows even with the second lift added. It's just opened up some ways to manage this room I wasn't expecting. Like everything is available to me now. Every plant height, every distance from light to canopy, every spectrum output can all be accessed and set to a near perfect DLI.

Less output means less heat but with the lift I can still rain light down like a sumbitch and not lose performance. Last grow I took it from 75% to 100% output in the first two weeks but right now it's at 75% and I don't have to adjust it. Instead I can adjust the table.

So yeah the table is proving far more useful than I originally thought.
The only downside is the lift is small and the table on top is huge. I underestimated the weight of a full tray with wet pots and they began to warp the plastic support table under the tray. I pulled everything off and reset it with more stability to get thru the grow for now but I see it's gonna take a heavy duty 2"x4" lumber support frame attached to the lifts then trays on top of the frame to make it as stiff and rigid as it needs to be.

That's exactly what I was thinking when building that hahaha! Get out of my head MDK!!!!
But yeah man when that table went up and down the first time my first thought was this is the most bud builder thing ever!

damn bro i sometimes forget just how big your hideout is!! even at 2/3 your still twice the size of me.

that's really awesome your finding even more cost savings with your lift. sucks the light table isn't going to hold up though.. the lumber gets heavy quick. i'll shop around for ya on some aluminum rails, with some 3d printed corners you might be able to make something strong, light, and cheap.

less heat has got to be a huge bonus for ya too.. with your AC that translates right into more dollar savings!!

i just love it when someone's plan comes together like that!!!!

that's really awesome your finding even more cost savings with your lift. sucks the light table isn't going to hold up though.. the lumber gets heavy quick. i'll shop around for ya on some aluminum rails, with some 3d printed corners you might be able to make something strong, light, and cheap.

less heat has got to be a huge bonus for ya too.. with your AC that translates right into more dollar savings!!

i just love it when someone's plan comes together like that!!!!

There's a real strong chance I can get thru this grow without AC at least up until it's almost over when I want it cooled down for ripening.
I was thinking about shutting down July-August but I think I can slide in another warm weather grow but just do it with all three SS550s and leave the S/max dark.
There's pretty much 3 really good configurations I can run here depending on time of year and I like having that versatility.

The support frame that will attach to the lifts will need to measure 108" long x 17" wide. Super obscure dimensions.
60" of the length will be directly supported by the lifts while the other 48" will need to be split up between the center gap and overhang at the ends.
The frame will have to be strong AF to do it and all I can think of are 2x4s with the 4" side up to be both strong and cost effective.
I like the idea of maybe steel or aluminum 2"x2" w/ 1/4" thick walled square tubing but man cost is high on that shit at maybe $150 per rail and I'd need two of them plus center support.
2 lifts will give me 600lbs of weight capacity and I'm guesstimating roughly 360-400lbs will be plants and soil so even though the lumber will be the heaviest option it's the most budget friendly and can still come in under weight.
I'm also thinking of a hybrid lumber and aluminum deal with the 2x4s making up the frame and then aluminum used for the cross support but the main thing is making sure that whatever makes up that 108" length cannot bend or flex even the slightest amount
