i'm kinda surprised there's not a 19 diecast sitting on that window sill!! they're just damn lucky it's not the hamlin center or it would get peed on often!!!!! hahahaha

ya know man i had to google "true hydro" to even know what it was.. i said to myself watch it will be what i have... yup!

man you have so many different strains at once... wowzers!!! so many that are completely different from each other as well. gonna be a hell of a camo show!!!!

i think you had that ice cream once before, yeah? i thought i remember seeing it as it reminded me of a turkey hill kind i had... that banana tub you had looked the bomb!!!! those banana drumsix we got are pretty dang good!! i like the chocolate waffle cone they use!!!

and hey look at that you've always wanted to grow that unicorn weed and now you have yourself a big ol tickler horn growing!!!!!!!!!!!!

good luck to the 19 on the front row tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wooot woot!!!!!!!!!

Thing about peeing on stuff these days is there's cameras EVERYWHERE!!

The rebranding and reinventing of things never stops amazing me man. Kinda reminds me of people using the phrase "true living organics" and it being both a brand and a technique of growing soil.
Not much of technique other than using a hot layer of soil at the bottom similar to compost at the bottom of a hole for planting a tree and giving it a new name.

I'm simply from the old era of hydro being an umbrella for nothing more than growing without soil and then there's subtopics of techniques like DWC, Kratky or wick, NFT, aero, Ebb N Flow and so on.
So for me, hempy is hydro. If an earthbox is using a wicking potting mix instead of soil, it's technically hydroponics.
Soilless can be anything from coco to perlite/vermiculite, to perlite and any combo of them but it's still hydro since there is no compost, castings, or soil involved.

Within the subtopics are nuances for the mediums. Making things work in DWC, raft, or Aero being the most challenging. Rockwool comes with it's own unique hurdles and coco is probably the most forgiving.
Many things will work in water only mediums but are hard to manage. Like a compost tea in DWC is possible but the margin for error is very narrow and it will be a very high maintenance, water wasting grow.
Some things can be used as foliar when it cannot be added to the water as well. That was often my play with aquaponics and using something that could harm the fish

Most nutrients will have all the sulfur you need since it's a micro nute. You only need trace amounts.
But I'd put it like this...you're average basic airpump can supply your DWC all the air it could possibly need but concentrating the oxygen and increasing it may increase growth by even 1% is worth it so kinda the same thing with sulfur.
Not gonna make a world of difference and can live without it but sometimes it can make a difference and I find that difference happens most with sativa than it does indica.
So that's another thing...Already growing frosty indica hybrids? I doubt much difference can be made other than maybe getting frost on stems and underside of leaves but on a haze the sulfur can frost up leaves that are usually baron and then also seriously grease up the flowers.

IDK of anything like Golden Gun and you'd have to see but there's also SulfurPower from Power AG.
In the GH line it's kinda for the same thing but not really and that's Floranectar or Bud Candy from AN. I have both those too for the diverse sugars but I'm almost certain the AN stuff is just epsom salt in water and is a fake sweetener. My sample bottle of that stuff is kinda old and I've never opened it but it's ingrendients just say mag. Label promises one thing but ingredients are promising something else IMO with that one.
Floranectar is a kind of a 1% sulfur supplement and doses of sugar for microbials. I bought the Nectar a few weeks ago for the upcoming ripening and since GG is an every other week application I want a steady low dose every flood for the microherds as well as the plants.
I'd honestly be shocked if Floranectar coudln't be used in DWC.

Final payment was made a few days ago regrading the consequences of a 12:30 on light cycle to start the first wave of plants in this grow.

For the most part the plants were in a half veg half flower stall and stretch for almost a month. They really couldn't decide to do one or the other and kinda lingered it until I made the definite change to get more than 12 hours of dark.

Romulan did something totally different and the best way I can describe this is two Romulan plant siamese twinned themselves with half the plant going to bloom and half staying in veg.
After the hard flip the one twin began to flower but has been an obvious 4 weeks behind it's twin on the same plant.
I have two plants, both with a siamese twin and the twin is way behind in flower, by a month.

How do you even feed that? How do you work a plant that has two canopies several weeks apart? How do you feed for week 4 of bloom and week 1 of bloom at the same time on the same plant?

It came to a head with one plant a couple days ago and I decided to remove the twin that was several weeks behind

IMG_4857[1].jpeg

I left this twin intact since it's just one branch shooting up and not taking a ton of space.
I hope I got a good pic of this because the shoot in the center is from the same plant as the cluster to the right but is obviously weeks behind it's twin in the race to stack and ripen

Romulan is also a freak on another level compared to any hybrid I've grown. I'm super impressed with Romulan IX2 even with the siamese twin thing

You want monster colas you could beat somebody over the head with and knock them the fuck out?

IMG_4893[1].jpeg

Or you wanna cash crop her and go for weight?
Cut her head off and watch 4 beer bottle fill the space instead of a monster.
Yield will come without trying or forethought about the subject but topping will yield more than the donkey dicks and probably lower the risk of bud rot too

Crystal Gayle once sang "Dont it make your brown eyes blurple".
Or something like that.

Bodhi Strawberry haze cola growing more colas off the main cola. The Nova sun bleached her up too.
One of the biggest colas I've ever grown in regards to girth. It's bigger than my head

IMG_4922[1].jpeg

IMG_4912[1].jpeg

Moroccan Peaches bleached so much I think it's been watching Outer Banks with me and getting fashion tips from it

IMG_4907[1].jpeg

Last time I grew Bodhi stuff he was nailing down hash plants and OG Kush spinoffs head and shoulders above most everything and now he's doing the same with sativas.
They respond great to 12/12 from seed as well so I was able to avoid all sorts of shit when it comes to growing haze indoors by doing that.
These girls are gonna finish around 30-40" tall, no low branching since I've cut it all away, and what I get is one big ass bud on a stick.
All that veg time gets diverted to flower time since they're long ripening strains and it all grows into flowers as well instead of leaves and branches

Taking out dead soldiers by the bucket load at this point in the game

Printed a cool caddy for a cool probe and now my rez is spittin' out SMT data on the grow

Added this dude for shits and giggles too. For only $47 off amazon, impressive and accurate little wifi pH monitor

When it's 107 outside, fuck it, we grow.

So far so good on the outdoor seed factory despite a pesky raccoon's worst intentions.
Getting good growth and am fine with everything getting a max size of around belt buckle high.

Today, some will be separated and moved into the hidden spots around the property.
I have a nice ensemble of DPs and Jawas to select for parents and take those to F2.
I'm also prepared to make feminzied pollen but am uncertain about that.
I have one Satori left after a racoon ate one and dug up the other and it may be female.
Honestly, I feel like hitting her with DP pollen or any male pollen from anything else may be a better option than flipping her to make to make fem pollen. This will require a smoke and meditation to decide.
This seed project is about collection and preservation, not corruption and while I can fem, just not so sure it's right to do or if even have all fem seed matters that much in an open floor plan grow.

IMG_4929[1].jpeg

My free seed tub is about what I'd expect from freebie autoflowers and a free Acapulco Gold but hey, free pot is still pot!!!
The autos seem to be caterpillar food more than anything but maybe I get something worth squishing off the gold shaggy sativa
.

I wish I had done more other than just observe what the Indian landrace would do. Pretty sure my one girl is going chrome and I'm filled with all sorts of regret for not pollinating her with something, anything

Bloody hard to grow plants in pots, specially with the heat.my gals use to suck 6 litres a day in those black pots you have and was forever keeping the water up to them.what was worse was to come home the gals would b laying over as they were just too light.i ended up digging holes to put the pot in there to slow the pot drying out.didn’t really work but stopped them falling over..

Soft pots dry out fast too outside. Even the Thai pepper tree needs watering two or three times a day, on sunny hot days, or it droops.

I’m debating if I should move one or both of the autos outside again this year. Weathers so unpredictable even the weather people can’t get it right 24-48hrs in advance.

Outdoors and in this heat I can use containers but water daily, about 1/2 to 1 full gallon per pot. It sucks for sure!
I also prefer a peat based soil over coco outdoors for it's water retention and a sort of cooling effect it has on soil. General rule of thumb for me is peat during Summer and outdoors and coco for indoors or outdoor cool weather grows just based on how they hold water and drain.

Fabric bags are to be avoided here. Plastic or hard walls is best. Fabric just seems to cook and dehydrate roots when I use them so I prefer plastic to kinda work like a swimming pool but filled with dirt. When it's this hot and dry it's almost impossible to over water they dry out so fast. Top 2 inches can dry out in minutes after watering

Between the outdoor plants and indoor grow, I'm burning thru 50 gallons of water every 3 days. Algae and mosquitoes don't even get a chance to grow in my tanks it's used up so fast.
Haven't seen rain in weeks but luckily the lakes filled earlier this year so we're dry but still have lots of water so not use restrictions yet. I don't keep a lawn or any of that stuff so all my water goes to growing pot unless it's for home use stuff.
Next phase of outdoor operations is to build a rain collection system.

A place for everything and everything has a place.....

My little home grown patch of Poisons, isolated and ready for sexing then mating.
I just ordered some lobster compost to start brewing teas and also have some top dressing goodies for everybody.
I chose spots among dead sunflowers I had left for camo. Figure if a spot is sunny enough for sunflowers, it should do well for weed too.

Jawas are spead out in the wild as are some Cherry Heart Breakers and Motown Lockdown pots

A raccoon won't leave this tub alone so I've moved it and spread cayenne pepper around it's base.
I think it's after the water in the rez so I've also provided a water dish with a pump to keep it fresh and attractive and maybe leave this tub alone

IMG_4946[1].jpeg

This one is feeling like a love tub of destiny.
It used to have 3 plants but the coon dug one up and it died later similar to the one dying above that had been dug up.
It was a Satori I lost and all my Bluebell plants are showing male, with the best male in this tub.
It just feels like having a really good looking, last one standing, Satori specimen along with a very robust Bluebell male I should let nature take it's course here.
I didn't plan to do this cross but feel like I shouldn't let it pass.

i reacted with cool but wow does it look hot there!!!!!!! i sure wish i could trade some rain for some dry right now!!!! rains here every day or two, my rain collectors have been overflowing all summer long.
so if hasn't rained what are ya gonna do with a rain collector? haha .... put cool stickers on it and go out and do a rain dance!!!! they only work if ya do them naked!! hahaha

i know i said this before but man you got a lot growing!!!!!!!

that ph probe looks cool, almost has a star trek vibe to it to go along with the romulan!! it looks to be wifi too yeah?

it's tough for me to tell by your photos man, in your opinion how is the romulan for growing in scrog? you think she'll branch nice and stretch decent, or does she grow a little more xmas tree like?

did i mention it looks hot in your photos.. your cat looked like she's ready to explode man!!!! just internal spontaneous combustion. could you imagine being covered in fur non stop?!?! fuck!!!!

lookin pretty awesome in the hideout though!!

and i'm so glad back when i was young and dumb people didn't have cell phones or cameras everywhere!!! if you didn't see it you'd never know, and if i got ya wasted enough after you'd never remember seeing me be dumb!!! hahaha

;pass

i like that ZEP wrap on the 19.. i really like that nascar let them go back to metallic numbers on the cars again this year!!!

raiders play houston in preseason tomorrow.. the new center is held out for precautions from a ding a couple days ago, i'm really curious to see how the first string does without him.. coach was impressed with all three QB's in game one and said they all deserve more reps with the first string so i'm curious to see if that happens as well.. one day the raiders will earn that open spot for a horn up player on the team!!!!

It's not to be taken lightly or underestimated. This shit isn't just hot but it's dangerous hot

I cast a wide net for my genetics man! Stretched it across the planet and pulled them in from far and wide. I won;t do single strain grows and want to have at least 3 at any time but I wont grow indicas and sativas side by side anymore.
This is a haze run and next will be all indicas and I'll alternate.
Also making plans to expand the room to add a pony grow for breeding using my spare Nova sun, the waterfarm coco two site system I tested the last grow, and a pair of pop up mini greenhouses.

I can't speak for white label or replica Romulans but for the IX2 it's common Xmas tree, 50/50 hybrid, on an extremely powerful plant.
It branches out well and as long as a plant can branch it can be worked into a SCROG.
Don't expect donkey dicks to rise up out of your screen though. Standard 50% reduction in size but also 100% increase in cola numbers with each topping applies.
So to start you get donkey dicks if left uncut.
Top it and you get two beer bottles.
Top it again and the beer bottles are cut by half but you get 4 of them and so on.
If the canopy is kept level which a scrog does then all tops get equal energy but none will get enough energy or have the height above the rest to grow a monster larger than everything else in the canopy.
The only way to get monster colas in a scrog is to mainline first to get around 6-10 tops and long veg them for a full Summer and flower it over 2-3 months in the Fall. It's roughly a 6 months grow but the colas at the end can be the size of an adult human arm.

This Romulan here was meant to be loaded with seeds but I lost my males. IMO, Romulan is a foundation plant for breeding. I have it to add robusto to landraces that have psychedelic effects but yield very poorly and are hard to manage indoors.
Romulan has helped so many strains get to where they are today that I consider it a backbone of modern cannabis but shit has gotten so fucked from inbreeding and feminzing that it's time to hit the reset button and breed it all over again starting from scratch.

I've gone into a football blackout ever since I set my work tv to the NASCAR channel.
Have you seen that channel? All I can say is wow and holy crap Amazon is seriously committed to NASCAR

This link will probably look different for you than me on your end but it's the Prime TV live guide. There's a NASCAR channel in it and Dude.....Dude.......Dude!!!!!!!
IDK even where to start with it because there's so much and it's so cool!!!
Every Monday is the 2001 season so this week was Richmond, on that channel it was Richmond 2001.
It's got old and new Radioactives, old races galore, a show that breaks down SMT data, every month a HOF driver gets a documentary and this month is Mark Martin. Driver cam view of this week's race winning drive as well. It's just a ton of content with minimal commercials. I leave it on for so long I come back with the screen saying, "you still watching?" so I have to hit the Fuck Yeah I'm still watching button on the remote

wow man your lows at night almost match our highest in the day right now.

Capture.JPG

you stay in the shade and i'll stay under an umbrella!!!

thanks for the romulan info!! i can't speak for the breeder on what i have so i think i'm gonna wait for now. if it is like that then maybe i'll want to run those without a screen and just grow it natural.

i think i might try my hand at a sativa... been a long long time!! was reading how the chocolope i just got likes a humid veg so maybe i play that one to my advantage while i'm still fighting my high rh.

i'll be honest i only watched that nascar channel one time. last year it was the only place they aired the black tie trophy event so i watched it then. i didn't know it was on prime though, i saw it on my samsung tv plus channels that come free with samsung tvs. it's the default thing my tv airs as soon as i power it up. but no i never watched it since. i just clicked on your link for prime to see if i could see it and laganos incar was on.. i said in my head la-gay-NO and clicked close!!! hahaha

i'll be watching football.. or at least i'll give it a try and see how it goes. i'm not gonna watch the raiders come in last if that what it is though!! wvu first game is against a team i can't even pronounce so go mountaineers on that one!!!!!!! what the hell is a chanticleer?

gotta be tough for you not to hear football stuff...
