This mini Cooper.... Damn thermostat housing for the coolant started leaking the other day. This is a new one i put on just last year. It's plastic... So go figure.

There's where it split. Fucking pos...
Here's the new one, upgraded metal version and replacing the transfer pipe that goes from water pump to this with an aluminum one as well. Fuck it, try to minimize fail points for my daily driver.
Did this yesterday. Everything done and then no boost... Fucking stressful. We did have the intake manifold off and a million other hoses and connections to get access to change the part, so it could be anything.
Turns out after a lot of trial and error, it turned out to be two vacuum lines on the bottom of the engine in the rear that got pulled when putting that pipe in.... Everything is good now, just so fucking stressful trying to troubleshoot shoot something that's not throwing any codes and can not hear and boost leak, just no boost. We checked all the vacuum lines up top a million times but it was fucking this one connection point way way down we didn't think about because we didn't mess with any of it.
Moral of the lesson, trace the vacuum lines ... Holy fuck Batman
