A little funny?

They still had cold beer machines in the breweries lunch room when I was an electrical estimator. It was either free or you got tokens. Don’t recall now. I didn’t have any as it was just domestic, and honestly the smell from all the ingredients and the wart cooking just killed my appetite. 😞

A very true story of not understanding the concept of an auction and entitlement.

Several times a year I list stuff for sale on ebay. If it's grow or smoke related, I always open the auction at $4.20 no matter what the item. It could be worth $5K and I'll still open at $4.20.
I do it for several reasons...Tradition that brings good luck...To give everybody a shot and if they get a great deal, I'm happy for them, they beat the house, cheers....but also to drive up action and create bidding wars on the item.

So within minutes of going live I get the question, how much will I take right now?
It's up for auction for a week and there's no buy it now price.
I'll give you $20 now since you only want $4.20.
$4.20 is the opening bid. If you win it for $4.20 that's what you'll pay. If it gets bid up higher then that's the final price.
$20 is a good price since you only want $4.20.
$4.20 is just the opening bid, not the final sale price. Nobody will know that price until the auction is over.
I'm reporting you to ebay for not selling it to me for $20 when you only want $4.20.

Current bidding is up to $61 ;gr
