Let’s talk Indica

Most of my interest when I first got started in weed (70s), was just getting a lid. Didn’t care if it caused me paranoia or ecstasy, just wanted to catch a buzz.

Years later, uhh decades later!!! I started really digging the Sativa effects. Get high, clean the entire house and the car, maybe take 4 walks around the block, you know, sativa stuff!

Now, I’m looking for something that will just shut me down.

In the past, I’ve really liked Icecream cake, forbidden fruit, northern lights and a few others, but nothing has just pushed the off button for me.

What is everyone’s personal favorite for “knock you out” indica weed?

Yeah, I too am on that path. I recently grew some Sativa and not without some challenges, so looking forward to next Sativa grow. I want to experience some real Sativa without growing challenges that limit the ability to finish out with high quality flower...lol.

Now I am looking for the same Indica as you. I want to hit it and sleep pain free all night. Kinda over the Hybrid stuff.

I've smoked pot for 55 years and I can't find a difference between a Sativa or an Indica, high wise. Growing yes there's a difference or perceived difference in the type of buds we call sativa leaning with taller, hairier, wispier buds that take longer to flower. I see the difference between sativa's and Indica's like the difference between Coors and Bud, or Miller, taste is different but buzz is all the same if its 5% its 5% all same. I either get the buzz or I don't if I don't its crap weed Sativa or indica, all this head stone body stone is lost in me. weeds weed just good or not so good, even bad weed is better than none.

I guess what I’m referring to is some weed makes me just want to sit and eat.

Some makes me want to clean the house, take a bike ride or hike and exercise.

I usually go with the peppy stuff. Maybe it’s a little thcv or one of the terps but I usually go for speedy weed.

I’m now looking for something that will knock me out.

I go for day with only an hour of sleep. It sucks. Gotta shut down the brain. Psilocybin would probably do it but I’m not sure I want to deal with the potential mind wandering that shrooms can elicit.

Best one I have and it's a break glass in case of every other cut of cannabis goes tits up strain in my stash. It's Motown Lockdown from DJ Short.
It's an older hybrid but there's hard indica leaning phenos in there delivering couchlock, stupid spaced out vibes, and munchies.

Outside of that I look for Afghani and purple kush. If it goes purple in the last few weeks, naturally and not from cold or any other grower tricks, you're in the good indica grass. The purps should grow from inside out and not outside in. So buds go purple first then leaves, not the other way around. That's how you can tell a legit purple cut of cannabis and if you have that you have indica
