CannaGranny’s Corner a Thread For General BS and Good Will On BudBuilders

What do you use to protect the tent floor from the feet going through?

Over the years we tried different sleeping arrangements. Just sleeping bags, yoga mats under, foam pads, cots, they all have plus or minuses. Another factor was if we off-roaded into the site or hiked in. We even followed old train track beds to dead/abandoned stops/towns to setup camp. Cool in the day. Creepy and spooky at night. No one let the camp fire die those trips. Lol
We have the little rug in the middle for our feet, then a tarp under the tent to protect the tent and a little buffer from the dew.

We were right under an oak tree, must have been thousands of acorns around! So funny whenever the wind blew they would drop and hit our tent like hail 😂 😂

With the cots you are so comfortable, no mat needed, a sleeping bag if it's cold or just a sheet in the summer

I haven’t been able to use cots since I was 16. Shot up to 6’-6”. My uncle was a war collector and would give me old stuff he no longer needed like army cots and army back packs, canteen, flashlights, etc.

We always had a tarp under the tent. Rarely dug a trench around them. Just learned to pick better spots. Lol

I’m old and a little rickety, I used to camp a lot but I think now I am more into glamping.
My lady and I have been looking at trailers and a new truck to haul it.

We are looking forward to traveling the countryside but we want a lot of cushion beneath our keesters!

Yeah we're getting up there now too lol

We really like the idea of a sprinter van decked out for camping or the small tear drop campers
