A Turkey In The Hay 🦃

Weekend Update:

Eh... nothing

the mutant (not pictured) has some curly leaves, I checked her trichomes there about 70% clear so a few more weeks on that one, I didn't check the others, there not close

I guess the best news is that nothing's hermied so far

Setting up my little seed starting area this weekend, maybe, no rush, I'm not dropping seeds until I'm within two weeks of chopping the last flowering plant, and that's at least a month out, unfortunately

Still waiting for the new ballast

I still have 20 female Green point seeds for free for anybody in the US, maybe you'll have better luck than me with them, hate to throw them out, pm me

These new lights are great, well made and very bright at just 22 watts each!

Gonna move the ink bird control over for the propagation mat and that's the whole seed starting setup right there 🌱😊

It was a four pack too for $20 so now I have a light for above my workbench in the garage and one more for a spare; great deal for a change on Amazon

Any thoughts on this?

Screwed up my timer, my normal lights-on cycle is from 9:00 p.m. till 9:00 a.m.

But instead of going off at 9am this morning I just shut them off at 6:00pm tonight 🤦🏻

I'm going to give them 12 hours of dark now, and then flip the script and turn the light ON from 6:00 a.m. tomorrow till 6:00 p.m. and go with this cycle till they finish

I've screwed up like this before for three or four hours with no I'll effects, but never 9 hours

I've got about 2 weeks left so I'm not going to panic

Yes I've had to do similar but there's no harm done whether in flower or veg, a day or 2 here and there with fked up hrs is meh to the plants. I set my hours to match mine. 8am-8pm flowering and my 18hrs of vegging lights goes off at 8pm too. I had a 2.5hr power outage and it takes me a couple of days to get my timers right with using the far reds to come on just before the lights go out for 15 min.
I just used them for 1 week on my sprouts and they've jumped enough to shut it off again but I'm still using one in my flower tent with them at 9 weeks in flower now

Unless the issue may have been existing before I discovered it I never pay no mind to glitches.
The plant won't respond to one day.
Some growers do 3 days dark or extra light and it barely makes a difference.
IMO you could flip them back on tonight and just carry on with your 9-9 schedule if you wanted to.

So would you recommend 12 hours of dark right now to keep the dark cycle

or do you think it would be all right to turn the lights back on at 9:00 p.m. this evening with only 3 hours of dark today?

I like the lights on at night especially because it's going to be -20° f

Id let them run dark until 9pm for lights on again tomorrow. 26 hours in the dark won't hurt them at all.

I say you can turn them on tonight.
I really don't think they will have much of a response to just one day of difference.
The process is weeks,I don't see the plants changing for just one day.

They can't just change on a dime and one day is not enough IMO to be concerned about.
The darkness causes the cycle, but the light is still needed to grow buds.

I guess I'll leave them on their regular 9:00 p.m. lights ON cycle then

The quicker I get this mess out of the tent the happier I will be

The last thing I want is for these to reveg and take longer

Over the last 7-10 days you can push your lights to 16 -18hrs on to bump under performing plants just turn the lighting down to 60-65%. They won't reveg for at least 1 week and the extra on time will help swell smaller buds. Closer to 7 than 10 days to be safe but its an old trick I've used a few times with no bad results.

Couple hours away from 7:🥶🥶 a.m. the coldest time of day, don't think we're going to hit 20 below like they said, close though, the good news is the wind died so there's no wind chill, the wind's the real killer! It didn't get this cold in Boston! ☕🐸Screenshot_20250202-050659.jpg

Did I ever tell you that my maternal grandparents were from Nova Scotia?

How far are you from the New Brunswick border? I can get to Calais Maine in about 6 hrs. I may take a trip up your way come the hot days of summer...If the border is still open and we're not lobbing mortars at one another by then.

It's about half that distance for me, I've been to Canada many times, I used to go to the Montreal jazz festival with my late first wife, we always had a great time and the Canadian people were great! I'm not a fan of trying to make Canada the 51st state, Canada is a sovereign nation and I hope it stays that way!

Its a pipe dream he's having. He's just talking off the top of his head, We're not about to erase the Border on a whim of his. It would take an actual war I think before we'd submit but without any guns here at home we'd be a pretty easy target. I can't even get a BB gun without Government approval, records check and a fire arms safety course. I've heard rumors we're training our geese to fly south and crap on the white house lawns in retaliation for tariffs. They're training them on golf courses to unload on green spaces.

March? That's the beginning of Summer in the South.
Spring started yesterday around these parts 😋

Ya we ain't so lucky, Those will be our best days of the year what you have now but we won't get a full week like that ever without rain or cloud, In my 30 years here I don't think we ever had a full week of sun without clouds, We can go a month - 2 without much rain but not with clear skies1738609419223.png
