That is the oldschool rig I read about and made in the 80's- 90's

With a strainer and the herb you just let the alcohol boil and condence on the cooled top.
Reclaiming you place a bowl where the strainer was and the alcohol falls into bowl leaving the oil.
I believe this was the book I had.
This is the book with pictures and explanation.
I eventually completely changed how I di it using a coffee maker, hot plate with 12 quart sauce pan and finally pyrex bowl for finish product.
Now I have rice cooker and a ditiller for the alcohol.

So we're all on the same page here since DJ loves leaving out critical information all the time
...It's the Source Turbo from Extract Craft and yep it's a dead on ringer manufactured replica described in the old school alchemy book.This was my old extractor I used a few times before finally realizing I really don't use or need RSO and prefer rosin over distillates then I sold it to DJ.
There's probably a billion youtube videos on how to use it. Some even use it for mushroom extracts!
I think I had some posts of a few runs with it in an old journal. Can't remember which though.
Yeah it's just a QWISO then filter the ethanol thru a coffee filter and what goes thru the filter goes into the crucible of the extractor.
It heats and the ethanol turns to vapor then rises to the top where it hits the lid covered with ice. Ice turns the vapor back to liquid and it drips down into the outer container for reusing.
I think Moe had one as well before going bigger.
Takes a very long time to complete a cycle...like 5-8 hours was my extraction times

The darker stuff was what was left over from the first run and I left it just in the fridge and ran it this morning. It did lighting up a bit.
I should just leave the extra in the freezer?

I I was surprised at what actually did happen with this blue light...more on that next time...
Trics have been scoped, and there cloudy with some ambers. Not as much as I'd like well wait any longer they're going to start foxtailing like this diesel plant tried to do pisses me off...
Fuck... Irritating ...this particular diesel plant is throwing nanners and trying to throw more white hairs at the same time, I can see where it's going to start foxtailing if I don't get it out of there but the trics are not cloudy enough to be done, so fuck it pulled...

Thing I noticed/picked up on.. those list clips...I pulled those off after reading about possible restrictions due to knuckling... Kind of common knowledge I would think.... you'd think... I pulled them off about 2 weeks ago and I did see the buds open, as in the above picture.
I felt that there was something off the whole grow with the 3 the 4th didn't really matter strawberry cookies OG because it was stunted and screwed up from the get-go...
So yeah I think I kept the clips on a little bit too long , make some look cool though, and is the built-in dryer spreader..rr
This is nasty.....
Think there's any life in there .... Springtails I'm guessing..... The Neptune's harvest stuff when I pulled the wicks out of those. I'm surprised that these fabric parts aren't that stained up the wicks bled white when I pull it out
Inside is just some roots.. standard stuff.. I was expecting more residue... I would run the Neptune's harvest again and probably will....
I'll get the rest of it cut in the next few Daze......
