Cheers to kicking old bad habits and picking up new ones!
I think the key to quitting a bad habit or making a life change isn't just quitting but filling the void with something better or at least distracting.
A new and safe hobby helps.
Like yesterday after sweeping the Ags in hardball and securing #1 or #2 overall seed for playoffs and the weekend finally being the end of a grueling Spring football season in the past woulda had me going on a bender with bourbon, margaritas, and probably a big fat steak off the grill. Even getting the party started at work with coworkers and driving home buzzed up.
Instead while they popped cold ones, I turned some laps with the RC car, hit my cart, then went home and watched the Cup race and smoked some more. Wife made vegan and turkey meat tacos and I got to taste what plant based sour cream is like. Didn't think about booze at all or getting more wasted than what weed and just being happy the Spring grind is winding down could deliver.
One thing that helps with food is the search and discovery of new flavors. Like I've had a billion cheeseburgers in life and know what a burger is about. Now I seek out other types of burgers not using beef and they're often good or better so I don't even crave things like burgers either.
All that being said, if and when I drop down to 220 some things like slow smoked BBQ and frosty margs on the beach will make a come back in life heavily moderated to be rare treats.
You and yours are gonna love them kicks bro! Folks might call you a city boy around your parts but your dawgs will be so happy you won't give AF!!! My wife loves every pair of Nikes I've got her and I'm sure yours will too especially when they're girlied up like that!
I like the Raiders draft a lot. No Horns or Nittany Lions though but maybe next year or we'll see later when cuts and trades are made.
We set the team record for players sent to the league this year. We'll have 1-2 more 1st rounders next year then '27 will probably see Arch Manning in the draft and that will pretty much be an earthquake changing the dynamics for a lot of teams on how they draft or trade etc in the off season.
Now that Spring is winding down and I'll be getting some more free time then finally Summer vaycay I'm starting to catch up on some things.
Got the 3D printer rolling again. Fixed up the flood and drain with the big rez.
And got the tomatoes in....

That's one of my old aquaponics tubs filled with used weed growing dirts and stuff + 2 Earthboxes.
Found some garden fence at the recycle dump to surround the tub to keep the dogs out then inside then fence lay down critter ridder and cayenne pepper to deter squirrels. Will also let that grass grow tall inside the fence since squirrels hate tall grass. Might even put a fake snake down in there to justify their fear of tall grass.
Another slightly more diabolical deterrence if those dont work...3D print fake tomatoes, coat them in Tanglefoot, then roll in cayenne pepper. Yeah FAFO and bite that fuckers!!!
Once I get them melon patch going do the same thing...print fake melons and coat them with hot pepper then surround the real melons with ground pepper rings
