I think it was originally from Maine? I've met a few outdoor growers here, seems everybody grows outdoors here, I did last summer myself

Update: (good news for a change)

One of the two Red Beard Platinum OG Kush that cracked but didn't put out a tail is coming up thru the promix

So I have two of those, and two of the Green Point Onyx Crush have already cracked and are putting out nice white tails!

So I have four plants right now, so that's a run!

One Onyx crush is up so now we have the legal three, so it's a run! It's on like popcorn (big difference from the legal 12 plant-count we had back in Massachusetts)

Speaking of Onyx Crush this is a picture of one that's finishing up now

The owl was there when I opened the curtains this morning, I've seen it every day except yesterday, flew off before I could get a picture

Both times that I've seen it fly off he's flown to 'Owlville' which is somewhere on the other side of the garage not too far into the woods

Quick story: Back in December of 21 hadn't even been here a month and was still learning to heat with wood, the fire had burned out while I was sleeping so around 3:00 in the morning I was out on the deck with the hatchet chopping some kindling, at the first strike of the axe I heard this loud, ungodly scream, sounded like it was coming from everywhere and for a few seconds I had no idea what it was but then the scream ended in the ever familia 'Who Who' so I knew it was an owl, and that seems to be where they live

Yeah they get pretty loud, up here you can hear them form different hill sides.

It was sooo loud, dead still in the middle of the night and that thing just let go with a sound I've never heard before, I didn't know if something was going to be rushing at me or what LOL

I hear them out there hooting occasionally, but I've never heard a screech like that before or since, I think I startled it as much as it startled me

Update:

All the Green Point Onyx Crush are up! One is wearing the membrane but I zoomed in & it doesn't look too bad, I'll give it 24hrs. before I operate

Only two for five germination from the Red Beard seeds, at least I can say I gave him a try

-4°f already and we haven't even bottomed out yet, I think it'll be 10 or 12 below tonight but I have a nice warm fire going and a cat sleeping in front of it, so we should be all right

About the same here today, they're saying 1° tonight so it'll probably be three or four degrees below but we're getting there, it's staying light longer now and I'm starting to think about the vegetable gardens so we're getting there

Looks like this mornings surgery went well, shitty picture but there's clearly a set of leaves already coming out

I'd rather pry off a shell then cut a membrane, but it's done, looks good too

Now that I'm thinking about harvesting soon I realized I have no drying room in this house

I only have two closets and neither one can be used for drying

I thought about buying a very small tent just for drying but I really don't have room for that either

my best option is to use a hanging baskets in the grow room

I'll have to keep a close eye on when they're dried and get them right into jars

I was thinking of trying the Grove bags

Do I use the Grove bags with the Boveda packs or not?

Watch those green point seeds at 2 -3 weeks into flower for tell tale little flowers. He's been putting out some iffy seeds I had 2 of his grow balls this last grow. It made this harvest go from 6-4 plants, just saying we've been having some bad luck with his seeds.

Yeah I've been reading that GPS thread, too bad because when I quit growing a few years ago he was putting out some fire with that cowboy series, that's a shame

I noticed last night that I have one that's putting out some odd leaves in the top buds, but nothing that I'm concerned about at this point

What I recall is I want to hang buds and get their humidity between 58 and 62% (I used to fill a jar halfway or so and put a hygrometer in the jar for at least 12 hours to get an accurate reading)

then once they're in that 58-62% range I jar them and burp the jar at least twice a day

I think I put the boveeta packs in after they've stabilized right? I don't put them in right away cuz they steal the terps

That's what I remember, have I forgotten or am I missing anything?

I don't burp per say.
Once I jar I do install Boveeda 62%.
If RH gets to 65 I open the jar for a couple hours or a day.
Most of the time if I jar at the right time I never burp them at all.
I never heard of the Boveeda packs messing with terps but am not super educated on all this to be honest.

I've been waiting for someone to ask the same! I also will have no exterior way to dry and am trying to b able to dry w/out getting another tent. I have a drying basket but think that will interfere with the canopy/light for the 4 I just flipped.

I can never get may parameters perfect for drying, I can get the 60% humidity but 60-62F is a tough one. I built a small 3x3x3 box with a computer fan sucking air our with filtered passive intake and a small osculating fan inside. I get my humidity close and dry around 68f. Once well dried I put in Grove bags for 2+ weeks with 62% Humidity packs, Boveda or Boost Integra. Aft 2 weeks it is smoke able and has absorbed some moisture from the packs. Smell is back and the buds have firmed up after over drying.

Yes I'll put 2-3 of them in a 1/4lb Grove bag $4.50Cdn each the large size 67 (67gram). 62% + 62% + 62% = 62% so the more the merrier and they are reuseable. I order 1-2 bags and humidity packs every time I place an order. The Boost $5 are a bit Cheaper to buy and seem to be as good as the Boveda $7.50

I used to put them in a Ziploc with a wet paper towel folded up and leave it in the sun and almost all of them recharged!
