Chocolate Chunk + Purple Hindu Kush in Flood & Drain coco/perlite by Bandit420

Chicken shit all over the floor... fking chickens...πŸ—πŸ€¨.....

Hey bandit are you running any of those 1to1 sensors...?

oh don't worry those cannibals don't care!! i give them the carcus of roasted chickens and they peck em bone clean!! same with any turkeys or turkey breasts i make.. nothing but a pile of bones left!!

they may look like cute birds but they're straight up savages!!! that one there is lucy.. named after lucille ball. she has the loudest mouth out of all my chickens!! hahaha

i too was wondering just why you would have a shark with a laser beam on it??? does that float in your rez the way you had that boat in there?

sorry jar was a poor choice in words for me to use.. i want to use these again...

View attachment 119904

needed to clean it first...

View attachment 119905View attachment 119906

i loaded two of them up with my hydro harvest last night!! can't wait to see how good it works!!

i have a couple of those, i tried one last harvest and it worked good, i wasn't really used to it yet though, still need to get the hang of it. i start to brush and then end up going back to my hands. i'll try them again one of these harvests.. maybe if i get something with bigger colas they might be good for that.

when the method of trim starts to add more than two or three minutes to it just to avoid sticky fingers then i bale. it takes me two minutes to wash my hands off and i'm stealing maybe a half dab of trics.. i can live with that.

duh i should have known that middle one was the wired ecowitt.. it's only what we've been talking about for the last week... i gave myself a face palm on that one!!!! hahaha

so i gotta ask... did you really stick one cap over the other cap and bury it? you do know that the one cap os for the led right? were you just setting it on there so you wouldn't lose it or something?

i can carry my plants outside and mine still transmit. wood cabinet, concrete wall, earth in between, still transmits fine!!

Uhoh!
I thought that was like a redundant battery cover ;smoke
I should really read the instructions at some pointπŸ™ƒ
Looks like it stopped transmitting at 4:40am but may just be a dead battery. I'll get around to checking it out soon.

Those jars look great! I was thinking mason style.
Parchment wraps around like it was destiny!

The shark laser pointer came from back in the day when I collected movie prop stuff and premier swag. The shark laser pointer came from one of the Austin Powers premiers. Also have other odd stuff like a purple leather travel bag from an Xmen movie, Sharknado swag, and a few more odd pieces.

I always think of dinosaurs when I see chickens and then think of huge chickens~!

^ scary like that~!^ 😳

Because they are!!!
I think I saw somewhere there was feathers in some raptor fossils. 6' chickens with fangs were a thing!!

i got one the way she looks at me sometimes i swear she's part raptor!!!!!

She's got that 1000 yard stare bro. She's seen some shit!!
Or yeah..she wants to eat you πŸ˜‹

I feel the same about frogs and toads.
When you see what they eat or try to eat it is scary.

IDK how people eat those critters. Frog legs, catfish, and gator...🀒
No matter how much hot sauce those damn Cajuns drown that shit in, I can always taste the swamp in it.

Hey bandit are you running any of those 1to1 sensors...?

Not sure but several sensor devices I use are the ecowitt, temp/rh and links to all kinds of gadgets but it's not on sale anymore

I use a 3 in 1 and TBH, if I could only have one device measuring environment, it's this Inkbird. Currently unavailable but there may be a newer model IDK. Can't go wrong with Inkbird gear.

I also have the AC Infinity AI controller which has 2 sensor ports that can be used for any combo of co2/rh/temp , soil moisture, and or pH&PPM. It also has built in temp/RH. So really it can be 4:1 if you wanted

The other ACI I have has a wire sensor for temp and rh. IDK it's a 69 or 67 but it's wired sensor is outside so I know what's going on out there along with what's going on inside the room.

This here.....you guys running these?

It's those post grow delicacies that make being a grower just a bit special

The Smugglers Hold is a little weighty!

Gnarly looking bud got bleached by the light but something else I've never seen before, the pistils got bleached too and dried blonde, not red

Grow's over. Racing's over. Football season is over except for a bowl game almost a month from now.
Winter's here but this year, I got toys and am fixin' to have some fun!!!
I went a little nuts diving back into the RC hobby after like 25 years.
I've been saving all the money I woulda spent on booze thru the year and kinda made a deal that if I made it thru a year and truly kicked it, I'd get into a fun clean hobby as a treat or maybe take a trip somewhere. Thought about another bass boat, jet ski, and even a dirt bike but was already enjoying the RC NASCAR so went all in on some more cars.
One of the NASCARs will get a Ford body. We're a Mustang house since my wife had a 5.0 Pony back in the day. She won't have that old Fox Body but it will be blacked out just like her old shitbox but without the dents from learning how to drive it. I just have to paint it up for her.

The 5th one on the way can apparently do this!

Attach a parachute. 🀣

You’re going to need a better printer for all the mods and additions to hold up.

My simple thought would be to slip a plastic bag over the sensor to shed moisture over it like a raincoat.
Protecting the top while allowing the probe to be exposed.;idk

Apparently it never dropped off but maybe glitched and looked liked it dropped off? IDK, but it's fine now and the graph is showing it's been online the whole time.
Rain gauge is here so I'll get that set up and check out the probe, see how the abuse is going.

I'm thinking about getting a smoke machine so when it goes airborne, a big stream of colored smoke comes out the back.
It's a beast. 50+ MPH potential and looks fast just sitting there!

Gonna check out several potential tracks today...a public baseball/softball diamond for a tri-oval dirt course....a shady oak grove of trees with no grass, just gnarly muddy dirt and stumps for jumping... and then an off road & on road spot at the library.
Gonna be a fun Winter!!!!

Will start making the Xmas hash soon but got a fat delivery of commercial grade yesterday just in time for the holiday party season.
Picked up motor breath, sour cherry, lemon cherry gelato, and a new one, Tahitian Pearl.
First 3 are about the the same but wowsers on the TP! It was twice the cost of others and it shows. Will save that for later and burn thru the other stuff and the home squish.

IMG_2833[1].jpeg

Also been toking off this monster bucket of Permanent Marker. I guess Chemdawgs have been renamed after magic marker pens now. They call it PC but I'd bet a paycheck it's old chemdawg rebranded. Still, pretty good though

IMG_2836[1].jpeg

A booster came by yesterday and brought loaves of cranberry, date, & walnut bread for everybody as gifts.
I brought mine home and made French toast out of it for dinner

bashin Rc is awesome man!!!!! there's terrain for that in all kinds of lands!! you in city, i'd be hittin up skate parks!! lots of jumps. none of my Rc friends are into them at all. i have two, well one, the other one has been kinda converted over to mud drag racing buggy. but i still have one basher that lives on. the other week i just put the snow tires on for the winter!! hehe

my bucket list RC is an xmaxx without a doubt! dude 8s batteries!!! the motor is the size of coke can!!!

.
.

i'm glad you posted the pic with the kache edibles.. i couldn't remember the name but did remember how much i ended up liking them.

.

and ya know i didn't know they gave out swag at movies!! i don't think i've ever been to a premier ever.. i think the closest was maybe one of the star wars at like three days later. haha that me, a day late a dollar short!!!

I was real close to getting an Xmaxx and also considered XRT and Sledge.
Associated was unexpected but feature for feature, gave me the best bang for the buck.
It was either going to be one serious mutha like an Xmaxx or 2-3 different and lesser rides but still tons of fun.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales were lacking unless you wanted some electronics or maybe getting an entry level RTR for a child.
My wife may be a newb and learning but she's also a grown ass woman and can step up right away to something better than toy grade.

The two Associated didn't exactly check all the boxes but they checked the most boxes and were really great deals.
The short course truck seems to fit my wife great so it's hers. Fast but not too fast and very ez to drive.
Once she gets the hand eye coordination down it will be way easier. Handling the NASCAR is good training since they may be small but they're quick and responsive and the truck is slower in the dirt and grass.

I haven't had the dirt oval out yet but that's my baby. It will be a beast soon and then the desert buggy is just for pure Hell raising at 50MPH lol.
Started to carve out my backyard track and will have a truckload of 1/4" decomposed granite delivered next week but may need two loads. Getting 10 yards of the stuff to start.
Pretty much a dirt oval with a huge berm and bank at one end with a lazy S on a back stretch and I'll build ramps from wood to move on and off the track so some races will have jumps and some with no jumps.
I think I got the RC bug again bro hahahaha!

Movie premiers are super fun man!
I don't talk about that stuff much since it's kinda boujee but yeah every year there's a huge festival here, SXSW, and it's for music, film, and tech.
It's as big as any festival for such things in the world and the film fest part of it is really cool if you're into film entertainment. It's like the town goes Hollywood for 2 days with paparazzi and celebrities everywhere and doing all the red carpet stuff
Movies are not quite as awesome as they were but I'll always enjoy a good movie and appreciate it as art.
I'm less and less into it and am more in nostalgia mode when it comes to film these days but still love a good movie that makes me gobble up some popcorn and laugh, jump scare, and eww and ahh for a couple hours.

One of the best premiers was 2024 when Cheech and Chong showed up towing a 12' long joint on a trailer!

associated has been in the game since we were kids man!! back in the day people had a lot of tamiya, but if you had an RC10 from associated you were king!! they were the very first RC company to offer ball bearings versus all the others had nylon bushings. Bearings were the first modification i ever made!!! haha

they're still a top tier company and offer some tough platforms.

It was either going to be one serious mutha like an Xmaxx or 2-3 different and lesser rides but still tons of fun.

i hear ya man, i went the same route.. plus when ya break one it's not so bad!! hehe

oh damn you do have the bug!!!! it's super easy for me to get into bashers and crawlers because of where i live.. but that would be like me having blacktop put in for the losi!!

you're bit bad!! awesome fuckin hobby though!!!!!

.

i got my mud n snow tires on and we're almost ready to rock!!!! got a couple power upgrades and had to put a wheelie bar on just to keep it's wheels on the ground!!

but as a guy that hates the smell of popcorn you could understand why i'm not a big fan of the theaters much... i need to go so piss ass drunk that i can't smell the disgusting popcorn that i don't really enjoy the movie. besides, i have better sound system at home anyway!!! hehe

.
.

so i thought you would enjoy this one.. my peak was a bit resin'd up and got under the rubber sock and even into the seam of the plastic housing.. i stripped it all down and cleaned it up and now we're back to clean texas fight colors!!!!!!!!!! it was pretty freakin gross though man.. took me like an hour..

That is one serious tear down of a Peak dude!!! Master detailer here at work!!
BTW, cant thanks you enough for your glass cleaner rec!

I didn't know they could come apart like that. You may need to walk me thru that and really it kinda explains why they're so quick to replace them but also why they charge so much.
I'm almost convinced that when you buy one, you're really buying into 2-3 with their warranty and how quick they're ready to replace one. They gotta know about all that gunk getting down in there and that's way beyond their cleaning tutorial.

I've been using my Bomb more than anything lately but using it with a peak topper lol.
I get it now with the deep bowls. I always thought the depth of the XXL was for parties and multiple people hitting it which it kinda is but that depth is great for keeping everything in the chamber and not flowing out beyond it when it starts to boil.

Man you'd love this strip of land I call the the "Riverbed" near my home.
About 75' long, 25' wide...45 degree slope, and nothing but large river rocks and boulders for crawling.
Nearby is "Root Hill", a small hill with an ancient oak at the top with it's roots exposed. Crawler paradise around the base of that old oak.
"The Grove" though is baddass and ready for bashing!! I'll get pics of these spots soon since I go thru them every day walking my dogs.

And check this out. It's about 15 minutes south of COTA!

dji_fly_20231004_070102_297_1697040287231_photo-1024x768.jpg

There's also a skatepark nearby which woulda been a great spot had a got a stunt truck.
The Losi desert buggy got here a couple days ago and holy crap is it one mean mutha!!!
It might be too much for the backyard. I have some 3S batteries on the way for it too!
Actually, I have 3S for all three cars but in the backyard, 2S is fast enough and even then I have to take the top end speed down to 75%.

It's quickly getting to be a sporty little money pit that's for sure! Probably have almost as much tied up in batteries as I do cars!

And that dang Losi...you see all the new stuff they have for the NASCAR rides now? Silverado, F150, and Tundra NASCAR truck bodies are out AND old make bodies like Lumina, Thunderbird, and Monte Carlo.
New tires with treads!!! There's Goodyear wet weather and dirt tires but also aftermarket treads from Avenger on gold or chrome rims.
They also have Dale Sr and Jr liveries out now but they're Gen7 bodies so they look weird.

I am so gonna turn my Losi into dirt track racers though dude! Or at least get better grip than those slicks with all the new tires that are out!
The slicks take too long to warm up if I'm not running hot laps all the time. A little worried about the ride height but I'll figure it out. The 1/4" granite I'll use shouldn't be like quicksand or kitty litter so we'll see. I have a barrel I'll fill with water and roll on the track to tamp it down too.

Been working on the downsizing of my room. It's like the opposite of growers creep lol. Got it all set and dropped seeds yesterday. It's gonna be a haze grow!!!!!;rockb

Major changes happening with my UV. Mammoth UV rails will be here today! The spectramax light will go from 8 rails to 10 rails with the new addition and will replace all AC Infinity UV.
I'll likely send those ACI UV out to you and DJ so Y'all can give them a go without buying into them. I still don't know about UV. I've seen flashes of performance but nothing as reliable as what others may have experienced. I think the Mammoth will be my last go at it then after that, let it go and quit buying into it.

UV is quickly falling into the category of red mylar, Bloombastic, Dark Energy, and sugar coated frosty flake strains of cannabis for me and not delivering what I thought they could deliver. Is what it is.

I'll probably post my experimental plant later. I've abused the fuck out of her looking for some answers to questions.
My 5th time trying to flip a plant to hermie with light poisoning has failed. I still don't know how a simple pinhole light leak in a tent can cause a hermie.
If Y'all saw what I did, you'd think this hoe woulda blasted nanners the next day bud didn't.
UV...saturated her in uV for two weeks straight, sometimes the UV on 36 hours and off for 12. Not one single new trichome appeared in the scoped sample area.
Right now, she's in 40 degree temps to see cold tolerance effects. I even fed her cherry koolaid to see if that would make her cherry flavor. Also found I can transfer a plant from flood and drain to hempy and not miss a beat.
Amazing, the shit you'll learn when you have a plant or two to sacrifice to experiments.

You know what now that I think about it after reading your little experiment. I still have multiple light leaks as far as I know.
I'm not going to say it yet....

I haven't seen anything negative result due to the light leaks I even have a zipper that light leaks, now granted it's all very very small but there is multiple areas where there are light leaks. And as much as I haggled with a gorilla about their tent being a POS I haven't seen anything that makes me worry/wonder....

Didn't even think about it till reading your post today for a minute, so there you go

Boy I hope I didn't just fk myself right there......🀨😎✌️

For what it is worth Moe did 'extensive' experiments with UV and said it made no measurable positive difference and abandoned them.
Those tracks look killer~!

I miss him and his experiments. Main reason I came to this site haha!
I don't do all the details and pretty much make mental notes for personal use. I cant get as technical and scientific as he could and show it but do enough to see what's up for myself. And of course if it's about increasing potency, I'm on it like flies on stink!

I do think UV has a use in bug and mold prevention which should be it's selling point but potency products sell whether they work for that or not.
The dang Sun pumps out some serious UV but often times indoor grown, without Uv, is more potent and dense than outdoor grown.

I have a list!!!
Light leaks such as the moon, pin holes, zippers, indicator lights for devices no matter the color, camera flashes, green work lights, and light from small digital displays won't cause a hermie but most important, will not stall out a plant and force it to reveg.

Light such as a room door left open and the space outside the room is lit, a porch light no matter the wattage within 25 yards of a plant, a high watt flood light or street light within 100', a malfunctioning timer, a total interruption of the 12/12 cycle back to 24/7 on will not cause a hermie but will stall out and in most cases with light poisoning more than an hour or two long, reveg a plant and a revegged plant is a waste of time IMO. Quality and yield fall and bottoms out on reveg cannabis. But still no hermie.
Those are all the different things I've thrown at plant to see if they will hermie.
The few hermies I have got were also in near perfect grows in regards to light and never the whole crop, just a few plants. I'm convinced it's 100% genetic and no different than something like a runt or mutant but we don't blame interupted lights for runts.

I'd also think using light to make hermies would be the go-to for making fem seeds instead of using collodial silver but I don't think anybody is using light to reverse a plant and get male pollen off a lady in efforts to make fem seeds.

That and your years of experience that you really paid attention to and remember.

Good point on the whole growing community not using light leaks for a simple reversal.
I wonder why? ;blah

Do you know if these will run my 820? Or do I need a cord? I figure I'd ask you first before I call them and get sold something I don't need

Are you wanting to use your AC Infinity controller as the timer for your 820 CLW?
It's very possible but you'll need the UIS plug and it can be wired or wireless.

I use this for my small CLW veg light with no controller.
The power cord from the light plugs into the UIS plug and you either use the wire or get that wireless transmitter to connect to your ACI controller. Then use the ACI app to set your timer.
Mine is wireless and the plug is up in the rafters of my space..You can see the little transmitter sticking out the side of the plug. Yeah, fuck those wires!!!πŸ˜‹

Yeah the light on the controller was the idea... But I'm not sown to it...I'm not sure but I think stoney was saying his plug glitched out a couple times, I don't know if they're the same though.

ACI has a chart for conversions for different lights for their controllers, chords, plugs, ect...

Ideally trying to figure out what best run off the controller for my space, and what goes with it

That is one serious tear down of a Peak dude!!! Master detailer here at work!!

to be fair i've had some practice. goes back to the OG peak before they made the pro. don't know if you remember but i bought a chinese knockoff from dhgate and it only worked for a couple months and the battery was shot. when i took it all apart i saw the knockoff one only used two batteries where the puffco used four!! i spent $40 on awesome batteries, even better ones than puffco specs and that thing was awesome.. OG got like 25 rips per charg, i got over 40!!! so i had experience taking apart that one before i even attempted the pro. this was my second time taking the rubber sock off my my pro. doing that does NOT void the warrantee.. there's a little black sticker under the atomizer base that voids it. so me splitting open the plastic case is what tears the sticker. just removing the sock and cleaning all that comes off without even removing a screw. it's a little sticky the very first time but after that it's easy to remove and put back together.

when i split my plastic case open to clean though i noticed the battery ack inside and it is the exact same battery size as the ones i used on the og peak.. it's four of these..

those batteries will make the pro sing the way it should... and at some point i will be replacing mine because i can already tell the batteries aren't what they used to be. but then again i have over 22K rips on it!!!!

BTW, cant thanks you enough for your glass cleaner rec!

i just used it the other day when i cleeaned the base.. i figured i went through all that to clean it i better clean the glass too!!!

I didn't know they could come apart like that. You may need to walk me thru that and really it kinda explains why they're so quick to replace them but also why they charge so much.
I'm almost convinced that when you buy one, you're really buying into 2-3 with their warranty and how quick they're ready to replace one. They gotta know about all that gunk getting down in there and that's way beyond their cleaning tutorial.

i could see that resin oozing down the plastic like that through the glass at the bottom. it's happened once before and this was my second time doing this now. it was so dried and baked on the plasic down the connector , this was the first time i cracked open the white case and actually removed screws. btw, they use tiny torx and philips.. they did this with the og peak as well so i was on to them right away with this one.

it was tough to get it all from that plastic seam..i ended up pinching a alcohol wipe in between and pulling it through the seam while pinching it closed. took a few wipes..

I've been using my Bomb more than anything lately but using it with a peak topper lol.
I get it now with the deep bowls. I always thought the depth of the XXL was for parties and multiple people hitting it which it kinda is but that depth is great for keeping everything in the chamber and not flowing out beyond it when it starts to boil.

yep, this is why i like the xl so much.. my resin issue wouldn't have happened with the xl. it's only beacuse mine is broke and i had to go back to regular size.

i haven't given up on it yet though... been taking that apart too!!!! hahaha i think i might be able to fix it!!

I'll get pics of these spots soon since I go thru them every day walking my dogs.

we have a pretty sweet course at my buddies place. he has creeks running all through it so we get to go in water and also MUD!!!! it twists through all kinds of boulders and takes about and hour to go through the entire course.

i mean we take a lot of smoke breaks and always at every single tough obstacle we all stop and wait for everybody to make it through cheering and talking shit to each other!! hahaha crawling really is a unique kind of RC and some love it and some hate it.. i find it to be the most challenging to drive and smoke friendly kind of RC. fits my style!! hehe

And check this out. It's about 15 minutes south of COTA!

dji_fly_20231004_070102_297_1697040287231_photo-1024x768.jpg

There's also a skatepark nearby which woulda been a great spot had a got a stunt truck.
The Losi desert buggy got here a couple days ago and holy crap is it one mean mutha!!!

that looks fun as hell to tear up right there!!!! hell take a gocart with ya too!!!!!!!!

It might be too much for the backyard. I have some 3S batteries on the way for it too!
Actually, I have 3S for all three cars but in the backyard, 2S is fast enough and even then I have to take the top end speed down to 75%.

careful with the 3s bro... just be careful.. it's not just a little more powerful, it's 33% more powerful!!! i pretty much destroyed my entire drive system in my traxxas with a 3s.. caused me to upgrade every gear, axle, and pin to the ungraded hardened steel versions. i even bent a wheel hub pin with a 3s battery!!! my friends and i didn't even know that was possible. it was so bent i had to cut it off and put a new one on.

but man so much fuckin torque it's scary!!!!!!!!!!! i still run the 3s now and again but i'm just gentle with her... but if wanna get all mean and salty it's the way to go for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just be carful man!!!!

It's quickly getting to be a sporty little money pit that's for sure! Probably have almost as much tied up in batteries as I do cars!

one thing is though a quality battery will last a long time.. cheapos, not so much!!!! a fully charged battery will weigh more so big jumps and important races should be done with a slightly drained battery!!!! hehehe (RC cheat code!!)

nd that dang Losi...you see all the new stuff they have for the NASCAR rides now? Silverado, F150, and Tundra NASCAR truck bodies are out AND old make bodies like Lumina, Thunderbird, and Monte Carlo.
New tires with treads!!! There's Goodyear wet weather and dirt tires but also aftermarket treads from Avenger on gold or chrome rims.
They also have Dale Sr and Jr liveries out now but they're Gen7 bodies so they look weird.

i have been so impressed by how much popularity is still growing with them... it's like a small cult!!! guys are getting into the triple digit speeds with them!!!!!!!!

i wanna go brushless and a pinion swap after the holidays are over...

I have a barrel I'll fill with water and roll on the track to tamp it down too.

the sky is the limit really!!!!! might wanna look at closing the bottom end up a little for dirt.. just the little bit of grass and dirt i've gotten mine into really cruds up the inside.. the open sides on the bottom is great for street but i think should be covered for gravel or dirt. just to keep the electronics and servo protected a little.

Been working on the downsizing of my room. It's like the opposite of growers creep lol. Got it all set and dropped seeds yesterday. It's gonna be a haze grow!!!!!;rockb

i've been meaning to ask you if you were gonna change anything up or try anything new? seems like you really have an awesome thing going there with the food and drain organics!! i assume you'll just perfect that a little more?

Is what it is.

you've been at this for a while now, starting out small and getting bigger. i have not once heard you say it's a game changer or even one being better than the other. you started out with those CLW flouros and only gotten bigger and better once since then.

i was really hoping there would be better news at this point. maybe you throwing a ton of power on them will make a change an be worth the trouble.

I miss him and his experiments. Main reason I came to this site haha!

i miss him too!!! i haven't given up yet. i still bug him on email and stuff. he told me the other day that he has 10+ years worth of weed and this isn't the first time he's said this. Grump and i were talking about flying out and crashing his stash and just smoking it all up on him so h has to grow more!! hahaha

i know for a fact he still has a tent up and his fogponics still in there because he told me himself. no plants in it but it's also not in storage either!!!! every once in while i throw a what if out there, maybe one will stick and he'll get the bug again. he uses words like kinda and most likely so i never say never yet!!!!!

it is sad he's not around here anymore though, i mean he built this place, laid all the bricks in place and opened the doors!! it's no secret that he's leaving and won't be logging on much at all. as you may know Steamroller has graciously picked up the slack from this and will keep Budbuilders going as long as everybody is still sticking around and wants to be here. Steam reminded me of something a few days ago and thats Budbuilders is going to continue on because of all of you guys making that happen. we are 100% ad free and will continue to do so. if it wasn't for all of you guys contributing and posting this place would never survive. almost anyone can buy a website and service, it's all the great people here that make this place great and without you guys there would be no budbuilders for Moe to even pass on. and i mean Moe just wanting to see this place live on and not wanting anything for his time or help.. class act!!! and i'm so happy Steam stepped up because he ooze's just as much class and i couldn't be happier about the situation that we must deal with.

I think you're in the clear. Pretty sure bad bougie doesn't include getting your hands dirty gardening. Probably more of a lifestyle than just a once a year festival. If I'm wrong, I'd be cool wearing the bougie tag for a few days. That event sounds pretty darn cool.

I think next to him you share the most different ideas and information on the forum.

I also 100% believe herms are genetic.
Good point on the whole growing community not using light leaks for a simple reversal.
I wonder why? ;blah

Breeding has been the biggest reason I've played with trying to hermie plants. Colloidal silver is doing the same thing but with chemicals. Seems like it could be a useful tool if could be controlled. Some kind of sock to slip over a branch and blast it with light to hermie it.
If onl;y it really was that ez hahaha.
I try to do the same with stretch and work with it instead of against it. Basically any negative or hurdle to growing, I try to flip the script and make it an advantage.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I got those parts and tried to use them to connect CLW to ACI and it won't work.
They're kinda lying by omission with that.
What it really means is there's an adapter to convert UIS to RJ11 and will allow you to control Spider Farmer, Mars, and Viper lights using the Samsung EVO set up.

All three of those brands are under the same umbrella and advertise or act like they're the only grow equipment suppliers on Earth.
It's weird how they don't recognize that there's other brands of lights and operate in this sort of isolation but yeah if you asked them about connecting to CLW, Gavita or others with Rj11 connection, they'll act like you're from another planet and those lights don't exist.

The ACI plug can have it's share of gremlins. One of mine was wonky but I suspect it was due to a worn and weak breaker that was always tripping. After I replaced the breaker, the gremlins in the plug moved out.
The two I'm using have been flawless since, knock on wood.

ACI is also coming out with that new power strip and it would work.
Other than the CLW controller designed for it or using something like an Alexa style smart plug, I think you're stuck using a traditional timer.

BTW...How you liking my guy Byron Murphy? Yeah I see your Seahags with that 10-3 and playoff bound record!
You got them Longhorns on your roster!
I keep telling Stoney, the Raiders need some Horns. You see their abysmal record without any Longhorns and you know who leads that division? The Donkeys and you know what the donkeys have? Lots of Longhorns!!!!:ROFLMAO:

That's really cool to read man! Viva La Bud Builders!!!

I'm gonna do a tear down& detail on my peak now thanks to you! Take the mystery out of it for me at the very least.

I've kinda settled in on so much in how I want to see my grows happen but a few more stones I'd like to overturn are high brix cannabis which I remember Moe posting some about and lights on time.
High brix in flowers could be something to look at to increase terps, oil yields, and potency. He got me all excited about going down that rabbit hole then gone!!
Lighting...I just feel like 12/12 is outdated with the new tech. 10/14 @50DLI just gave me monster flowers. I might take that down to 8/16. Serious savings on the light bill right there and increase or keep yields the same? Sign me up!!!

He was also into tissue culture and I've been watching some things about that. It may take several of us to pick up on the things Moe left off on hahaha! Like instead of running back by committee, we'll need to to grower by committe to finish some of that stuff!

Man...You got me nervous about the 3S now!
You'll have to clue me in on what you get for your Losi. I kinda like the speed as is but am always looking for grip.

Yep, downsized!! Like that movie Stepbrothers...So much room for activities!!!

IMG_2847[1].jpeg

It's in germination configuration today.
One table but with two lifts so it's like Dr. Dre rapping about his 16 switches, 🎢🎢front back side to side and all that shit!🎡🎡
Reducing plant capacity from as many as 18 down to only 9.
Footprint for root zone is only 3'x3' but canopy footprint has a 5'x5' potential.
Downsized or streamlined, that's what I've done but now I have access to all 4 sides of the grow and not just the front.

I'm not sure I could just stop growing. I don't need any weed but do love to grow it and really, could use a fat stash of haze to match the new fat stash of indica but beyond that, even if it's just one plant, I'm always gonna have something growing year 'round.
I think 2 grows a year would set me up fine for supply but it's just fun so why not downsize a bit in a sort of cruise control, content with everything and the plan I have going forward.

I've circled back to some things that to me, kinda signal the search is over and just have some fun growing weed.
I've chased genetics and found after all this I'm content with a really good indica and a haze. It doesn't need a story, come from a famous breeder, cup winner status, or even be tested since I don't do that anymore either. I know good pot and that's enough for me. I went down this rabbit hole looking for cookies and all that new stuff only to come back home to a good ol Afghanis and silver hazes being the faves.
When I shop for seeds now I look for one main bit of criteria...was it around before social media? If yes, then it may get my money. If it's a no, stay away.

Curing & drying..I like what I do there and the things I have to do it.I'd bet there's better but this works great and gives me what I'm looking for. That search is over.
That's like growing method too..all about preference. Nothing will move me off hydro-organics. IDK if it's the best way to grow and don't care. It's too fun for me to stop.
Have always loved flood and drain and ended up coming back to it after Lord knows how many different things I've tried out.
I wouldn;t trade any second of the journey or any of the experiments and failures for anything because without them, I would not have come full circle on so much.

With that...my last go at UV! It's make or break for the pretty blue lights!
Good fit. Not perfect but good. Got 'em strapped in with metal zip ties.
Pulse has dropped off again so I can't measure spectrum or PPFD. Fuckers.
Dims from 14 watts to 103

I think you're in the clear. Pretty sure bad bougie doesn't include getting your hands dirty gardening. Probably more of a lifestyle than just a once a year festival. If I'm wrong, I'd be cool wearing the bougie tag for a few days. That event sounds pretty darn cool.

Bougie is fine in small doses but so much of that is not what it's cracked up to be at all!
Festival crowd has really changed in recent years. Too many influencers and live streamers creating content and basically ruining any good experience. Cant go to a show without everybody having a phone up. People have such FOMO they'll miss something, they pee themselves and it's acceptable so a bunch of people smell like pee. Rude people beyond belief!!! Litterbugs are prolly my biggest peeve.
There's still moments of awesomeness but it can easily be ruined and overshadowed by an assclown.
It's getting to be like that at football games too. But then again, I could just be getting old and grumpy about young crowds lol.
Not like that at races though. It's more like family there and no matter the age, every person is thrown back to being a 10 year old kid.

Fuckers.

The room looks soooo empty! Feels wrong some how. πŸ€”

Boy I hope I didn't just fk myself right there......🀨😎✌️
My first and only tent, so far, is a Gorilla. I haven't been blown away by the quality either. I haven't said anything, because so many people recommended it that I assumed it was a one-off situation. Even has a port I can't use because the double sleeves are stitched together. No big deal, I just had higher expectations. I'm situating some stuff for a little grow here soon. I'll have to get in and check for light leaks.
