Greenpoint Seeds

Yea I'll never really bitch past the "that's too expensive" complaint as far as what breeders charge. I realize operating costs are different everywhere and time is money but yea, cheap packs are nice but this is the kind of stuff I expect for below 20 a pack.

I'm from the day when a good 8th was 50 sometimes 60, for flower....so to me 50 or 60 on a pack ain't bad if it does what it's supposed to. Hell 150 ain't bad if I get more than 10.5gs of flower haha šŸ˜‚
Yea I was like 11-17 or so , then 8ths were 50, qt was 60-80 , halfs, 100-150, 220-280 for an oz
.good grams could be 25

I tried to find an old argument I had with Gu many years ago, I think on RIU............he didn't care about hermies then and I guess he still doesn't care much now either. After showing pictures of my full blown male, he kept saying "so?" which just pissed me off more. I posted everything on numerous sites and he kept following me around telling me to give it a rest. I was trying to get the word out. No apology, no restitution, nothing resolved...........Id love to find it and so I could post his responses. Seeds back then were way before auctions, probably $150 a pack or so. No $20 seeds ever in those days.

Man not looking good

If I can get one or two more good plants out of my gps stock I'll feel it was worth it. But I'm shy to want to grow any now for sure

I'll eventually grow most of mine but drop more seeds, likely entire packs to get 2-3 keepers. There's good pot in there, just gotta keep an eye out and pay attention those first couple weeks of bloom. Mutants cull themselves early and there's no point in holding up a grow waiting for them to come around. Just replace it.
I'm mostly looking at keeping operating costs down, like not wasting good soils on plants that may have defects later and stuff like that.
And of course sow seeds from other sources which will tell 100% if it's "grower error" or fucked up pollen chucking.

This is my guide to GPS now...

If the pouch is white, there's solid fire in there and plants will be high quality
The green dull pouch is where in the timeline things really start to decline. It gets hit and miss here, drop 3 seeds for every 1 plant needed.
Shiny green pouch = lots of mutants and very high chance of hermie. Low priority, only drop 'em if you don't have anything else. Drop the whole pouch and hold your breath.

Here I'd beg to differ. My mutants showed up after budsites started to appear. They started stretching and never stopped. Ended up culling two and harvesting one full of goofy-ass nugs like this.

He might start putting them in white satchels now šŸ«£
The guy legit made his mother sell her house so he could get off the ground as GPS....
Hell do fucken anything for a buck....

I've learned more than I wanna know about Anthony Gualdi this year, he's a pos imo.

Buuut. If you dig into most breeder backgrounds, it's usually not good.

have you seen seedlyā€˜s Goody..has reverse auctionsā€¦oh dang I done it nowšŸ˜‚

I woulda killed her and she woulda never made it harvest here.
The vine like stretch is indeed mutant but more so in the sense of some traits you don't want are showing. Like an ugly deformed child of hemp and Thai cannabis is what you ended up with there.
Most of his mutants show signs early like double leaves on one node, layered leaves with blades on top of each other, and straight up abnormal retarded growth

This thread is giving me anxiety, can never make them finish better than genetic potential, but Iā€™m gunna push forward and see what I can get. For 10 days growth, Iā€™m actually optimistic with their vigour , but the proof is always in the flowers. IMG_6104.png

I've done 2 rounds with their beans and both produced some fire. I did fight 1 serious herm and another that only 1/4 hermed and it wasn't too bad.

Like everyone else says, keep a close eye on them early in flower and pluck all the ballsacks.

Yours look good to go so far, I wouldn't panic personally.
My hermie was the first in at least 100 if not more plants from Greenpoint Seeds but there is a bad trend with the most recent strains being produced. That one plant isn't gonna stop me from planting the rest of my seeds but it did make me unsubscribe to the mailing list and will not buy any more of those strains being "bred" by Heisan.

^This^
While I did not have 'issues' I do not dismiss all that has been said here.
Will I finish off my GPS seeds?
YEP, but not in my next grow.
I should probably just grow 1 or 2 at a time to make watching them easier.
I have not had a herm yet from any supplier since I started back up a couple years ago.
I also believe myself that herms are 100% genetic and as others have said it is not stress related.
I stress my plants more than I even want to.
Slacker thing... šŸ„“

fuck yeah Mr Red, I'm down for sure!!! soil vs dro!!!!!!

we kinda did though without you knowing it.. we both grew imperium X almost the same time. yours came out the lightest of your group and mine came out the heaviest of my group.. don't know if that's against the rest of mine or a prop for the imperium x!!

i wonder how many growers here we could get to grow the same strain at the same time? maybe a contest idea????
Hell yeah i love grow contest and grow and shows. I would be down. I don't think i have any GPS atm.

Looks like the autos seeds are ready to go, just gotta shuck them and let them sit out for about a week to get that final dry on so they can germinate effectively. Bunch of restocks and some new autos dropping like:
Headband (auto)
Lemon Tree (auto)
GMO (auto)
Stardawg (auto)
Amnesia Haze (auto)

Gu, were these new seeds grown out and tested at all? this is a fear some of us have on your expedited new operation.

for sure!! i am always down for colab grow or contest of the same strains. just for the fun in it really. i have lots of seeds, we could always arrange something in the future on this!!

I totally get where you're coming from about the new operation. Rest assured, weā€™ve been careful with each step, and every batch of these seeds is tested in house and by you guys. Since autos donā€™t allow for cuts, weā€™re extra selectiveā€”only keeping seeds from the top-performing plants to ensure the genetics are as stable as possible. Thatā€™s why the supply is a bit limited, but the quality is always our top priority.

A collab grow or contest sounds like a great idea! Iā€™m all about bringing the community together. For me it's usually public testing and I'll have those auto testers shortly.

Appreciate your interest and feedback as always!

Thanks for your response Gu, i appreciate your honesty and i look forward to seeing how your new gear performs.

Hello Gu,
Just so you know, there are no seed sales allowed here unless you have been approved by the boards members.
Should you be approved, there is a monthly fee for selling here. Everyone else pays it. If you are approved itā€™s only fair that you do so as well.
Until such time, pending approval and payment of the monthly fees in all fairness I have to ask you to stop using this forum as a way to sell/test your seed.
Any of you choosing to do business with an unapproved source has no guarantees from this forum and it must not be done on this forum.
Please contact a member, a mod etc. to discuss approval. I prefer it be someone other than myself whom is an approved seed vendor as well as a mod. It will be put to a vote, and we will get back with you. In the meantime I will be deleting your post.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

Alrighty now :) Apothecary is kinda full at the moment so I decided to pop some Greenpoint fare in the 36 tent and we;ll see what happens. I have the Dantes Inferno S1 and the Oreoz S1 and Creatures and Cream (which is a cross of the first two)
Also in the tent are 2 Deathstar OG's and a Tsunami x Romulan that I made. That's the only reg, all the others are Fems. These are sitting up off the floor by 22", I move my plants, not my lights. Speaking of light, they are under a 400 W metal halide. I'll switch to HPS later in a different tent.

I'll update sporadically ;)

Looking fine so far!

@willie
Yeah like others I want to see how you do.
MH right from seedling?
Man I know there is a difference beyond electric cost.
You seem to always grow fire.

Thanks, the plants absolutely love vegging in that metal halide.
I ran some earlier leds but never gave up my hps or mh lights. You get more heat with the old tech but you also get much more penetration. Both my tents are running approx 36% and mid 70's tempwise. That's the thing is to get rid of the heat. Looking at everything in perspective, the additional cost to run HID's is negligible. I am lucky enough that both my tents are on outside walls and have 6" Infinty's set to bend the tent poles :) so it's easy for me to dump the heat.

9" square pot roots on the flip........loves that mh :)
