Been a minute since I’ve been on here. I’m curious about a light I recently got from a friend for dirt cheap. Honestly didn’t want the light. Never seen one like it and never heard of them. Here are some pics.

Is this thing even worth using?
What is it’s purpose related to growing?

My buddy told me he got it years ago which is obvious from the date 2015. He planned on doing some growing. Bought this and a tent. But never used either. If anyone has any knowledge about this light please let me know. Thanx for reading

Also got a new grow going. I’m about 6 weeks in. So need to get a journal started. Thanx again.

Looking great!

Says 100K hours life for bulb.

I remember those lights. They came out right before LED hit the scene.
They were the 3rd alternative when all we had was HID and T5HO.
I remember the shop demo and walking away with the impression that it gave T5HO results at 5x the price.

When I first glanced at the bulb I thought it was 2 t8‘s ..so that’s a cool 5k bulb .

I found that the FS is Full Spectrum. IN400FS.

The PS is for Plant Spec C.

Another issue is I’m not sure which bulb is in the light. The bulb is not stamped or marked. I’m just going to assume that by the Model # GC27-400E - IN400FS is Full Spectrum with a 3,100k bulb.
