CannaGranny’s Corner a Thread For General BS and Good Will On BudBuilders

Is the search feature down for everyone or just something on my end? I was looking to see if anyone has shared experience with worm bins, but get an error message.

Yeah there's something going on with the search bar and the server. Over my head but I think @Stoneyluv is working on it.

yea i have a plan i think.... i think.. haha

sorry for the inconvenience.. i also use the search a lot here. i might take the search option down just to try and narrow own our errors we're seeing on the server as a test.

it's possible (not confirmed) only maybe, we need an upgrade to the site. there's been one available from our host for quite some time and we haven't due to costs up till now. but if it's needed we might need to host a puff n stuff party with all the rich people here at BB!!! haha

(puff n stuff = corporate term for blowing smoke up someone's ass to get more money or productivity... ) hahahahaha

Hm.. his "clearing of that statement" is a very hard pill to swallow, very..
Agree to disagree. Let's keep the peace, the tone suggests otherwise.
Perhaps it would be easiest for you to clear this statement by Joe Biden?

“We have put together I think the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”

I’m going to attempt to explain this without sounding crass.
This is my thread. When I came here Moe said. My thread, my rules. One of the things that I have said from day one..zero censorship on this page about anything. That includes political comments. I have also said anything may be discussed as long as we respect one another.
While I understand and respect your opinion I also say making rules that don’t allow free thought, free individuals, free opinions etc. would be damn boring.
Seeing posts about each other, our kids, our animals, our plants, our homes etc. is what makes this page what it is. Am I to disallow that as well because it’s not weed related?
I’m not here to “allow” or disallow anything other than disrespect among users for differing opinions. Or just disrespect in general.
My very roots as a Native American demands freedom.
The political climate is hot as you say. All the more reason we should continue to try and talk about it.
I can see this is well received among others because of the numbers on this thread. One million views, 20k in comments.
I respect your opinion, but am very unlikely to change my position on this subject. I’m just being honest.
With that said, I enjoy you being here and sharing with us. If politics wind one up, it’s just too darn easy to scroll on by and spend time on things that do interest us and makes us happy.
PS..Your two cents are always welcome here!
Thank you for your reply, I understand your point and I normally would fully support it, but as I said I don't feel it's beneficial in this political climate and I certainly know what I can do if I don't like it.

I am neither Republican or Democrat, I have escaped the Matrix and I'm encouraged to see a few others here have as well. I serve only the truth and my Lord Jesus Christ.

I've been down a lot of rabbit holes in the last 5 years and I came back up with the receipts, aka. facts, and facts destroy lies.

Had a late night and my brain was working to slow to head off the visual from your description of puff n stuff.

I should have asked about search in a private message. It's not even close to being an inconvenience. It easy to use google's site search, if needed.

I did a quick poke around the Xenforo forum and didn't see anything about the search feature requiring a forum update. Is this board running the advanced search, If so, maybe it would save some money to drop that and imbed the Google site search. Maybe that would be sufficient and free. I'm not sure we'd lose anything other than separate search by member, thread fields and that doesn't really add much value, at least for my use.

^ This^
I will repeat if you adamantly defend one party or the other they have you right where they want you. You have chosen to believe. I have chosen to think for myself.

It is shame Bob Barker or Richard Dawson is still not alive.
America loves a good game show host, and they seem to vote for them~!

Exactly what I was trying to avoid..make you feel like if you don’t like it, you know what you can do. That truly was not my point! Censoring is a liberal thing, and I want zero part of it.
Like you, I too have gone down the rabbit holes and I have learned more about politics than I have ever known or ever wanted to know.
I think your stance is warranted.
Happy you are staying, as I truly like you!

Good morning Yiz Menz!
Apples and Bananas, my one hitter and a cup o’ joe on the porch in this balmy 62* weather. Wish you all were here..I’d even make ya biscuits and gravy!
PS..this A and B strain is pretty wicked!

Hitchcock45 has a super cool set up. Plinking steel is too much fun. My sister has turned into the firearms guru of the family. She and her husband have a nice range. Have you shot at a Texas Star? If not, and you get a chance, it's super fun and challenging.

She and her husband give classes for concealed carry permits, some advanced courses and introductory stuff. She has had a solid following on social media, at times. Focussed mostly on women's training and carry items. Not sure about now, but years ago this was the fastest growing segment in the industry. She has company's sending her holsters, range gear, etc. for her to review. Not anywhere near Hitchcock45 level or anything, but still pretty neat. I used to be the better shot, but I sorta lost interest and she has trained and worked really hard to improve. They enter Steel Challenge events nearly every weekend at small ranges and clubs within driving range and she almost always has the best times of all men or women participants. I recently saw an ad for a match and it asked if this would be the week that someone finally toppled her reign, lol.
We have these events as well. Three gun etc. As for me I’m a long range shooter. I get a kick in seeing how accurate one can be at great distances. I’m seeing more and more women at these shoots and I’m happy about it!
Currently I’m coaching an eight year old girl that is going to rock this game.

We're in a hilly mountainous area. From phoos you've shared, it looks like you are, too. Unless you own or have access to a large tract of private property, there aren't many options for long range shooting around here. There's a range in WV that I've wanted to check out. Run by former special forces guys. They do specialized defense training and even train some law enforcement. There is an old quarry on their site where they have some long range targets set up. I'd love to try it just for fun. I have a couple of reach-out-and-touch-you hunting rifles that serve no real purpose for our terrain. I've never really had a chance to see what I can do with them at distance. I don't have any specialized target rifles, but it's easy for me to imagine why you enjoy it so much.

I'm sure you mean the world to that little sharp shooter you're working with. I have two daughters and absolutely love it when they shatter stereotypes. Hope your protege grows into a world beater :)

If you are talking about 340 Defense they are pricey. I bought an annual membership last year. I won’t be renewing it.

oh you got my tail wagging fo show!!!!!!

i'm gonna send you a message in the next day or two... i'd really like to hear more.

i believe we have elasticsearch or something like that embedded. everything that i've briefly read about it i don't really like. haha

we do in fact have the upgraded advanced search here. version 2.2.2 for now i disabled it and all our errors stopped coming in so i know for fact it's something within that part. i need to dig deeper and my knowledge about it is limited but i catch on quick. i'll get with you soon and see if i can't rent your time or something!!! ;thup

Way back, I used to run an old phpBB forum, but it wasn't XenForo. This morning, I Just did a very quick search on the XenForo forum about imbedding Google's site search. They had instructions for copying the code and pasting it in place of the forum search code. I have no idea if it is something the mods or forum would like. I saw some pricing on the advanced elastisearch. It seemed ridiculously high for our use, unless it is bundled up a lot cheaper. I think it was listed at like $60/mo. If accurate, that would be a pack of seeds per month, lol.

Anvil Rock Training Center is the one I mentioned.

Just not using the 340 Defense membership or disappointed in the place?

The facility is ok. But it’s to pricey for the few times a year I go. I also have a membership at the NRA range at their HQ building in Fairfax VA. Too many options out there. I could walk across the road where I live and hang a target if I really have the urge to go shooting.

Morning!
We actually have only three 600-1000 yard ranges in Mo. Our home club is a very large place with several types of ranges on it. It’s also the go to for law enforcement training. Some days when we have matches, there are entire swat teams fully geared up on the three gun range.
It’s typical here for deer hunting to sight in at 250 yards, because of the terrain.
I love the challenge of long distance shooting. Being able to smack a three inch circle at a 600 yard distance, is a challenge and I do enjoy it.
My gun is a custom build made for the sport. It also calls for a lot of reloading abilities. Always tweaking a load etc.
Currently across the US there are only five of us women that are known to the sport. I’m blessed to be one of them.
The very best part is working to become better than and or outshoot my coach, my Hubby. Poor man has to ride home with me and do I ever let him know it lol.
Im super proud to bring another female into the sport, specially one that is eight years old and already outshooting grown men. She has a very bright future in this sport and I’m happy to be a part of it. She calls me GrandMa and gives some great hugs!

We have a mix. Probably everywhere does. Some sight in slow calibers with heavy bullets at 50yds or use shotguns for tight brushy terrain. My guess is the more people sight in at 100yds. Then there will be some guys hunting farmland that will sight in at greater distances. That's for big game. We also have coyote, fox and ground hog marksmen with their flat shooting loads.

I really would like to try an informal version, sometime. I know it would bring factors into play that I've never even thought to consider.

Grew up reloading. Even took a press into the Air Force with me and reloaded in the barracks on a little stand I had a sheet metal shop guy help me build. All of my shooting has been home hobbyist level with handguns, hunting rifles, with an occasional thumbhole stock being the closest I've been to a target mod, lol. I take note of your rifle every time you post a photo. Sharp looking and flat out wild compared to anything I've ever had my hands on. Very nice.

 I know that if a thought enters my wife's brain iut comes out her mouth. It's a blessing and a curse. I always know where she stands. Sometimes I don't want to know where she stands :ROFLMAO:. I wouldn't change a thing about any of that, though.

I love hearing this. I have always despised bigotry and double standards. I was like that before I had daughters. Probably has to do with always having strong women in my life. A Grandmother who was in the Women's Air Corp during WWII. A mother who was an artist, loving, compassionate, selfless, charitable to and fierce defender of anyone she could help. Plus, a great-aunt who, during the prohibition era, was embroiled in a made for movies-type series of events that resulted in the largest man hunt in the history of WV and eventually prison 🤪

Seriously, that little girl sounds like a world beater. I love it. It's awesome that she has you teaching her how to harness and focus her powers 👊.

Mornin Yiz Menz!
It’s cold this morning in Mo. Running heat for the first time ever in August! It dropped to the mid fifties last night. This is crazy!
Morning CG. My outdoor autos went from heatwave and drought conditions to damp and freezing the last two or three nights. We’ve been sleeping with the windows open but started closing them last night. Crazy weather indeed.

Enjoy your day.

Guys, I got short plant prob. This thing is unreal. It’s a 100% indica. Everything else is growing like crazy. This one, is beautiful and super healthy looking but about 10” tall. WTH? It’s been 10’ tall for weeks!

Sounds like root issues. repot and have a look. add mycos in new soil and clip any brown roots away. If its already stalled you won't hurt it by cleaning it up. Even busting the root mass up and flushing with fresh water doesn't kill them. It just slows them down for another week or 2.

Been in the 50s every morning lately.
Still getting to 80s and upper 70s most days.
It will be a cold day in..... Upstate NY before I turn my heat on in August.
I hope you don't melt or freeze~!
Waiting to see the purple start on the outdoor plants with the chill.

I hadn't thought about the cool temps bringing out the purple in the outdoor plants. Gives me something else to keep any eye out for 👊

It was just repotted two weeks ago. From a solo cup to a seven gallon grow bag. Roots were separated at that time. But, I did dig down
to give the roots a look. Spread out, white, happy. I think this plant is a midget!

I've read about people dropping temperature late in flower to bring out colors in some strains. I never thought about it occurring naturally with temperature swings outdoors. That Sirius Black was beautiful. I'm glad you got a photo of it to share 👊

I’ve named this cactus Lil Sebastian.

It’s in the genus gymnocalicium, which are known for their long throated blooms. It extends nearly six inches from the cactus which is no more than four inches across. IMG_1042.jpegIMG_1045.jpegIMG_1044.jpegIMG_1043.jpegIMG_1041.jpeg
