They are made in the Lou! For those of you not from the Midwest or fans of Nelly that’s short for St Louis. Been to the manufacturing location but couldn’t talk them into giving me a sampleProlly only costs 150-200 bucks to make but because it's made for cannabis it costs a small fortune.

Have you had issues? I hear claims that some buds off the same plant can test all over the place.$1100 was the floor price. After moisture testing was added and then dispos and commercial farms got in on it using it to test samples before getting certified test results the price went way up.
When the concentrate beta testing is done it will go up again. Terp testing is on the horizon as well.
More like over $7mil invested initially and I think I remember them needing another 4mil on top of that to get a product and app out to the public. There was a ton that went into it from pharma, tech, and agriculture science. And it did not come without glitches in the beginning like most all other tech startups.
If their tech was ez to reproduce, it would be widely available and there would be Chinese knock-offs. It's been like around 5 years and they still stand alone.

I know it's not gonna be lab accurate, but should be close enough imo.
Not that any of it matters to me, I'll never own one I was just curious your experience since idk anyone else woth one.
Lol too funnyG$, he once tested some of my buds and one of my Max AC tested HIGHER than his did!!!!! from that moment forward i knew that device was legit!!!!
You from Mo. too? They are made in the Lou! For those of you not from the Midwest or fans of Nelly that’s short for St Louis. Been to the manufacturing location but couldn’t talk them into giving me a sample

I'm curious cause if I can find a used one for like 500, maybe, just maybe I'd buy one if they're that legit. I've just know I've read my share of bad reviews, but that happens with everything when people don't know how to use the item lol
That would b my limit aswell.they would sell more If they can bring it down for the home growers.there must b millions of us….anything cannabis related is price gouged. Thanks I'ma keep an eye on for a used one I think
If I could find on for like 5 hundo I may be in, i had seen these before but hoped you had found something else lol ...the Chinese knockoff lol
Same plant tests can vary widely. A cola top may test at 20%, but a lower bud will test at 12%. Dispos will put that high test on everything sellable from that plant or lot # of plants. That's one reason why they use the Purpl Pro is to save $$ on lab testing, only sending their best samples in for testing.
The worst of the glitches are well over. It took patience I admit to be part of something that was pretty much crowd funded only for it to stumble out of the gate and then have faith in the people to be committed to it. In the end it paid off.
It's accurate to lab GC testing by +-3% when I compared it to a Colorado lab.
It's by far the most sensitive instrument I've ever owned.
It needs to be rebooted before nearly every test session and calibrated 1x a week if not more, and it's battery does not hold it's charge so it needs to be charged before every test session.
But once calibrated and charged, I can run off maybe 100 tests if I wanted. I usually tap out at around 30 tests.
I've used it as a guide really to find my ways into growing the most potent crop possible. Everything from how I train to feed has been helped with potency testing.
The last couple hurdles it helped me with was finding that no veg grown pot could be just as if not more potent than long veg crops and it showed me curing has little to no effect on potency. And then it also showed bleached bud tips were no more or less potent than regular.
I kinda put it right up there with my PPFD meter on the usefulness scale.
That cut was all over the place!! I never did find one top over 20%. Doubt MaxAC will ever be grown again here
You can get into testing for less than that with the paper & dye tests and there's other somewhat similar devices that use a smell sensor to detect potency. Purpl Pro is pretty much the Cadillac of them all not using the smell sensor and instead light calibration.
I've seen others give false readings on non cannabis stuff and I've treid to trick mine with basil, lawn grass, and shredded paper and it didn't fall for my ruse.
No at home test method is 100% on point today but it does beat spending $$ on one time tests or tens of thousands on GC lab equipment.
I would never let mine go for only $500 but $1200 will get me listening

what plant has tested your highest @Bandit420 .
that's actually cheap, my buddy had a CBD business and got a gov grant and splurged on a Gemmacert machine for 8k. basically does the same thing as thing one so not sure where the other 6k goes2Gs tho
Coke and hookers....and DMTnot sure where the other 6k goes
High Average for Thai landrace is supposed to be 17%....Most potent was Ript Banana at 28%
Most potent from Greenpoint was Texas Butter at 26%
There's been a lot of GPS in the low to mid 20s and a couple handfuls at 16-19%
Lowest tested was a Thai landrace coming in at 7% but had a terp entourage that made it feel like a 25%er
