It's been over a year and finally able to get back to growing. Life decided to throw a curve ball at us but in the end, I think we crushed it.

Back in July of 2024 got news that I needed to move. I had inherited a home from my father after his passing and was 50/50 owner with my sister. She forced a sale and my family and I ended up moving up to Sacramento. Long story short we have finally got things together. Ultimately this is going to be a grow diary, but I wanted to share some pictures of the move and the new and improved grow room.

We had moved out of our old house back in January and started living with the in-laws for around 4 months while we waited for our home to be completed. We moved in towards the end of May in a newly built track home and got to work.

Day we moved in the garage looked like this. The goal was to turn our tandem garage into a grow room. Something the wife and I had been talking about for a long time.

First things first, had to get the floor finished.

Next step was to seal off the tandem garage and make a wall to for our new grow room. I'm not a wood worker, dry wall guy or door framer so please be gentle lol. This was our first stab at this type of work.

Once the wall was up we moved some stuff into the new grow spot. Previously it had been hiding in our in-laws garage. Their neighbor is a LEO, and while a chill dude, we didn't want any unnecessary attention. We kept as many moms as we could, but were ultimately left with just 5 moms. We ended up planting a few seeds as well since I've been sitting on a few hundred. Also installed a 100amp subpanel for the grow room. I installed one in the garage of my last grow area and it was amazing.

Now that we had our ladies back in our domicile more work was done to the wall. Added a layer of insulation inside the wall as well as finishing it. I didn't take any pictures once we dry walled it, but it's just dry wall. Also hung the door in the frame. That sucked. A lot.

With the wall complete we started by adding more insulation along the walls of the flowering area. It was mostly with the idea of adding another reflective surface but doubles as a way to cover the window and provide even more insulation for the grow room. Also had an HVAC team come out and install a mini split for the room. HVAC guys were awesome, and it was very interesting chatting with them.

Next step was building the growing tables. While they aren't the most space efficient, they do raise the ladies off the floor and provide a way for us to move them making it so much easier to do maintenance.

Next up was wiring for all the lights. I actually like wiring and all that jazz so this was fun for me. Ultimately it ended up looking pretty clean. Got the lights hung and provided some killer outlet locations.

So this brings us to roughly a week ago. We had some clones that we didn't need, and while we weren't completely done with the room (still have fans, and other various things to install still) the girls were getting to big. Decided to give the room a test run with the extra ladies and see how it goes.

Transplanted the girls into 3g pots and gave them a week to figure it out lol.

Next post will catch us all the way up.

Now for the grow part of the grow lol.

We flipped them to flower last Friday, 9/12/25, and the ladies have been off to the races. We have 4 Dante's infernos, a single Grape Gas, 3 Donnie Burgers and 3 Glitter Bombs. Placed some trellis nets down and have been try to keep the height manageable. The Dante's and Donnie Burgers were bigger than what we wanted when we sent them to flower but eh...

Here are some pictures from Sunday. Will get some more tonight when the lights flip on.
