Gmorning, another cold snappy one this am. Clear and no wind but the ground is solid like concrete. We feed some crows and small birds that hang around through the winter, Peanuts, Sunflower seeds and suet the crows come for the Peanuts and will sit in the trees calling for us when the ground is covered in snow. I shovel off our old well head and put down the nuts and seeds. I call it Diamond mining, hoping the crows drop me something shiny as a payback....nothing yet...still hoping...lol

I actually do get gifts from the Crow. Aquarium gravel, an old car antenna tip the ones that used to screw in, bits of foil and chewing gum wrappers. I also gift them back. I buy those cheap ass gems from the craft department at Walmart and I put 3-4 of them out at a time. They are always gone at the end of the day. Funny thing has been that they have never brought me one of them back!

I removed the vent cap, and thought that was the trick, then it blew again, its only a 2ft vent straight out of the house.

I like that, I never thought of giving them shiny bobbles, Maybe They need a prompt I've been just leaving food, maybe a bobble or 2 will clue them into what I want as payback....lots of rich folks down by the water front...lol.

can you turn on the dryer in a "non heat" mode? just to test if it's something stupid with the motor failing and blowing the circuit. but if it would not blow running no heat then we're right back to square one again... follow Oldcrow, he'll troubleshoot ya through it.

Interview went well, theyre reaching out to my references and then hopefully they call me and say i got the job so we can move onto the next part.

$30.64/hr, I have to work the 1 shift (11pm-7am) for 1 calendar year and then id be eligible to change to a 2 or 3 shift. (7am -3pm or 3pm-11pm)

1 shift comes with a $1.50 differential pay

3 shift comes with a $1 differential pay.

Its something I could see myself retiring from in 32 years when im 60.

One more day to go here in the Northeast until sunrise starts getting earlier.
I know many think it all switches on 12/21 but only sunset has been making the daylight longer.
Sunrise has been getting later still until tomorrow [ 1/8 ] where it will finally turn and start coming up earlier.
7:26 sunrise is just a little too late for me.
So glad even if slow and subtle in the beginning to have the Daylight stop getting later.
I swear it has been pitch-black at 6:30 am driving into work the last week or so.
By the time we gain an hour in the morning DLS takes effect and makes us do it all again but it happens faster the second time.

Winter time is the most depressing time of the year, its dark til 730 and then its dark again at 415. Idk how people live in Alaska and shit where its dark 8-9 months of the year.
